Hi Jimi,

Did you know that poor gut health puts you at a higher risk of developing an autoimmune disease?

But what exactly is an autoimmune disease?

Well, autoimmune disease is where your immune system mistakenly attacks your own body’s tissues and organs.

Yep! Not good! 😲

So how is the gut related?

Your gut, specifically your microbiome, acts as the master controller of how your immune system operates.

If you have an imbalanced microbiome where you have an increase in harmful bacteria, this can send your immune system into overdrive, firing off a cascade of inflammatory chemicals that causes you to develop chronic inflammation, and in time, autoimmunity.

3 Components That Cause Autoimmune Disorders

There are three essential components that must be present for someone to develop an autoimmune disease. These include:

🧬 1. Genetic predisposition

Certain genes make individuals more likely to develop an autoimmune disease. If you have an autoimmune disease, there is a high percentage that someone else in your family also carries the gene.

🍞 2. A trigger

A specific antigen or protein that the immune system marks as a threat (real or not) which sets off an inflammatory cascade. This could include offending foods, moulds, pesticides, preservatives, or additives. In the case of Celiac disease, the trigger is gluten. However, for a lot of autoimmune diseases, the trigger is unknown.

🦠 3. Leaky gut

This is where your normally tightly knit cells of the intestines become porous, allowing large compounds, such as proteins from food or bacteria, to enter your bloodstream. Your immune system then incites an inflammatory response which can lead to autoimmunity.

Hey Jimi

There’s a special type of gas that your body needs to prevent or treat cancer.

Where does this gas come from?

Your gut.

The only problem is… when your gut bacteria is imbalanced, (as most of ours is) you stop producing this critical gas…

And when that happens, your immune system can no longer use this gas to fight off cancer.

That’s when tumor cells start multiplying and that’s when the cancer starts spreading.

And my special guest, Paul Barattiero, talks ALL about it in this new sneak peek from Conquering Cancer: The Missing Link.

This anti-cancer fuels your immune system

It’s hard to believe that our docuseries starts in JUST 5 days, and I want you and everyone to start benefiting from the content before it even starts…

So after watching your sneak peek, please click the buttons below the video to share and spread the word with family and friends!

Dear Friends,

This is an episode for so many of you! Many of you know autoimmunity is when the body’s immune system attacks itself. So could the reason why you still have symptoms, why you’re not getting better… could it be autoimmune?

From eczema, to celiac, type 1 and 2 diabetes, hashimotos, leaky gut, lupus, IBS… all autoimmune related, and all way too common these days.

In fact, autoimmunity is one of the fastest growing epidemics on the plant, and most people just live with it, or spend thousands on "solutions" that don’t help them improve, or even make them worse…

When you get to the cause, your body can heal, and I begin to explain that with my 3 Legged Stool analogy. Please share this episode with anyone who will benefit from this info.

Hey there,

Dr. C here.

Are your thyroid antibody levels elevated? Have you tried to get them down without any luck?

Some sources say it is impossible to lower them. The best thing you can do is wait until your thyroid is totally burned out. I’m sure the doctors who say that mean well. But they don’t know the full story.

Thyroid antibodies can come down. It turns out that three main things can help - diet, the right use of meds if you’re on them, and nutraceuticals.

Please join me this coming Tuesday, February 15th at 4:30 pm PT, 5:30 pm MT, 7:30 pm ET for a free webinar about these solutions. Register Here.

It turns out that antibodies can cause symptoms and they can raise your risk of long term complications.

I’ll talk about the role supplements can play as part of a comprehensive plan.

My thoughts on this have changed over the years. We look down on those who need a pill for every problem. We also look down on those who claim that the pills they sell can help every problem.

What I have come to see is that, when used specifically, they can help. I’ve found so many studies proving that the right supplements can help people lower their antibodies.

In the webinar, we’ll make complete sense of this in detail.

Here is the link you will need to register. The event is on February 15th at 4:30 pm PT, 5:30 pm MT, 7:30 pm ET. I’ll do a live Q&A session at the end.

Since Zoom has limited space, I’d suggest coming on 10 minutes before we start.

I’m really happy to have another helpful option to share with you and I hope you’ll join me on Tuesday.

To your best health,

Dr. C

BREAKING NEWS

Pfizer Pulls Back after SHF advocates Submit 25,000 Public Comments!

