Just made my first of HIC's mixes "Quickberry Pink" and I can't put it down. Just as described and just as I remember. I like this so much I am tempted to kick up the overall flavor a notch. I may try increasing each ingredient by 25%.

I became a fan of HIC before I purchased a single recipe. The amount of knowledge he shares is priceless. I've purchased most of his current ones and just reading his notes on what the flavors do to each other is stuff I may never have figured out on my own. I can't wait to start using what I learn from him to start creating some of my own creations.

Thanks again HIC for being such a great asset to the Vaping community.

:) thank you, Varista!

New today at HIC's Mixes : Kaktus Collection
p Kaktus Collection2 200.jpg
"Set of 6 easy recipes to enjoy while learning the special properties of Inawera's Kaktus flavor. Kaktus can work as sweet cream, a tartness enhancer, sweetener, prickly pear flavor of course - and it can modify other flavors for an occasional surprise. Recipes include Desert Julius, Hawaiian Kaktus, Kaktus Melons, and more. These recipes all use FlavourArt flavorings and Inawera Kaktus; one recipe requires TFA Cinnamon Red Hot."

Sometimes a company besides FlavourArt makes a flavor so fabulous, everyone needs it - like Inawera's Kaktus flavor! There's nothing else just like it. If you like dragonfruit, you'll love Kaktus. Fans of kiwi, lychee and similar flavors will also enjoy it. Everyone who tries it seems to like it, even as a standalone flavor, but there are few recipes available that use it.

I decided to take a different approach with Kaktus and made a set of recipes. Each one illustrates a different aspect of the flavoring, so you learn the potential of the flavoring for your own recipes, too.

If you haven't tried my public recipes that use Kaktus, here are those links:

So lush! If you like Andes mints, skip straight to the Andes Cheesecake version - and make it a big batch! :D

Want a peek into what's coming next? Here are two of my current projects that are producing encouraging results:

shortbread and creme sandwich cookies (think Oreo, Dare, Hydrox, Vienna Fingers): The shortbread cookie part of this is so impressive, I’ve been combining it with all of Oreo’s “limited edition” filling flavors. So far, lemon-creme sandwich cookie is a clear winner, so watch for that one very soon. I didn’t like real watermelon Oreos, but of course I had to try a vape version. Uhmmm, we’ll forget about that one. Would you believe Caramel Apple Oreos were a thing? Speaking of caramel...

dulce de leche: This might be the sweetest all-FA recipe I’ve ever vaped - and so buttery-rich. I’m excited by the prospect of an all-FA replacement for those tasty (but loaded with diacetyl/subs) flavors by TFA and FW. I don’t have a straight dulce de leche to offer yet, but this “dulce effect” can be found now in my Hazelnut Pralines n Cream recipe - available at my store.

Those two projects are leading to numerous ideas and offshoots. With luck, a few will develop into tasty new recipes. With certainty, a few others will give me some funny stories to tell...
Can't wait for this HIC...I make the real version by heating a can of sweetened condensed milk in boiling water for 3 hrs, dump it in a graham cracker pie crust and cover with whipped cream and dark chocolate shavings. I've been thinking of making a vape after that so can't wait to see what you come up with!

Ready for summery vapes?
New today on HIC's Mixes : Long Island Iced Tea

View attachment 17733

"Just like the cocktail, these alcohol and citrus flavors combine to taste a lot like sweet iced tea. This is a crisp, refreshing, summery vape! Suggestions are included for fruity variations, along with tips for further customization."

FA's alcohol and citrus flavors are so accurate, you get the same flavor illusion as with the real cocktail. There's no tea here, but you'll taste it anyway - cool flavor trick! Try the basic recipe first, but don't forget to try some fruity variations, too. Some of you fruit fans are bound to come up with variations of your own - it's an easily customized recipe.
Mixed this yesterday and tried it first thing this morning...just like I did when I drank...and I was in heaven. I'm impressed. So now, as the actual drink was, this is my all day vape/drink. If you could only come up with a Crown Royal Reserve on the rocks w/ a twist flavor...my day would be complete.

Great job on this one HIC!

That was a while back, and two recipes came out of that: Dulce de Leche Churros, and Cinnamon Dolce Latte. They've both been at my store, but they haven't been listed lately. Most of my rich "winter" flavors and coffees are currently replaced with summery light flavors. I just put those two back on, since you mentioned them (they're at the bottom of the listings).

Vaping Jamoca Almond Fudge right now, my first HIC's mix, and can't believe I made this! Thank you so much, HIC!
I didn't have almond or any of the asterisked stuff, so used nut mix and left out the stuff I didn't have, but still tastes oh so good! Can't wait to try it with all the proper flavors.

Had to vape at 20watts in a dripper to get great flavor but then it was awesome. May try higher watts on the ones I don't like so much.

I never order from them unless absolutely no one else has what I'm looking for. Their ship time is horrible, I can get stuff from China faster....

I hear that from time to time with Eliquid Mart, but I've had pretty good luck with them. No, they're not the fastest, but I've not had issue with the orders I've gotten from them. All 2 of them, LOL!!

I'll guess 6-10 orders here, and never a problem - but I know not everyone has been so fortunate.

I have also been having trouble with them. I have 2 orders with them that haven't been "awaiting fulfillment" since 5/6. I sent 3 emails asking why my orders haven't shipped and on 5/19 a got a rather un-friendly email from Cindy saying that on May 14 we contacted you to let you know 2 of the flavors were out of stock and will be in available Wednesday. This message was sent to...an email I don't recognize"

That was all she said, without answering my question as to when it would ship. Made me feel like I was at fault for not paying attention to an email they sent to the wrong person. I still haven't received either order. Will be canceling it if not here today.

