I made single coil between post and it's amazing but only thing I don't like is flavor control, you can move very easily even with one figure touch

The juice control and air control on my Lite are easy too turn compared to the Supreme too easy wish it was like the Supreme.
Specially air control is damn easy that my figure just touched and it's close, I was a bit shocked what happened why no air
Thanks God I didn't buy more

Build an SS316L 2.5mm 7wrap and used Steve SS316 profile and had a very weak vape. Think it's 50w 500F.Keep show 'temp protected' or something about temp on the screen.

On a bright side same coil on power mode 20w was delicious. Found my new settings/coil for power.

Where to begin?

I made it an all day event. I started off by cancelling the Black Supreme Lite from GB because they changed the shipping date to Aug 22-28 from ships the next day.

Then I re-ordered it from FT along with some Jade and Turquoise double o-ring drip tips that are really nice and highly rated (Vapesoon and VIP - all in stock)

Second order was for some SS316L Clapton and Alien wire I've had on my Wishlist along with the other drip tips from the two series that weren't in stock.

Then things got serious. My third order was for the Therion with Red/Brown leather. FT had it for just under $88 shipped with the 10% code.

Finally just before 1AM Central (the cutoff of the sale), I placed my fourth and final order. I started thinking the Therion is 24mm wide and my 7ml Supremes would overhang. Since the frame is Silver I ordered the Lite in SS for the Therion. At $25 and change shipped, I just couldn't pass it up.

Their was a method to my madness. I had a lot of things on my Wishlist (Drip tips and wire) that I was waiting for a sale to buy. I've been looking at the Therion for quite awhile coupled with @Infinite1 telling me how nice it is and @BoostAddict getting into the act as well (The real enablers :p:giggle:). I broke things up by the expected ship dates keeping in mind I wanted the orders to be at least $20 to qualify for the free USPS E-Packet shipping upgrade.

When FT has a 10% off store-wide sale, my best bet is for my internet to go down :p:D:teehee::giggle:

PS With the Coupon Code and a little FT store credit/PP credit, the grand total out of pocket was a touch less than $150. That's a lot of gear for the money (7 nice drip tips, 2 Supreme Lites, 4 rolls of Clapton/Alien SS316L wire, a Therion, and a Partridge in a Pear Tree :D

Cheers,
Steve

I'm using some SS316L Clapton wire (28,36) with the updated profile and the updated firmware atm with great results (420F, 35 watts, with 70 watts preheat). What brand of SS are you using? Have you updated the firmware? What atty are you using? It sounds like it's limiting out to quick. Not all SS is created equally since it's an alloy. Just a little change in the formula can throw the TCR off.

Cheers,
Steve

Hi Steve ...it's an unbranded SS316L. I'll try to read more on TC and play around with the settings.its on the updated firmware from an August date

Since it sounds like it's limiting out to quick, a simple thing to try would be to switch to the SS304 profile - that has a slightly higher TCR than 316L. Even higher would be SS430. Just something to try if the resistance doesn't refine slightly higher (+ or - 1 or 2 1/100's of an ohm can be the difference between a great vape, weak vape, or too hot of a vape). If the coil(s) are brand new, sometimes they will refine to a slightly different resistance when the mod is at rest.

Cheers,
Steve

Oh Steve. No rationale required Sir...but whatever prevents you from sleeping in a shed :) lol.

Great purchases indeed. FWIW, there is no overhang with the 7ml Supreme... But that should not stop ya from getting the lite :)

Congrats!

Really? They posted the dimensions as 24mm thick/deep. I figured with the Supreme being 25mm there would be a slight overhang on both sides (.5mm). I may have to cancel the SS Lite then. I wanted to try one (Black for the Lavabox 75) to make sure I like them before ordering more. That's why I was going back and forth.

Steve

Not sure if everybody has seen this, but wanted to post it here also:D

http://vaping.org/press-release/house-committee-votes-to-save-the-vaping-industry/

It's really encouraging it was both bipartisan and passed by so much. Hopefully it's a harbinger of things to come. One hurdle down on the way to toppling the entire FDA house of cards... I wonder what the docket situation is for the many lawsuits pending, and especially the big one brought by various trade and advocacy groups. Don't have time at the mo' but am going to look into that. Want to know if they are being heard anytime soon.

.Yep amended my post. Looking for the breakdown of the vote and I can't seem to find it.

End of first paragraph... "The bipartisan amendment by Rep. Tom Cole (R – OK) and Rep. Sanford Bishop (D – GA) passed by a 31-19 vote."

If its this event we are talking about then to call the vote bipartisan is disingenuous at best. Here's the article I originally sited but since it was from April I amended it because I thought we were talking about breaking news. Read the article and come to your own conclusion but having just 2 votes from the other side is really not bipartisan. Vote was bipartisan in name only at best.

Why does that make it less a victory? Was it reversed in the meantime?

That was the committee vote to move it forward to where it is currently residing, awaiting a floor vote chance. It was a victory, but doesn't change anything until voted in.

It was only a House committee, it was in April, it has zero effect on current regulations that are in effect today. Witness the ecig (and others) new age verification.

So, for this to actually do anything, it has to survive the horse trading that the bill will face in the House, then be in a companion Senate bill, be signed into law by the President.

Let's be optimistic and say it passes the House. The Senate has to have the same language, if not, then the reconciliation process has to have this in it.

For me, a 31-19 committee vote doesn't say the amendment will even survive the House, much less the Senate.

But let's keep our fingers crossed. At least we can keep our current vaping gear alive with this, though the other provisions are still going to be there and innovation will likely come to a halt.

“Modernizing the predicate date will not interfere with the FDA’s ability to regulate vapor products. All this change does is force the agency to regulate the vapor products rather than just ban 99%-plus of products on the market today,” continued Conley.

In addition to changing the predicate date, the Cole-Bishop amendment directs the FDA to set product standards, dictate labeling requirements, require retailer registration to effectuate youth access compliance checks, and ban self-service displays and vending machines in stores that permit minors. Furthermore, the amendment restricts the advertising of vapor products.

I am more optimistic than you are with a 31-19 vote that the attitude in general might be positive moving forward. Maybe from watching one MC helmet repeal bill after another creep through committees, winning by a vote of 1... only to be stomped on at the very end. Starting off with 31-19 is reason enough for me to be happy. It passed. And it passed by a substantial amount. Take from that what you will, but AFAIC it's something.

As for the rest, yes we know it's a long road ahead... unless the regs get thrown out in court as unconstitutional (via the lawsuits), which is what I am counting on. These other things are just chipping away. Doesn't hurt to come at it from all sides though.

I see your point certainly. But I'll take it. And the bill was sponsored by a Dem and Rep. Technically it was bipartisan. Something we need a lot more of.
No doubt we need a lot more bipartisanship but out of the 19 votes of nay I believe 18 were Democrats. Glean from that what you will but the facts are the facts. Out of the 31 yay votes 29 were Republicans, again take from it what you will. So it seems to me that we need a lot more work on the other side. Let me be clear again before I get accused of taking this off topic, divine gnostic knowledge, special clairvoyance, or telling people how to vote. These are my opinions I have formed from looking at the information available. I in no way claim to be telling anyone how to vote, who to vote for, or what to vote. I also did not start this derailment. Everyone just calm down and stay in your safe spaces.
