Not to diminish what Joe Montana, Tom Brady, Brett Favre, Terry Bradshaw, Bart Star, Johnny Unitas.....etc have done. If I was starting a team today and could pick any Quarterback in his prime it would be John Elway if you just judge them by themselves, not by the team around them. Imagine if John Elway was the quarterback of the SF 49whiners with Jerry Rice and all the other hall of famers, can you name 5 players from the teams Elway took to the Super Bowl when they lost? he took those teams on his back. As a pure quarterback he is hard to beat, Tom Brady is a hall of famer no doubt but as the Giants defensive line proved he is pedestrian without a clean pocket to throw from.
Cmon man, you know better than that. I put Johnny Unitas and Joe Montana ahead of Elway. Montana edging out Unitas as the G.O.A.T. If it wasn't for the cheating I would have Brady ahead of him to. God as a Jet fan it hurts to say that. Don't forget there are plenty of great talented Qb's that never won a SB.

I would be good with a coin flip between Elway and Montana, I hate those bay area scum bags but have to give respect to Montana, as much as I hate it. Didn't really have a chance to see Johnny U so I plead the 5th....lol. I have respect for Brady but when the pocket breaks down who would you rather have in his prime, Brady or Elway?

My opinion is it's impossible to compare guys from different era's. The players are more athletic but the rules have also kept changing to put defenses at a disadvantage (scoring drives ratings - at least that's what the powers in charge believe). Also with all the rules put in to protect the QB, might as well just put a skirt on him and say your not allowed to touch him.
I follow the Lions and Stafford puts up a lot of stats. I think for the most part they are meaningless. To me the only real stat that matters for a QB is can he find a way to win when the games on the line. Garbage time stats are irrelevant. Just my 2 cents.

this^ CBs used to be able to beat up WRs, not they can't breathe on them without a flag. Also teams were much more run oriented then pass where now teams are much more pass oriented. When namath threw for 4000 yards it was an accomplishment in the 60s, now run of the mill QBs can throw for 1000. The new accomplishment standard is 5000 yards. Before having a 1000 yard WR was rare, now every team usually has at least 1 and a lot have 2 of them. What we don't see anymore is 2k yard RBs that was an accomplishment. 1500 yards was huge as well. Now if you can break 1000 it's rare

I'll tell you a QB that impressed me when I was growing up was Fran Tarkinton (sp). He never won a super bowl, wasn't the biggest guy, nor did he throw the tightest spiral. He played when they didn't protect the QB like they do now. He scrambled all the time. Other than the SB losses, he found a way to win. He always played too. Not saying he was best ever. He just impressed me as a gamer.

Plenty of great QB'S never won a SB. In some ways it's kind of unfair to use that as a measuring stick.

god that was a terrible decision. you have the leading RB in the NFL in the 1st ranked rushing offense. 1st and goal form the 2 to win and what do you do? pass and get picked off by some nobody CB. I pound the ball in 4 times if it's me.

I also just ordered 2 G2's. Price was good enough. I'll sell one if I don't like them. But I'm guessing from the reading I'm gonna be happy. Almost went to ecig and used 20% off, but the refurb code for the 4th still works at Vapor Cube. I did reading and it seems nobody has had issues with the refurbs, and I like that they are taken care of in the USA. I've had numerous refurb iPhones that have all been flawless. I kinda trust refurbs at times more than a new mass produced electronic device.
I am wondering about the warranty. It says it comes with a warranty card and nothing mentions any difference, but Vapor Cube won't accept discount returns I believe. However the Hohmtech site says nothing differentiating the two and it seems they have the 90 day. I'm gonna be pissed if not. I know many have gotten refurbs, before I email Vapor Cube I'm just curious if anyone can answer that.
I love my DNA's but this mod sounds awesome. I have a V1, it's nice. I'm really pumped to try out the kanthal mode. I'm a set it and forget it guy, and sometimes that's not ideal for my DNA's. I gather this will be better in that regard.
Cliff notes: can anyone confirm the refurbs have the same warranty.

You made a great buy. Everyone with a G2 just uses xxx mode. Warranty wise I wouldn't worry about Hohmtech. They've always been nothing but fair with people. They don't even ask for proof of purchase when they do the work. They just fix it. Ben is an awesome dude and runs a great shop.

yeah when i emailed them they said 90 days technically but even up to a year realistically they'll repair it. they stand by their products
@Deucesjack & @SirRichardRear , thanks for the replies. I figured that it was good, but vapor cube isn't clear. They do say go directly to HohmTech, it comes with a warranty card, so I'm sure I'm good. I've never heard of companies selling refurbished electronics with no warranty. Especially without stating it clearly. I just know there are many refurbished owned here, someone will chime in I'm sure.

On my Slice, I haven't yet ventured to use the XXX mode. How would this be different from the Ni mode?
You can vape any material in xxx mode. Drop her in xxx mode. Hold the +- and the mode button down. Go into the FSK Curve menue. Adjust the FSK Curve and vape. Takes a little trial and error but once you get it down its the only mode you'll use. Trust me.

Let me get this straight how you do it ... first set your watts at 151 in Digital watts mode.
1) Click menu button three times and get to Vape Porn. Select xxx
2) Hold the +- menu button and got to Insane menu FSK. Set FSK.
3) return to main menu and set temp and see if FSK needs adjusting
4) Tinker with FSK until you have the perfect vape.
Now I have been going to Vape Porn and selecting Kanthal then going to the second menu and selecting Auto TC then choosing my temp when I return to main screen. It's worked fine. How is xxx better?

Xxx is better because it let's you fine tune your vape as opposed to using the pre set materials in the regular menu. Like I said once you get the hang of it it's all you'll use. In xxx mode you adjust your wattage and temp using the +-. To switch them hit the fire button quickly 3x.

How did you manually install the driver? I am having no luck getting my Win 7 machine to recognize the device when I plug it in.
I just put mine in SS mode and it's working great. Not quite so fiddly since you don't have to mess with the curve. I was able to lower my wattage extending the battery life. I'm using 316l SS Clapton coils and in xxx mode had the curve at 16%. I think I'm doing it right, lol. Whatever the case, it's vaping great!

I run my 316 SS at 12%.I just put mine in SS mode and it's working great. Not quite so fiddly since you don't have to mess with the curve. I was able to lower my wattage extending the battery life. If they have a normal setting for SS316 that either uses a TCR or SS316 curve. Why wouldn't you use that for SS316 TC? Isn't it accurate?

Sure it's accurate but it's preset with its own programming. The FSK Curve allows you to tweak it in tiny increments until you find a customized vape to your liking, much like a DNA but without escribe. I'm not a techie type of guy. Ben actually does a real good job explaining the FSK Curve in one of his videos. I just know I get a better vape in xxx mode. Not saying it doesn't vape well in its pre set mode, it does. I just find the xxx mode more dialed in and satisfying but opinions will vary.

Yup, I personally find myself going back and forth between the 2. The presets for Kathal and SS are rock solid...xxx mode when I really want to dial in a different experience.
That said...I can't believe it but I have just purchased my first and only multiple!!! Most of you folks know that I rarely do multiples with atties and never with mods...well the Red G2 LE over at ecig made a liar out of me.
I snagged it along with a Tornado Nano and a set of brownies for 10 bucks more than I paid for my G2 a couple of months ago from Ecig. That's just $85 shipped!!! No brainier, hard pressed to find a better bang for your buck with the current avail choices in the market.

Awesome idea, I just fired off a quick email suggesting it to Ben. I would even be happy with a sticker of it included in all the G2's so I could have the option of adding it.
Do you have that 20% of code for ecig?
