Obama did three things in 8 years I consider achievements. The Iran deal, the Cuba deal and reforming ********* laws. That’s pretty sad for 8 years considering two of those things are so old and arbitrary it made no sense to continue. The bar is set pretty low for ol’ Donny boy.

Really? There are some rather stark differences. Trump isn't perfect but he's no Obama.

I don't know what you mean about Obama reforming xxxx laws. No Federal laws were changed. It's as illegal now as it ever was. A few States reformed their laws but Obama didn't reform anything.

The Democrats sent a very political and long response memo which they knew, because of sources and methods (and more), would have to be heavily redacted, whereupon they would blame the White House for lack of transparency. Told them to re-do and send back in proper form!

The DOJ issued a memo to the DEA not to go after states for medical and recreational sales. Otherwise CO and Washington State wouldn’t be able to do what they are doing. No we Jeff Sessions says he’s going to change that. The memo was the first step in the right direction we’ve seen. I would think that trump being a businessman would reign in the little troll sessions and not upset commerce.

Like everyone says, trump has not been in office very long but I’m not optimistic. Especially since it seems he’s hell bent on nuclear war with Korea

Republicans want to fix DACA far more than the Democrats do. The Dems had all three branches of government back in 2008-2011, and they decided not to do anything about DACA. They only want to use it as a campaign issue. Vote Republican!

Yep. Like he did with immigration, Obama directed the agency to not enforce the law. That is not reform. It's not enforcing the law. Reform requires that the law be changed. I don't know how you can consider not enforcing the law as a reform or an accomplishment.

Whether you like it or not, Sessions wants to do his job and enforce the law. If Obama had actually had an accomplishment, it would be legal and Sessions would have no law to enforce as part of his job.

I know it's a popular thing to claim that Trump creates division. But the truth is, Obama created most of the division by not enforcing the laws he could not change. You can't willy nilly decide what laws to enforce and not enforce. It's called the Executive branch. Executive is derived from the word Execute.

Executive is also an adjective that describes having the power to make decisions. Obama's elected job is to carry out the duties of the constitution and congress. The President does not make or remove laws. The President executes the laws. Obama was derelict and not accomplished in his duty to enforce xxxx laws.

An accomplishment would have been to rescind the laws. Failing to execute the laws is dereliction. :)

The context is the claim that Obama accomplished changes in xxxx laws. But there are no Federal changes in xxxx laws, thus there can be no accomplishment.

First there has to be an accomplishment before one can be credited for it. Whether one wants to credit Congress or give some credit to the Pres is moot until there is an actual accomplishment.

Typical of Obama and his administration. Rather than working to get Congress to change a law they didn't like, they just unilaterally decided not to enforce it via an executive policy or order. DACA is another example of this. The so-called "Dreamers" have been illegal all along, just as the "Dispensaries" in various states are.

Don't get me wrong, I think xxxx should be legal, but a President and his administration simply does not have the authority to simply ignore the law.

I’m not defending him but alott of people lost in Atlantic City . I do alott of work there and it’s a place of its own normal rules do not apply .

He was the only choice , not who I wanted but the only choice .