Is it fair to say that the White House agenda to vaccinate our babies even gives Pfizer pause?
Pfizer reported in December 2021 the 2-dose jab didn’t work in kids 6 months-4 years
, and started testing 3 doses instead. The FDA asked for their application anyway. The White House was ready with “kid-sized needles” and millions of purchased doses despite a failed trial.
VRBPAC was set to meet Tuesday, Feb. 15 to vote with incomplete data. Individuals across the country made over 38,000 comments to the federal register-over 25,000 were from YOU—SHF Health Freedom Advocates! [YOU CAN STILL SUBMIT YOUR COMMENT HERE]
Your action is saving lives.
Every step back the White House must take, every turn they have to make on their story, is waking people up. Delaying access to this experimental jab keeps those 18 million babies from becoming a part of one of the largest human experiments to sweep the globe.
mail

This is a win, but it’s not done yet. The White House will keep pushing and Pfizer assures us the 3-dose trial is moving swiftly. But this delay in the plan lets more information come to light. It gives people more time to ask questions and make their own decision. Let’s keep this momentum going. The Administration’s covid policies is a sandcastle starting to crumble.

YOU call the shots on your child’s health care. Let’s stop government from practicing medicine and forcing one-size-fits-all medicine on our families! The White House just showed us what horrible lengths it will go to to get the covid vaccine into our children. Send a letter to your lawmakers saying NO to mandates for experimental drugs.
TAKE OTHER STATE AND NATIONAL ACTIONS

Don't let them do this to our future

Hey Jimi

According to Dr. Joel Kahn, there are 2 little-known tests that EVERYBODY should ask their doctor for.

The first is an "Inflammation Test" where your doctor looks for "High Sensitivity C-Reactive Protein."

Don’t let the name scare you, this simple test looks for inflammation markers in your blood…

And it gives your doctor a clear signal that this inflammation is putting you at risk for cancer or heart disease. (The good news is, if this test comes back positive, then you’ll know exactly what to do to fight these diseases at the root cause).

The second test you’ll want to ask for, is "Lipoprotein a." This test isn’t as important for cancer, but it’s CRITICAL for heart disease…

Because it shows you if you have a special genetic type of cholesterol, that doctors are just finding out about…

1 out of 4 people have inherited this cholesterol, and you’ll definitely want to know if you have it.

But you don’t have to take my word for it…

Just watch Dr. Joel Kahn here as he explains everything in this new sneak peek from The Missing Link docuseries.

Dr. Joel Kahn is one of the most esteemed doctors in medicine. You may have seen him on Joe Rogan, Dr. Oz, Fox, or one of many other publications…

After you watch Dr. Joel Kahn’s clip, make sure you share it with your family and friends! You can play an important role in spreading this amazing information!

Jimi,

How much money would you spend on food that could cure Alzheimer's or dementia?

If it cost $1 Million, would you pay for it?

If you already have family members suffering from it, then you’d probably give up anything in order to get your loved ones back to “normal”.

If you or your family members have NOT been hit by dementia yet, then you still have time…

Because the food I’m talking about is a lot less than $1 Million and you can easily find it at your local grocery store…

Check this out:

There is one food that is proving to be extremely effective for treating many neurological diseases, including dementia and Alzheimer’s.

AND... it can also help you TODAY with your memory issues.

Hi Jimi,

Despite all the media attention COVID is getting - heart disease is still by far - the leading cause of death in developed countries.

In fact, it now kills 31% of all people worldwide!

That's a frightening fact, which is why my colleague Jonathan Landsman has brought together 22 of the world's top heart health experts to create the Cardiovascular Docu-Class.

Since the 1980's we've been told that high cholesterol is the cause of heart disease - but new research has revealed that half of all heart attacks occur in people with totally "normal" cholesterol levels.

That makes cholesterol a horrible indicator of heart health!

Here are 6 surprising contributors to cardiovascular disease that have way more connection to heart health than cholesterol does…

Working at a desk: A 12-year study published in the Journal of the American College of Cardiology suggests that people who sit for 10 hours a day are more likely to have a heart attack or stroke.

So if you sit at a desk for 8 hours a day, and sit in your car commuting 2 hours a day, that’s a real problem.

  • Being indoors: Cross-sectional studies have reported that vitamin D deficiency is associated with increased risk of high blood pressure, heart failure, and coronary artery disease.

