Man, got stoned last night and missed the fire! Hope you and your family is ok Bob. Hope the kitties are ok too! With luck you have decent insurance and everything is covered. After a few months of therapy the mental anguish from having all those people on your lawn should be ok :D

Cooked Rascal and me some eggs this morning. Of course he was a pig and wolfed his down and then wanted mine too :giggle: Now time for some serious fuckin off :p

Not really better at all, Atcha, or so slightly that it's completely imperceptible. I still have to sit down and "assume the asthma-attack position" just to walk to another room in the house. My ribs and whole torso, front and back, feel like someone's been tuning them up with a baseball bat for a few days, from all the damn coughing. Had a big nosebleed a minute ago; I guess there's only so much blowing the mucosa can tolerate before staging a protest, even with lotion-tissue. Don't seem to have any fever, or much anyway, but I'll have to check that again tonight to see for sure. Didn't sleep fer shit last night, I was so much pain in my torso, so I'm about to head for a nap. I'm laying off meat while the diarrhea is going on, but trying to eat a good bit of cheese, which is both a substitute protein, and might help plug me up.

I did try a bit of vaping; the good news is, it still tastes fine to me, I haven't lost my taste for it in 2 1/2 days of zero vaping, but the bad news is that I can take only TINY little mouth-puffs; if it goes even a millimeter into my throat, it triggers the godawful coughing, and hell, I can do that just fine on my own without vaping... so I'll continue abstaining until my lungs can handle it. This being the case, I'm having a real hard time with that other stuff, that helps me sleep, so it might be time to get some CBD oil and give it a try. But I'm more grateful than ever for vaping, since abstaining was never a possibility when I smoked. The great things about vaping just continue adding up.

Cromwell, my husband and I both send our condolences and hugs about your workshop, and also our gratitude that you and your wife and your home are ok. And also, our concern about those kitties -- can you tell yet, if they're ok?

Most all out troubles are lesser than someone else's somewhere.

Well you can always find someone worse off but still

I would feel devastated if I lost my sanctuary, a lifetime collection of tools and cat house

I am sure they are just frightened and will be back. We have to think positive about this. I'm sure they are fine. And not only will you rebuild.... it will be better than ever! Andria I'm really sorry you're going through all of that. I was diagnosed with asthma too. And it sucks wang. I did behave at the movies today. But then I started feeling really bad and drove straight home and jumped in bed and didn't wake up until an hour ago. I'm hoping it's just some sort of Cedar fever and not the flu. Or maybe dance fever from last night. LOL.

Oh yes. And one more thing. You are a hero Cromwell for saving that house. Focus on that. And in 2 days the rest of the kitties will come home.

There is a "nest" of vultures nearby so I wanted to get some footage. Unfortunately they were frightened and almost hit the drone. And the only way I could clip the movie was by playing it and then taking a video of the computer screen. Embarrassing, but cool. Hundreds of them!

I'm so shitty with cell phones my loving daughter once threatened to buy me a Jitterbug, lol

Oh noes, your not that bad! My mom has a Jitterbug phone and after many repeated tries was finally able to teach her how to answer and make a call.

Good morning fugees  Make sure to GFY.
Rainy Super Bowl Sunday going on here. Oh well...I'll be inside most of the day anyway. I do have to take the trash out later but I won't melt. If it rains a lot I may float. :coffee2: and :cloud: going on as I type. I hope everyone has a good day! :)

Mornin fugee's and GFY!

No Super Bowl for me. Probably will be a good game but when teams started kneeling, I started turning the TV to another channel. First year in many of years that I pretty much skipped watching the whole season.

Sitting here on my couch with my laptop in front of me on an end table and a big boy sound asleep next to me with his big ass glued to my thigh. Life is good :D

All that kneeling didn't go over well here either being a military town. And with all of our Disabled Vets. I think they thought it was a slap in the face.

The only games I've watched this year were the playoffs, the divisional ones and now this one. There's no way I can give up football in its entirety.

There is a ton of youtube videos where older guys are standing by a fire and are burning all their NFL memorabilia. They say the NFL lost close to a billion $$$ from the protest yet NBC and CNN claims they didnt lose anything and its all Trumps fault. :blech:

Things change. I am sure some resisted when the Bellamy salute was dropped from the Pledge of Allegiance procedure.
Several changes to the Pledge over the years.
http://americanflagfoundation.org/w...cial-versions-of-the-Pledge-of-Allegiance.pdf

And to the proper way to show reverence.

Not taking a stand either way but just pointing out history.

YEah, America has tried to forget that salute that was indeed later co-opted by extreme tyranny

Many also forget that the Minister who created the Pledge did not include "under God"

I remember hearing that "under god" was added to the anthem and to money back around the 50's.

I seen people sit during the anthem before and it was never a big deal to me. My mom who is a witness wont stand for it but its not out of disrespect to the nation. Her allegiance is to God not man she says and I have to respect her beliefs. Those who kneel, it is their right to kneel if they so chose just like it is my right to boycott the whole thing if I chose :)
