The best way to describe a fad is that it is ‘short lived’. The typical life-span of a fad is at most a season but sometimes they don’t last even for a month. Fads catch the eye of huge masses in a very short amount of time due to the ever changing fashion choices driven by innovation. But fads fade away as quickly as they gain popularity amongst masses.
