Well, fifteen years ought to suit for us. Hoping to have caught ourselves up and be in the process if not moved into our own place by then at the very least. *sigh* I recall growing up how we thought by twenty five you would be married, in a full time career that paid well, own your own home. Recently, watched an interesting movie that was allegedly stating a good bit of that dangerous Truth stuff.
The movie was called 13 Hours. It was about the Benghazi incident. In it one of the guys makes a statement. "Yeah, I used to be young and dumb once. I believed in being part of something larger. We're here now and the something larger ain't here no more." Guess this kind of fits with George Carlin's notion of the American Dream, if you're awake you see that a dream is all it will ever be, shattered at that.
On a lighter and more of an upbeat tone, I got a little vape mail today.
I am trying the first bit of Mushi organic cotton for a wick. Am compelled to say that so far, I'm impressed, more so than I thought for to start out. It seems to make my vape taste like cotton candy in an odd but pleasantly surprising way.
Not going so far to say I quit the church of Rayon, though we'll see. * chuckles * Never can tell with me. I'm never in my right mind, or left one despite indeed being left a lot.
ETA: Alright. Something to be said when wick can visibly be seen to draw juice up. I also think heard the Mushi cotton going "sluuurp". Trying a different flavor juice and finding the cotton doing well using it, too. It is not the same cotton candy taste but the juice is not tainted either by the cotton. The other juice with being a bit menthol might have taken the spun sugar taste.
Also, I am getting a new as in brand spanking new out of the box motherboard.
I'll also get 4 GB of new RAM. This is first actual "new" bits of a computer I've bought in like 10-15 years. *chuckles* Built a Frankenstein then for around $400 - $600, custom to suit going to Linux, not really super high end but rough n tough enough to do me about ten years. The hardware went out before the software. Had to then go rummage through dumpsters, "hey bud got parts", "so and so had this, not sure it works but .." in order to get the beast running again.
Wife finally told me this evening, "you need a "new" computer." She's thinking the recent bought of 'troubles' I'm bashing my noggin against is a memory leak RAM, or even ROM. In either case she does not want me insanely recalling assembler & going into a psychotic fit to 'fix' said memory leak. She is sadistic for sure but apparently also values her life.