Wow, that is completely unacceptable service. FA has gotten popular and I can understand vendors going out of stock on certain flavor (always the ones I need most, of course), but they shouldn't let you order it if they have none. That's just the first misstep in this chain of events. How frustrating!

I know these two have kept their service great and their shipping fast (plus they're easy to contact):
http://mamajsflavorshop.com/flavourart/
http://www.bullcityvapor.com/brands/FlavourArt.html

But I've either heard multiple service problems or experienced them myself with all the other big US sellers of FA that I can think of. Like we all have to, if I gotta have something that's out of stock where I want to buy it, I cross my fingers and order from whatever place has it.

Thanks HIC...I have 27 flavors sitting in "awaiting shipment" with them...think I'll cancel it and go elsewhere.

That's certainly a lot of money for them to lose on a sale with that order, you'd think they'd at least try to be a bit more efficient. Just my opinion.....[/QUOTE]

HIC's Toucan Cereal has returned!

If you previously purchased HIC's Toucan Cereal recipe, you were emailed a free link to the updated file today (assuming you did not receive a refund or opt out of updates).

My Toucan Cereal recipe now includes an alternative to using that caramel-tasting FA Meringue that all vendors I tried (over the past couple weeks) currently have in stock. The alternative tastes just as great as using FA's older white-sugar-tasting Meringue. If you're a lucky one with a bottle that lacks that caramel flavor, the recipe using Meringue is still included for you.

Hi HIC, I purchased the Churro recipe last night and it also uses the Meringue flavor. Will it still work in this recipe? I need to purchase most of the flavors but I don't want to order Meringue if you are going to change the recipe.

Thanks.

Yes, it's fine with Churros and any other recipe that'll ever be at my store that calls for Meringue. Churros works fine with the caramel-y Meringue because it's a caramel type recipe and has spice flavors. The extra caramel from Meringue just blends right in and makes it richer. There's a little note near the end of the recipe that tells you how to make it more buttery if you want. With the recent Meringue flavor, you probably won't need to!

The only time this current Meringue will give you grief is in recipes with mostly fruit flavor (that isn't actually a fruit-meringue pie), especially when there's lots of Meringue. The only recipe on my store that needed to change was Toucan Cereal. I haven't spotted any of my public ones that'll need changes, but I haven't scoured though all of those yet.

I think I figured out the trick to get eliquid mart to ship your order. I emailed them this morning asking to cancel any of my orders that hasn't shipped and to confirm ASAP so I can get my order in with another vendor. I checked my order status 2 hrs later and they were both marked shipped with tracking numbers sent to me. I don't think they like the refund button.

Hey! I mixed up the original batch. Wow, darn fine job! I do detect a bit of caramel note, but it is still divine. I didn't think I would, but I did. I know they say they didn't change meringue, but I never got that caramel taste with my previous bottle mixing up your own lemon meringue pie. Something has changed somehow. I totally agree with you 100%. How odd.

I also mixed up some key lime ice cream. You must have been thinking of me and my love of tartness! I swear to you I did not think anyone would make a mix to my level of tartness. Very much appreciated! Thank you for the recipes! :)

Yeah, I just had to find a way around that broiled caramel, which has no place in Loops. Others also say it's fine with newer Meringue, but not to me. The new flavor subs are at least as good as the original Meringue, and much better than the new stuff. If you knew how many attempts it took to figure that out, you'd say I'm outta my mind. But now I love Toucan again! (I personally think one of FA's suppliers caused the problem; if FA uses the same formula as always, one of their ingredients must taste different.)

Im actually new to diy. I also dont have knowledge about diy before. I just take a reference this forum and you tube. Theorically, it look easy when I just put all the data on the ejuice calculator.

Your recipes got alot of good review here, so I decide to have a try. Hopefully you can guide me untill I can create my own recipes.

What thecnique do u use when create one recipes? I just purchase 9 of your recipes and find out that your recipes have alot of flavor combination in it! That look really hard to do.

So if triacetin isn't an inhalation hazard... I might start guiltlessly using TPA whipped cream at low %. I know it's a tank cracker... Wonder what the triacetin % is compared to TPA smooth.

Start with that ejuice calculator you like and try one of the simpler recipes. If you run into any trouble, you can always send me a PM here (click my avatar on the left and choose "start a conversation"). I'm happy to help. The DIY forum here is full of really helpful people, and I know some use that same calculator.

I don't use calculators or scales. I usually make small batches like this. I use droppers that produce 33 drops/ml. Then 1 drop of flavoring in 6ml base = 0.5%, or 1 drop in 12ml base = 0.25%, etc. That keeps it easy for me.

For my favorite recipes, especially if they're complicated, I mix a bottle of just the flavorings, so I can easily make bottles of juice later without getting out all my flavorings to mix again. Like this: http://vapingunderground.com/threads/how-to-mix-small-batches-of-complex-recipes.1980/ .

New today at HIC's Mixes : Rabbit Cereal
p Rabbit Cereal 200.jpg
"As fruity-cereal fans know, the Rabbit craves different flavors than the Toucan. This recipe is a flavor-match to the Rabbit's favorite cereal, right out of the box. This recipe uses FlavourArt flavorings plus one from The Flavor Apprentice."

I am amazed FA flavorings can so perfectly match the flavors of junk food wholesome breakfast cereal. Until I refreshed my memory with a box of Trix, I didn't realize it's so different from Froot Loops. For total Rabbit bliss, vape this while muching from a box of Trix. You will not find a more accurate flavor match anywhere.
