Hi there Jimi,

Sacred plant medicine is moving from indigenous traditions into Western healing practices, but the gap between these two approaches raises essential questions.

In the latest episode of the Gordon Medical Forum podcast, Jason Prall and Dr. Nafysa Parpia delve into what's being lost in translation, including the training, cultural context, and respect for traditions that have guided the safe and effective use of these medicines for generations.
They discuss practical concerns about who should be working with these plants, why intention and preparation matter, and what actually creates lasting change. The conversation explores the prophecy of the Condor and the Eagle, a vision of indigenous and Western cultures learning from one another, and why the real work begins after the ceremony concludes.
Your Bioregulator & Peptide Questions Answered
The replay is now available for Drs. Kent Holtorf and Nafysa Parpia's recent Forum interactive live Q&A session, where they explored peptides and bioregulators as emerging tools in the treatment of complex chronic illness.

With years of experience researching and working with these innovative molecular therapies, Dr. Holtorf and Dr. Parpia answered questions about how peptides and bioregulators are being utilized in treatment approaches for challenging health conditions.

URGENT ACTION ALERT

Stop the Bayer-Monsanto Protection Act on Steroids

IRT%20Brent%20Wisner%20Interviews%2001%20Failure%20To%20Warn_Final_854X480.gif

Go HERE to see the full interviews with Brent Wisner, the lawyer who beat Bayer-Monsanto.
The deception and harms Bayer-Monsanto have perpetrated on Americans for decades should not be rewarded. But that’s precisely what some members of Congress intend to do.
A provision, Section 453, has been added to the Appropriations Bill Fiscal Year 2026 (federal spending bill) that would give Bayer-Monsanto immunity from pesticide-harm lawsuits. And lawmakers intend to add a provision into the delayed Farm Bill that would also give Bayer immunity.
Contact your U.S. legislators today to tell them any attempt to give Bayer a legal shield is unacceptable. We’ve partnered with our friends at GMO/Toxin Free USA to allow you to send a message directly to your legislators.
Just click the button below to read more and take action. The pre-written text is editable so you can write it in your own voice.

Bayer-Monsanto, headquartered in Germany, has been hit hard by pesticide litigation. Over 170,000 lawsuits have been filed by people who developed cancer, primarily non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, from exposure to glyphosate-based Roundup. The litigation has cost the company billions of dollars and its shares have plummeted. Bayer’s market capitalization is now at less than half of what it paid to acquire Monsanto in 2018. And its legal woes are not over by a long shot.
Bayer is pulling out all the stops to save Roundup weedkiller. This corporation will always choose profits over people’s lives.
It will take all of our voices to stop the chemical giant from using our government against us. But we can do this. Share this action with everyone you know. America needs to know.

While most people waste hours reading books or doing crossword puzzles, our patients are boosting brain power with the easiest method possible.

See, over 16,366 patients of ours are maximizing their cognitive potential from listening to our 7-minute Brain Power Song daily.

At first we thought this song only worked on children…

Little did we know, it's even more effective on seniors!

  • Margaret (79) - Started to benefit from a clearer, stronger memory in just a few days.
  • Benjamin (68) - Felt the brain fog dissipate from his mind almost immediately
  • Cicily (63) - Felt heightened energy and alertness after listening to his song for a week.

It starts working in less than 7 minutes a day, which is a FRACTION of time compared to reading books for learning.

We're still exploring the potential of this song…

But if enhancing your brain power from the comfort of your home sounds interesting, you can give it a listen yourself by clicking the link below:

Hello ,

With Thanksgiving right around the corner, it feels like the perfect time to highlight one of my favorite fall staples, sweet potatoes.

They’re cozy, nourishing, and full of the vitamins and minerals your hormones absolutely love.

These beautiful orange gems provide beta-carotene (vitamin A) for skin, thyroid, and immune health, vitamin C for glowing skin and resilience, and plenty of potassium and magnesium to help calm the nervous system.

Their natural sweetness comes from slow-digesting carbohydrates, which help keep your blood sugar steady and your energy stable throughout the day.

And of course, the fiber in sweet potatoes supports healthy digestion, which plays a huge role in hormone balance.

Since so many of you are planning your Thanksgiving menu, I wanted to share one of my favorite holiday side dishes.

