Just mixed up this one. I find Mango very strong and overpowering. But authentic. I'm going to dilute the flavoring and try at even lower percentages.

Sunrise Smoothie
1.5% FA Banana
1.5% FA Vienna Cream
0.25% FA Peach
0.25% FA White Peach
0.25% FA Papaya
0.25% FA Orange
0.25% FA Mandarin
0.25% FA Mango

@HIC...look familiar?

This looks like my next mix just as soon as I replenish my banana!

Really? I've never had to adjust my MVP. Just my ego, lol. And the ego batt.

Yes, thankfully I did get 3 good coils going. Thanks for the offer Curly. I'll keep that in mind.
Yea I have a few pins (omega and magma) that stick out like crazy. The ego threaded stuff doesn't make very good contact afterwards. But it's not too often I ever even use my mvp, prices on mvp2s have dropped so much it's not worth selling though.

I do! It really does bring it all together though. I think even at .15% or lower it would still have the same effect but be less intrustive. This mix is delicous as it is but to me, just a tad heavy on mango. Crazy at only .25%, I know!!
Sounds perfect to me! I'm all for less flavoring! Flavoring, to me anyway, is the biggest "risk factor" in a liquid. That said there are some custard notes I still love to vape! To me, still better than inhaling combustion byproduct...

OK FA fans - I have a question. Does anyone in the US sell the FA flavors from the kitchen line? I'm actually asking because a friend is both a vaper and a chef and is now incredibly curious about using the FA kitchen flavors in his cooking. Since I don't know where to look I figured I'd ask here.

Which one?! I haven't watched a good scary flick in soo long!
We watched Oculus. Meh.... Curly did you see The Possession (Jeffery Dean Morgan - yum)? Sinister (Ethan Hawke)? Movies really aren't scary anymore. One simply tries to out-gore the next and it's boring. But those two.... pretty darn good! I liked the Possession better. Boyfriend liked Sinister more than I did.

Do you all remember Pee Wee Herman's secret word of the day? We need a secret flavor of the week. And everyone has to attempt one juice with that flavor in it

I love it. That's one way to get creative and a great starting point for anyone feeling mixer's block or just starting out, even.

Got the wife to watch Oculus last weekend and she got pissed at me cause she hated the ending. Saw The Conjuring a couple weeks ago and it was okay, and "based on a true story". Will check out Possession! Thanks for the movie idea!

Well, it's not much and might have been mentioned before by someone else but I have been vaping 4 drops of Apple Pie and 2 Drops of Catalan Cream in 4ml of 3mg VG base for the past couple of days and really enjoying it. I tried a couple of batches of this mix yesteday, one with 1 drop of Irish Cream and one with 1 drop of Jamaican Rum added. They were decent but still preferred the plain Apple Pie plus Catalan Cream. Thinking bout messing with some Vienna Cream, Torrone and/or Custard in the same mix today.

Tried them in a Patriot clone with dual twisted 28 gauge coils at 0.45ohm total and somewhere between 30 and 40 watts depending on my battery level.

Those are all favorites of mine, and I'd vape 'em in any combination. Apple Pie with Custard and Torrone sounds good - lots of bright sweetness to balance the savory crust. mmm!

I am really enjoying Apple Pie. I had a scare the other day, the first day that I had mixed standalone Apple Pie and vaped mostly that for the whole day (loving every vape!). By the evening my throat was raw and sore. It hurt to swallow and was that way for a couple of days. I thought that it might have been something in the Apple Pie affecting my throat since I thought that was the only unknown variable. After a few days break I, hesitantly, tried it again and no sore throat! I suspect it was seasonal allergies causing it. I am quite relieved since I did not want to have to plan around having a sore throat, I definitely wasn't going to give up Apple Pie!

I have had different flavors irritate my throat as well , Especially one I have never vaped before.
Some of them with none of the bad stuff In it.

It usually subsides the next day, or after a switch up day

I'm taking a non-FA blend with me to the concert tonight so no real secret flavor for me either.
Ooh! What concert? Wife and I love to see live shows and recently went to both Steely Dan and Crosby, Stills and Nash!

Saw maybe 5-6 people carrying egos with protanks atop them even though it was anti-tobacco indoor venue.

Regional metal bands - Deadiron, Born Under Burden, Armored Assault and ÅnarchÅtecture and possibly a 5th band that as of yesterday was still unconfirmed. Its at a local auction barn that holds concerts of all types from metal to rock, country & gospel.

That sounds super awesome! We had a decent group of local/regional metal bands back in the late 80s around here but not any more. Really miss those days sometimes. Have a great time!

Horror show was right. Gonna wake up with cold sweats for a few nights after that game. I live in Central Ohio, hardcore Bucks fan here as well.

I've seen the possession, it was alright, better than I expected. Haven't seen sinister. I've only seen one horror movie that made me actually scared, as a kid, it was the original fright night. That flick gave me nightmares for years! But yeah I agree, I actually feel like they ran out of anything original....

Loved the original Fright Night. With Marcy Darcy from Married with Children!

Smoka, there are two very different recipes there; be sure to get the right one for your preferences. The one for Emilie is sweeter with mild lemon; the other one (also here) is a zippier version.

Thanks, HIC! Yes, I saw both and plugged 'em in my calculator. I'm going to try Emilie's first, since I'm missing ONE flavor for the zippier version (the lime) I love Lemon Sicily!

