I finally put a bill on the goon that I've had for a month it was a pain in the ass because of the clamp plates but I finally got it to work and I must say it is a awesome RDA with excellent flavor. I put a set of Clapton fused Clapton at .19 build. Wow

I have to admit that little vaporesso mini kit is a lot of fun. The tank that comes with it is the best ceramic tank I have gotten, wasn't happy with the vaporesso gemini or cov defiant ceramic tanks. Not like it is a cloud chucker but for a stealth kit the flavor is real nice and the tc works great, never a dry hit for me either. If I ever get into a fake space battle it also serves as a photon ray gun....lol.

I'm excited for this. I use some ss430 still, so that's nice. Hopefully It can get Kanthal working better. I am constantly having to change the temp for it to fire, and it will dry hit for me. Not saying it isn't user error, my builds may not be flawless, but Kanthal TC isn't quite there for me. I need to do more experimenting probably. My attys are all pretty stable, all authentic. Don't know. new firmware sounds fun.
I have been having issues with kanthal TC mode too. It zeros out even tho the cotton is good and wet. So I have to switch to watt only mode. I don't have this issue when selecting SS even with kanthal coils still installed.

Just did the upgrade on 1 of my G2, so far so good. Going to wait to do the upgrade on my others just in case.
The music they use on the video on how to upgrade makes me feel like the devil is lurking around the corner. I think they used the soundtrack from The Exorcist. ...lol

Just a reminder, when the upgrade is done and you power the G2 back up it will be in power mode at 171 watts.
Before you do the upgrade you might want to write down your settings. It will go back to the stock settings.

Man, I don't know what they did but the 316 setting is now much smoother. It was fine before but now it's fantastic. I updated one and left one with the old settings. Used the same tank same settings with fresh batteries in both. The updated one is much smoother.

Yeah, I like those as well. Sometimes my OCD flares up though and I got to grab a tissue to wipe the condensation. Real comfortable though and doesn't get hot
The thing I like about the dot mod clone drip tips is they are compression fit, no orings so it is as wide bore as you can get for a 510 dt. With the delrin base it doesn't get hot either.

I went all in and updated both of my G2s. I love the different SS settings. I can confirm the 317 is nice and smooth...went into XXX mode and at this point don't see the need now... I will cont. testing, but so far...looking really good. Nothing beats a simple setting to achieve great results!

The SS316 setting is real smooth, your right. I have my temp at 350, usually never have it that low. Come to think of it I am hoping there is a SS316 coils in the tank I put on there, that's why XXX mode works so well for a forgetful fucker like myself.
Where do you guys have your temp set at in SS mode? I am going to put a pre-built SS316 coil in a tank when I get home, maybe break out the classic Crown and crank dat bitch.
I got dual 316 SS Claptons in my Aromamizer V2 ohming out at .15 in SS mode 90w and 500f with some Yaeliq Vanilla Custard. Fucking beautiful!

This is true...but my day to day vape rarely consists of mixed wire types. Definitely great that we have xxx mode for those occasions, but not as essential now that I have a direct setting for the wires I more often use.Unless you use twisted wire with multiple wire types in it

OK need help from the pros, my G2 is acting stupid, or possibly user error.
while in plain old watt mode, press the top button 3 times, then i select W it flashes i press the top button again 3 times, then highlight Kanthal and press the fire button ( i am using kanthal Clapton coils) when adjust the wattage based off the ohms, and what i like i press the fire button the V area shows 0.0 or 0.9v. BRAND new Samsung 30qs charged and installed...what is going on? Watt mode works great, but i want to use TC...There is a small K next to the ohms. i can also make it show a W not sure how i did that but with the w there it is doing temp fine now i think???

Can't say that I'm a "Pro" but, when you select "Kanthal"...it should display a "k" next to either watts or temp.
To switch watts or temp (display/active control)...press the fire button 3 times rapidly.

This is after the update? Might try rebooting and see if that helps. I just tried mine in Kanthal mode and with the FSK down to 10% it does the same thing, up to 50% and it works fine. Still prefer XXX mode for kanthal though, I already know which #'s work the best for particular tanks and don't want to relearn it.
Even before update it was doing it. And I haven't had an issue with the slice.... No update for that that I know of. There has to be a setting off or something?

Why would you adjust the pre programmed settings for kenthal? I only adjust the fsk when I'm in xxx mode and have no issues. Didn't even know the fsk matters if your not in xxx mode

When I swap tanks with the hohm devices I always press fire to show "connect atomizer" which I believe resets resistance.

Since I never use the Kanthal mode I can't answer that for you, I just know the FSK % is available to adjust on Kanthal, Nichrome, Tungsten and of coarse XXX but is not there with the known TC metals of SS, Ti and Ni. There is a youtube video the guy from Hohm Tech does using the kanthal setting and in that video he adjust FSK, that is the way it works for the non conventional TC metals.
That's the thing, the FSK is the setting that lets you adjust the vape to how you like it. What works for me might not work for you and not all kanthal is the same, claptons, aliens, etc. all make a difference. The FSK is just there to let you tweek the vape to how you like it. It really just takes experience and just think about it in a simple matter, vape not enough and too cold, turn the FSK up, too hot turn FSK down.