It’s warm, silky, lightly spiced and absolutely delicious.

mail
Cardamom Mashed Sweet Potatoes
(Serves 8)

Ingredients:

  • 3 pounds sweet potatoes (about 8)
  • ½ cup butter, coconut oil, or ghee
  • ½ cup bone broth (or chicken/vegetable broth)
  • ½ tsp cardamom
  • ⅛ tsp nutmeg
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

  1. In a large stockpot, bring water to a boil.
  2. Peel and chop sweet potatoes into even-sized cubes. Add to boiling water and cook until fork tender.
  3. Drain and return to the pot. Add your fat of choice and mash with a potato masher or hand mixer.
  4. Slowly add broth until you reach your favorite consistency.
  5. Add cardamom, nutmeg, and season with salt and pepper.
This dish is cozy, fragrant, and nourishing, the perfect addition to your Thanksgiving table or any fall meal.

Love,

Robin xo

Best Ways to Lower Your Blood Pressure

By Dr. Mehmet Oz and Dr. Mike Roizen, MDs

A brisk walk, pumping iron, even a roll in the hay can make your systolic blood pressure rise — temporarily.

But if, like "Southland's" Regina King (svelte and athletic) or ex-quarterback Joe Montana (who'd think it?), you have chronic high blood pressure, you want to know it NOW.

New stats from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reveal that 75 million Americans have HBP; only about half of them (54 percent) have their condition under control; and about 1 in 5 folks with HBP don't even know they have it.

Special: Doctor: I ‘Prescribe’ This for Hypertension

So for everyone, whether you know if your BP is up or not, here's what to do:

Step No. 1: Get your BP tested; 85 percent of people with undiagnosed HBP have health insurance. So, no excuses — see your doc. No insurance? Most pharmacy chains do a blood pressure check for free. Just ask.

Your numbers? 120/80 is good; 115/76 is optimal (it slashes your risk for heart attacks and strokes in half). Dr. Mike's numbers are 115/75; Dr. Oz stays around 110/75.

Step No. 2: If your numbers are up, try the DASH diet — whole grains, vegetables, and fruit; 30 minutes of exercise daily (walking is our favorite); and if you have salt-sensitive HBP, limit salt intake to 1,500 milligrams a day. You'll slash your numbers by 8 to 14 points.

Step No. 3: Take everything down a notch. Stress leads to overeating, bad food choices, and lousy sleep habits — all risk factors for HBP. So make time for yourself, and try meditation to chill. No pressure, just a suggestion!

Most people don’t realize how much the first few minutes of the day shape the rest of it.
And I’m not talking about elaborate routines or cold plunges. I’m talking about the tiny, almost automatic habits we slip into before we’re even fully awake.
For many, the very first action of the day is reaching for a phone.
Before you’ve taken a breath with intention…
Before you’ve had a sip of water…
Before your feet even hit the floor…
Your nervous system is already jolted into a sympathetic (“fight-or-flight”) state. Notifications, emails, headlines...they all send a signal that your day is starting in reaction, not regulation.
And when your body begins the morning in a stress-dominant mode, healing becomes an uphill climb. Cortisol spikes at the wrong time, hormones lose rhythm, detox pathways tighten up, and your immune system shifts out of its restorative gear.
But here’s the good news: it doesn’t take a major life overhaul to reverse this.
A gentle, 2-3 minute reset ritual can shift your physiology back toward healing:
1. Place your phone out of reach the night before.
2. Sit up, take three slow breaths, and let your body wake on its own timeline.
3. Hydrate before you scroll. Your cells notice the difference.
4. Add just 30 seconds of movement (stretch, open the chest, roll the shoulders).
Small changes. Big physiological impact. Your morning can either pull you away from healing or gently guide you toward it.
If this resonates, I encourage you to read my short eBook on nervous system regulation and daily healing rhythms. Sometimes the simplest habits create the biggest shifts in recovery.
To your health and healing,

Think about the last meal you ate. Did it energize you, or leave your mind a little foggy?
Every bite you take is more than nutrition, it’s a message to your gut, and through the gut, to your brain.
When your gut is stressed or inflamed, the brain may never fully receive the signals your food is meant to provide. That means even a nutrient-rich meal might leave you tired, scattered, or unfocused. But how do you know what to choose to fuel your body properly?
At the Broken Brain Toxic Gut Summit, experts in neurology, functional medicine, and nutrition will show how to turn everyday meals into medicine that supports both your gut and your brain.
You will learn how to:
  • Choose foods that restore gut balance and boost mental clarity
  • Reduce dietary toxins that interfere with focus and energy
  • Support gut-brain communication for calm, alert thinking
  • Create a plan that enhances long-term cognitive health
If you want your meals to do more than fuel your body, if you want them to heal and sharpen your mind, this summit will show you the way. Click here to register for Encore Weekend starting tomorrow for $0.

