Well I'd never consume sucralose, or any other artificial sweetener, in any actual food/drink, just because it's so bad for the digestive tract and immune system -- far worse than sugar could ever be. But in my vape, I don't mind it at all... though I find I don't need nearly as much since my tastebuds started waking up.

I know. But it's like "Hey! Let's tell them sugar is no good for you and then come up with something that might be worse! Great marketing, agreed?"

And people wonder where the run on IBS and gassy poops has come from. But hey, let's sell them another ineffective supplement for that. I mean c'mon - they are even targeting a probiotic supplement for kids now. Shameless.

The main problem with sugar is that people these days seem to never have heard of moderation -- if sugar is consumed *moderately*, it's really not an issue. But now they put sugar in EVERYTHING, and people drink all this soda and sugar-sweetened crap -- which is far better than all the artificially-sweetened crap, but try telling all those braindead, brainwashed morons THAT -- it's really not a bit surprising that both obesity and diabetes are running amok... and all the obese people who SHOULD be worried about their health, are instead worried about their fucking self-image. Maybe they shoulda thought of their self-image before they fattened themselves up like the christmas goose!

I grew up in an era where it wasn't a kids breakfast cereal unless it had the word "sugar" in the name. It wasn't Frosted Flakes back then, it was Sugar Frosted Flakes.

Super Sugar Crisp
Sugar Krinkles
Sugar Stars
Sugar Smacks
Sugared FrostyO's
Sugar Pops
Sugar Sprinkled Twinkles
Sugar Puffs
Sugar Jets

Likewise! I'm a faithful member of the Pepsi generation! :giggle: But even though I still like Pepsi, I very seldom drink it; the only soda I consume with any regularity is Canada Dry Ginger Ale -- the only one worthy of being CALLED "ginger ale", all the others are just insipid carbonated sugar water. And the only reason I do drink it is because of all my many and varied stomach upsets -- both the carbonation and the real ginger used to make it are excellent for an upset stomach; if you take 1-2 ginger capsules, and start to feel the ginger "burn" in your throat, sipping Canada Dry enhances that burn, which is very helpful; ginger soothes nausea by directly affecting the vagus nerve and associated nerves in the throat and esophagus -- the more it burns, the more it helps! :)

I like ginger ale but we always got 7Up as a kid when someone was feeling a little off kilter.

As an adult - or whateverthehell I am at this point - I seldom do sodas any more. But I'm a big fan of Italian fizzy burpy water - Pellegrino. :teehee: No flavored seltzers though.

This shit keeps up I am gonna just go get buzzed and call it a day!
Actually I didn't send those. They missed me completely by like two miles. Guess I dodged another bullet there. Batten down the hatches choppy

"Better Living Through Chemistry"

Think I recall seeing the phrase in research applied at an earlier date in regards the making of pigment dyes for use in textiles by a Prussian (German) company / conglomerate of chemists. Point being it is not really a new idea. There's always some minority of "stupid idiots" (thank you Chris Jericho) that believe they can make human beings "better".

ETA: Nothing. Apologies, I got a bit lost. Thought I had more to add but then realized I do not.

Oh yea. Fuck Thursday. Fuck "do nothing" days. Most importantly go fuck yourself!

I've always liked 7Up, at least, better than sprite... but it doesn't have ginger, which is an anti-emetic all by itself. But, to be REAL ginger ale, it has to be Canada Dry. ;)

but sold as good stuff.
Ginger bread.
Ginger ale.
Ginger Lynn.

I like Ginger Snaps better than ginger bread; I like ginger ale, but it MUST be Canada Dry. But just because you don't like something, doesn't make it bad -- you have tastebuds unlike 99% of the rest of the world's.

No idea who Ginger Lynn is.

I always seemed to like the "wrong" (according to most guys) woman on TV shows when I was growing up. Charlie's Angels for example? My favorite was Kate Jackson.

Mine too, but I think mainly because when I was young, I sorta looked like her -- though my ex said I was more of a cross between Kate, and Margot Kidder when she was young, in the superman movies. personally, I'd say I'm more of a cross between Patty Hearst and Geddy Lee (Rush singer).

My husband likes Maryann better than Ginger, too. He's the smartest man I know. :)

Mary Ann had Brainz?
I dunno but she had hots galore.

I dunno, but she was very obviously a lot smarter than Ginger... or Gilligan, for that matter. Maybe the captain too, and definitely both of the Howells. I'm undecided about the Professor; he could make a radio out of a coconut, but couldn't fix a boat? They shoulda let Maryann at it.

The professor totally could have made a boat but that would have cancelled his deal with the TV execs and he woulda lost millions!:giggle:

(Mary-Ann was the hottest! :D)

She was a LOT hotter than Ginger too.
Heck Mrs Howell was hotter than ginger.
I was going to make a snide comment about her age, then I remembered that I used to watch Who's the Boss just because I had the hots for Mona (Katherine Helmond) who at the time was apparently in her 50's, while I was somewhere around 14. Yeah, most guys my age would have been more interested in Alyssa, I guess I am strange.
