40 some years ago I was offered a job transfer to southern CA.
Ontario to be precise.
I was flown out for an interview, offered the job at more than twice the pay I was getting in KY.
I took a couple of days off to look around there and decided it would take 4X my KY pay to break even there with the lifestyle I had in Ky in terms of house, etc.