  • Loneliness: A study published in 2016, by the journal Heart showed that loneliness and social isolation were associated with a 29% increased risk of having a heart attack and 32% greater risk of a stroke - similar to light smoking or obesity!

  • Root canals: Root-canaled teeth are silent incubators for highly toxic bacteria which can raise inflammation in the bloodstream and even cause cardiovascular damage!

  • Thyroid dysfunction: Thyroid hormones have an influence on heart function, and a malfunctioning thyroid gland can trigger high blood pressure or an irregular heartbeat.

  • Unemployment: An 18-year study published in the Archives of Internal Medicine found that people who lost 1 job had a 22% increased risk of a heart attack, and people who lost 4 or more jobs were 63% more likely to have a heart attack.

CLICK HERE to see 15 more substances and conditions that can cause cardiovascular damage - and while you're there be sure to sign up for the Cardiovascular Docu-Class because...

This information could literally save your life.

‘Healthy’ Diet Hikes Heart Failure Risk

By Chauncey Crandall, M.D.

Middle-aged men who follow high-protein diets may be at higher risk of heart failure, according to research conducted on nearly 2,500 men ages 42 to 60 who ate mostly animal protein and dairy.

Scientists who conducted the study published in Circulation: Heart Failure, an American Heart Association journal, followed their subjects for an average period of 22 years.

Special: Top Researcher Exposes the Truth About Vitamins

Over the course of the study, they found 334 cases of heart failure, which happens when the body is unable to pump enough blood and oxygen into the body.

The researchers then divided the participants into four groups based on the types of protein they consumed. They found that the men who ate the most animal protein and dairy were at higher risk of developing heart failure than those who ate the least.

But not all high-protein diets are bad.

Interestingly, the men who ate a plant-based protein diet had only a 17% risk of developing heart failure. Researchers also found that people who ate proteins from fish and eggs did not have the same associated risk of heart failure as the animal protein eaters.

Your Daily Motivation

Sunday

February-13-2022
After going through a series of disappointments, it's natural to have a fear of hope.

You just don't want to get disappointed again, so you no longer expect anything positive to happen to you. You don't allow yourself to think about good things.

It's alright. Give yourself the time you need to cope with difficult situations. If you can't stay hopeful, then don't give in to negative thoughts as well.

Maintain a self-care routine and do more things that bring you joy. Slowly work towards rebuilding a sense of optimism towards the future.

When you do that, you'll be able to transcend your fear and motivate yourself to improve your life.

LOVING BOUNDARIES

As a result of going through cancer and doing a lot of personal exploration, I discovered that I’m an empath. An empath is a person highly attuned to the emotions of those around them, but it goes beyond this to actually taking those feelings on and feeling yourself what another person is feeling.

It really makes so much sense, and looking back on my life, I know that this facet of me was in the driver’s seat for most of it up until my diagnosis and responsible for a lot of the decisions and behaviours of my life. It still is, in truth, but I’m slowly learning when to let the empath reign and when to reel it in.

I let how others felt and what they believed determine far too much in my life during the before-times (before cancer). It kept me in bad relationships, had me convincing myself to abandon dreams, and had me people pleasing 24/7, 365 days a year. You may have heard of the “breast cancer personality” before - the tendency for those of us who put others' wants and needs before our own, who over-mother and over-care, to develop breast cancer - and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if “empath" gets added to that list of traits.

When we’re diagnosed, it’s a common occurrence for other people to start piling on suggestions, opinions, and their own feelings about the situation. While this all comes from a place of caring and of them just wanting to help, it can be super overwhelming. While we’re trying desperately to manage our own mental and emotional health along with the extremely pressing physical healing we’re undergoing, there is a hurricane of other people’s emotions engulfing us, and it can seem next to impossible NOT to absorb at least some of it.

If you find yourself in the middle of a similar storm, the best thing you can do is start putting your emotional and mental wellbeing FIRST. It may feel selfish and weird and uncomfortable initially, but it is one of the most important things you can do on this healing journey. Putting firm boundaries in place surrounding who or what you can be present for, support, and listen to, and especially what you can give, is key.