Dreams aren’t just fleeting stories from the night: they’re powerful messengers. Cultivating a dream practice can support deep healing, and plants in turn can nourish us on this healing journey.
In this week’s episode of HerbMentor Radio, we sit down with Lauren Morgan for a conversation about dreaming with the plants.
Lauren is a community herbalist, dreamer, Earth-based ceremonialist, author, mother, and host of the Herbs and Dreams podcast. She attended her first herbal medicine apprenticeship nearly 20 years ago and holds a degree in Herbal Sciences from Bastyr University. Since 2014, she has taught hundreds of students through her Dreamweaving & Herbalism Immersion program.
Together, we explore...
  • Simple ways to begin or deepen your intentional dream practice
  • Lauren’s favorite herbal allies for dreamwork
  • How herbs and dreams are doorways to your inner wisdom
  • And so much more
If you’ve ever felt the pull of your dreams or wondered what the plants might whisper to you in the night, this episode will leave you inspired to listen more closely.
Because dreaming, like herbalism, is another way the Earth speaks through us.
P.S. Stay tuned: we’re dropping a brand new course with Lauren next year that we’re sure you’re going to love. :)

Clever Ways to Burn Fat

By Chauncey Crandall, M.D.

While dietitians advise switching to a whole food, plant-based diet to boost health and shed pounds, and fitness experts recommend a moderate but consistent exercise plan, there are some simple tricks that can help you along the path:

Special: The Hidden Cause of Fatigue and Low Energy

• Lower your thermostat. A study published in the journal Molecular Metabolism said that “cold ambient temperatures” help your body produce vitamin A, which in turn turns the bad white fat into metabolism-boosting brown fat.

• Fidget more. Studies show that fidgeting during the day burns 10 times more calories than sitting still. Tapping your foot, shaking your leg, and other signs of restlessness can burn up to 350 calories daily, which is enough to help you lose 30 to 40 pounds in a year.

• Eat protein for breakfast. Consuming high-protein foods at breakfast helps build muscle mass which in turn burns more fat.

• Schedule fat-burning boosts during the day. “One sneaky way to burn more fat more easily all day long is to rev up your metabolism in short intervals at various points during the day,” says Alicia Filley, P.T., founder of The Healthy Hiker. Recommendations include taking the stairs as often as possible while you are running errands or even at home. You can also set your timer and do jumping jacks for three minutes several times daily.

The Value of Tarps

Yes, this is one of the basics you will need in self-reliance

Uh, about those scratches on my face… I was handling a big momma rabbit who was not happy and she got me. I am lucky my eyes are OK. She has powerful hind legs…
The scratches did get a little bit inflamed and infected. What do I do about things like that?
Absolutely nothing.
If it gets worse, then I treat it (yes you can treat infections without antibiotics). Otherwise I trust my body is strong enough to handle these kinds of upsets. Actually I get cut, bruised, or scratched almost daily and it all just mostly heals itself. I don’t have time for a lot of unnecessary pampering.
But on to tarps!!! watch the short vid. Get smarter about what it is really like to live off grid. Even if you are in an apartment in a big city learn what is truly valuable. The accelerating currency collapse will have everyone completely change their understanding of what is valuable.
Get prepared.
We need you.

Selenium Alternative to Brazil Nuts
Image
Whenever someone asks me for a good source of selenium, my quick answer is Brazil nuts. After all, one average-sized (5 gram) Brazil nut reportedly has almost 96 mcg (micrograms) or 174% of the adult RDA for selenium, which is 55 mcg. But what if someone is allergic or sensitive to Brazil nuts? What’s a good alternative? Sunflower seeds are a decent source of selenium too at almost 19 mcg per quarter-cup (34% of the adult RDA), but who is going to eat this many sunflower seeds? I had a thought that maybe some of the selenium in sunflower seeds could be...
