What really IS a cancer cell?
Are they cells with evil intentions? No, they are cells under stress which basically means the cells have been asked to do something that they don’t have the energy to complete. With the billions of cells in our body, what makes the cancer cell its own breed?


  • High levels of glucose uptake. Otto Warburg was the first to understand cancer’s high rate of glycolysis (the process of extracting glucose for energy). I should note here that this doesn’t necessarily mean cancer cells specifically love sugar. The cancer cell is actually munching on amino acids which results in sugar, and the sugar turns into fat for the cell to use for energy. It’s not that the cell loves sugar, the cell is simply unable to oxidize sugar in a normal manner. The excess glucose converts into the next feature of cancer, lactate.

  • High lactate secretion. Lactic acid is not focused on as much in the cancer world, but it can play a huge role in tumor growth, angiogenesis (the formation of new blood cells), and metastasis (cancer cells spreading). High amounts of lactic acid are dangerous because it is an "excitatory signal" and in already stressed cancer signal, that’s the last thing we need because it depletes the cell’s energy and further disturbs the cell’s metabolism.

  • These two features are whats known as the Warburg Effect and they can occur at levels thirty times greater than normal cells. It doesn’t stop there! The aforementioned elevated glucose uptake leads to elevated lactate secretion, which ultimately results in a unique pattern of negative charges. It is the lactate that gives the cancer cell its negative charges and consequently a magnetic separation between healthy cells and cancer cells. Therefore another trait of cancer cells is negative charges, and this is currently being researched for early detection purposes.

A healthy cells is working smoothly. Its processes are running clean. A cancer cell had the same intentions. However, the environment in the body reduced the cells capabilities to fulfill all the necessary movements and its metabolism is no longer healthy. These metabolic patters of a cancer cell can help us better understand the diagnosis and treatments!​

Removing toxins from your body is a whole-life-style approach, Jimi.

Our goal is to help our patients reduce their exposure to toxins over time.

First and foremost, it’s important to be strategic in your food choices. You should also take supplements prescribed by your doctor, you may need to make some major (or minor) lifestyle adjustments, and it’s possible you’ll even need to alter your environment and relationships.

Detoxification is not an overnight process. We’ve compiled a list of food-related changes that you can make to begin your detox journey right now.

🚫 Completely eliminate:

  • ALL refined or processed foods and beverages including bread, pasta, pastries, tortillas, cookies, candies, soda, and juices made from concentrate.

  • Foods with ingredients that include cane sugar, honey, maple syrup, coconut sugar, corn syrup, or any other form of sugar (even if it’s organic).

💪 Eat plenty of:

  • Veggies! Your goal should be to get seven to ten servings per day (one serving size is a half-cup cooked or a cup raw).

  • Microgreens or sprouts. Sprouts from broccoli, sunflowers, and arugula have 10-20 times the nutritional value of the fully grown plant.

  • Healthy fats like olive, olive oils, seeds, coconuts, avocados, and raw nuts.

  • Grass-fed beef, organic, free-range poultry, and wild-caught seafood and shellfish.

  • Whole organic, free-range eggs.

Although we want all of our patients to start with eliminating toxins in their food, we also create an individual plan based on each person’s specific lab results. Exactly what foods, supplements, and lifestyle changes we suggest for you will depend on what toxins we find in your system.

You see, these lists are an excellent place to start, but they’re certainly “all-inclusive” and food-related changes are just one phase in our detox process.

Hello Jimi,
Thank you again for your fantastic feedback on my ‘How to RESET Your Nervous System’ series so far.
Over the course of the first two videos, I explained the impact of stress and trauma on the physical body and what the maladaptive stress response is.