When we spend our lives taking care of others and putting their emotional needs first, it can be a real struggle to shift that focus onto ourselves, but you deserve every ounce of it, and a piece of your healing may be depending on it. So, erect those loving boundaries. I think you’ll find that those who really matter will congratulate you for it, and those that don’t appreciate it, well, that’s why those boundaries are in place, so they can stay firmly on the other side of them.

Happy Healing ❤️

The thing that made the biggest difference in my mental and emotional health and that was the turning point in my journey, when I began to be able to see the lessons and gifts and growth that were coming along with my cancer experience, was when I started a gratitude practice. I didn’t start it intentionally; one day, while driving up a sunny, beautifully treed hill, I just felt this overwhelming sense of gratitude for still being alive and here to see this beautiful day and these lovely trees. I got curious about gratitude after that though, and started intentionally incorporating moments of it into my day more and more. Though it may seem like such a small thing, I can’t tell you how much of a difference it has made in my life. If you are interested in reading more about my experience with practicing gratitude, you can check out my blog post on it here.

But where do you even start with gratitude? That answer might look a little different for everyone, and I’m sharing something today that may help you to answer that question for yourself. If you are interested in learning more about gratitude and how to incorporate it into your own life, check out this free mini-challenge, Grumpy to Grateful, happening from February 14-18. Holly Bertone is a breast cancer, autoimmune disorder, and chronic fatigue survivor who helps women view their chronic illness as a gift and unwrap resilience to build fortitude with gratitude. In this challenge, you will learn:
  • How to build a gratitude practice so that it's 100% ON YOUR OWN TERMS
  • How to incorporate your own religion, faith, or spirituality into your gratitude practice
  • One daily habit to implement so that your gratitude practice becomes second nature
  • The 20-second concept that will forever change the way you view gratitude, even if you're convinced it's never worked for you before and/or that it's not for you
  • Journaling for optimal gratitude - and what to do even if you don't like/hate to journal.
Plus lots more! If this is striking a chord with you, learn more and register here

Tips and Tools

Fatigue while and after dealing with a cancer diagnosis is super common. Not only are treatments physically exhausting, but the whole ordeal is very mentally and emotionally draining, even after active treatment is over. My friends at Cancer Warrior Canada Foundation are sharing some cancer-related fatigue tips, and this week was about the benefits of massage therapy. To see their other tips and information, check out their Facebook or Instagram pages!

Have you heard me speak about medicinal movement, and the science of movement for helping the body heal from cancer?

Why is movement so important for the function of health, healing and rejuvenation?

There’s many factors why, but here’s 9 primary reasons a healthy movement practice is critical to helping you overcome cancer:

  1. Improved sleep
  2. Reduced pain
  3. Increased immunity
  4. Natural detoxification
  5. Longevity
  6. Lowered cancer risk
  7. A better quality of life
  8. Reduced inflammation
  9. Prevents obesity, heart disease, and other chronic diseases
  10. More energy, focus and clarity
Now any one of these reasons is a good enough reason to have a healthy daily movement practice or routine, but when they are all combined, it’s a no-brainer!

When you move the body the way it was meant to move, a lot of natural healthy processes occur - including the pumping and flushing of the lymphatic system.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Physical Activity Guidelines for Americans recommends that, for substantial health benefits and to reduce the risk of chronic diseases, including cancer, adults should engage in:

  • 150 to 300 minutes of moderate-intensity aerobic activity, 75 to 100 minutes of vigorous aerobic activity, or an equivalent combination of each intensity each week. This physical activity can be done in episodes of any length.
  • They say do muscle-strengthening activities at least 2 days a week
  • And balance training, in addition to aerobic and muscle-strengthening activity.

With that said, often people dealing with cancer or undergoing conventional treatment experience chronic fatigue, pain and low energy or motivation to get to the gym or engage in any serious physical activity.

Let alone the desire or ability to engage in "intense" physical activity.

In fact, if you have cancer, I don't recommend engaging in intense activity, at least not at first.

You should primarily be doing light and easy activity like walking, swimming, cycling, light resistance training, and vibrational technology,

I personally use a vibrational technology called Powerplate for 5 minutes every morning and every night to help my body stay vital, healthy, strong, and cancer-free.

And the good news is that Powerplate is having a huge sale for Valentine's day.

During my interview with Dr. Jason Conviser we discuss the science of movement and vibrational technology for helping the body fight cancer.

Watch this 12 minute video here to discover how you can help keep cancer at bay with vibrational technology.