Had a blast. The venue is just a little old auction barn in the middle of nowhere. First time seeing any of the bands live. But the best part is the bass player of the main band is a vaper, and the venue allowed vaping inside. Myself, my boyfriend and the aforementioned bass player were it for vapers, small crowd but a lot of fun. I'll go put up a thread with the bands in the general posts area.

Adventures in newb (and apparently taste dead) land, I am still having a hard time tasting a lot of these FA fruits. The tobaccos, coffees, nuts I'm there with you all. 1-2% even half a percent I'm getting strong flavor easy to identify, right inline with what I have read but some of these fruits I just don't get it. For example, in a mix with some other fruit I was getting great flavor from the white peach. So today I figured I wanted a straight peach and started out at 3%, nothin' 4,5,6,7,8% finally I'm getting a flavor I like. They all smelled like nice peach but I could barely taste it. Even at 8% its not in your face peach like i've had even from Mt. Baker and not getting much sweetness at all. A couple of drops of EM and a drop of sweetener and I have something I think I am happy with but sheesh. I must have killed my taste buds good at some point. The lemon Sicily seems to come through to me at low percentages for some reason but the creams and custard are hard for me to taste as well. Honey seems to come through strong but marshmallow, I get almost nothing. Maybe I just fried a certain range of taste buds I don't know.

Just for some moral support, ... I'm in the same boat as you.
56 years of smoking did it for me.
You also have to remember that although we (with funky taste buds), can't taste the more subtle flavors, and a few of the others, they are still noticeable when used in a recipe. Other than "sweet", marshmallows don't have much flavor to start with.
Most of the creams really don't have a flavor to me other than I'd say "rich', but they do make a recipe creamy and smooth while blending the flavors.
It's the penalty we pay I guess.
I can't find a coconut, cheesecake, or waffle I can taste, and I've been through a lot of company's.
I finally found a caramel, and then I found bilberry which takes the place of blueberry, but it's a "hunt and seek" game I have to play.
The same flavor by different company's vary a great deal, and you just have to keep trying.
There is no "ONE" place to buy all the flavors that taste the best.
FA does a better job than most, but I also found some flavors were "better" (according to my taste buds) from other company's.
So hang onto the ones that are yummy, and try some other company's for the flavors that don't cut it.
As for the "peach", your recipe ingredients may have brought out the best of the peach, and without those, it was blah to you.
Everyone is different, and just because everyone else raves about a flavor, and you can't taste it, doesn't mean you can't find one somewhere else
I hate it when the aroma sets off the saliva glands, and then the taste buds let you down.
Hang in there, you'll find enough to keep you happy.

Yup, same here, which is a shame, because Strawberry is my favorite flavor. I just have a hard time tasting it. :(

Like you, RyGon, Lemon Sicily comes straight through (it's possibly a little strong in HIC's LMP), but sweets...foggetaboudit.

For me, it's probably a combination of smoking for 25 years, having a sweet tooth (so it takes more to taste it), and being diabetic.

I think next time I mix my Strawberries-n-Cream, I'm going to up the strawberries a bit, and use Vienna Cream instead of Fresh Cream.

Same here, but only with the creams and the marshmallow. I can tell what they do to a mix, and they're important, but I can't find myself actually TASTING them. Vienna Cream, for example, TASTES to me more like a smooth, slightly tart, airy kind of flavor, but nothing like the slightly vanilla cream like HIC tastes.

Thanks guys. Its not the end of the world, plenty of the flavors work for me and like slots said I can still taste them in a recipe. Maybe we are discovering that some just have super tasting powers rather than ours are sub-human, lol. Like maybe I'm in the 55th percentile but HIC is in the 98th. 8% isn't all that much really outside of FA flavors. I have never had problems being critical about the flavors in food, wine, ale, cigars etc. If I can't taste a few artificial flavors, I'm not beating myself up over it.

I haven't found any flavors by any manufacturer that I can't taste, so I can't imagine what that's like. I don't think I'm any kind of super-taster though. I smoked most of 30 years, which surely took a toll. My sense of smell is not the keenest, nothing like a healthy 20-something-year-old, and I tend to season food (with everything but salt) pretty heavily. Super hot cinnamon, strong anise, and straight eucalyptus are still my fall-back vape flavors, but that's boring, so I seldom write about it.

That's the thing...I can't really do spicy like I could when I was smoking a little over four months ago. Even most frozen pizzas burn my tongue now!

If you've ever had Hoofmints from Caribou Coffee, well, most people need to spit them out. I used to chew on them like candy. I'm curious to see what I can handle with those now!

I'm thinking my sweets taster is off somehow because of my diabetes, to be honest, and because of that, I'm thinking those that can't taste the sweet flavors might wanna get checked. :(

I can say that after sitting over night the peach is stronger and gaining a bit of what I think might be an over flavored taste. I don't think I have had my blood tested in the last year but my sugars have never been out of the normal range. EM and sucralose sweetener come through as sweet, honey is sweet and chocolate is a little sweet. Some of the tobacco's seem very sweet. Its really the actual flavor that seems very muted to me on a few of the fruits and creams. I think its just a combination of a lot of things that is getting me. Max VG requires more patience than I have been giving it. 8 minutes in a hot ultrasonic just isn't enough for max vg and I am comparing them to commercial juices that I think must be very high flavoring percentages. I am thirsty this morning. Maybe I didn't drink enough water last night. We were at a renaissance festival all day yesterday.

Oooh, (I googled) those look good! I'll have to look around for those. I eat the all flavors of tiny Altoids 'curiously strong' candies by the handful. Jolly Rancher 'Fire' sticks were my constant companion before I switched to mostly sugar-free candies. Such a flavor freak I am.
