A crucial new COVID-19 vaccine injury report came to the ridiculous conclusion that only one single injury (myocarditis) could be causally linked to the mRNA vaccines. ICAN immediately launched an investigation to determine conflicts of interest among the group that produced the report, and the results are deeply concerning.
Lead Counsel, Aaron Siri, Esq. lays out the details here:

The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) recently released a new report on the adverse effects of COVID-19 vaccination. The report, which was requested by the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), reviewed nineteen potential harms of the COVID-19 vaccines and found only myocarditis was linked to the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. This report is especially unfortunate because, as ICAN pointed out in a prior update, NASEM’s reports are relied upon by the federal government to determine whether individuals will receive compensation for vaccine injuries.
Given the mountain of scientific evidence linking the vaccines to numerous injuries, suspicion swirled around the report, which was purportedly conducted by an “independent” committee at NASEM. As we suspected, the 29 individuals (15 committee members and 14 report reviewers) involved in producing this report were anything but neutral.
Of the report committee members and reviewers, eleven have current or former financial ties to the National Institutes of Health (NIH), seven have former ties to FDA, four have past affiliations with CDC, and four have former ties to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). Even more concerning, three committee members and eight reviewers have direct financial ties with vaccine manufacturers like Pfizer, Moderna, or Janssen, including:
  • Reviewer Dr. Kathryn Edwards, the “Godmother of Vaccines” who was deposed by ICAN’s lead attorney Aaron Siri, has received over $83,000 from Pfizer. Despite this, during the COVID-19 pandemic, she was the Principal Investigator of the CDC-funded Clinical Immunization Safety Assessment (CISA) project, which ironically provides consultation to U.S. healthcare providers and health departments about COVID-19 vaccine safety. In addition, she sat on Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine data safety monitoring committee – which means she already cleared this vaccine as being safe enough to trial and now she is “reviewing” adverse events potentially causally linked to the same product whose trial she oversaw!
  • Committee member Dr. Thomas Lee Ortel is a member of the Duke Human Vaccine Institute team conducting vaccine safety research with a contract from CISA. He has also received $676,000 from Takeda Pharmaceuticals, which developed a COVID-19 vaccine for Japan.
  • Reviewer Dr. Betty Diamond has received over $263,000 from Janssen, maker of the J&J vaccine, and over $316,000 from Genetech, a biotechnology firm partnering with BioNTech on a cancer vaccine.
These are but a few damning examples of financial conflicts among those reviewing and compiling this report.
It is safe to say that NASEM’s report was not neutral in any sense of the word as the review panel is incestuously embedded with the government and Big Pharma. In fact, out of twenty-nine committee members and reviewers, only seven lack current or former ties to the federal government or vaccine pharmaceutical companies that we could identify. Can you trust their conclusions about the safety of these products? Of course not.
Rest assured, ICAN will continue to investigate and expose corruption and corporate bias in reports from our federal regulators.​

Focus on Heart Health This Fall

Once the hot summer temperatures transform into the crisp breezy days of autumn, take the opportunities presented by harvest time and cooler days to focus on heart health. Your heart deserves to be taken care of all year long. Here are a few things to keep you going in autumn.

Choose fresh fruits and vegetables, organically grown if possible. They’re packed with antioxidants that protect blood vessels and arteries. And take advantage of fall’s freshest foods.

Special: Top Cardiologist Reveals Secret for a Healthy Heart

Break for exercise. Research finds that if you exercise after doing a task requiring mental concentration, you’ll be less likely to overeat. While any type of physical movement is beneficial for heart health, being outside and breathing in fresh air only increases its effectiveness.

Get up. Even if you need to set a reminder to get up and walk around — for instance after sitting too long while at your computer, reading, or watching TV — do it.

Nix the nicotine. Thirty percent of all heart disease deaths are caused by cigarette smoking, and it’s the single largest preventable cause of heart disease.

Get enough sleep. The American Heart Association recently added adequate sleep for better heart health. Establish a sleep routine to give your heart time to rest after each day. Seven to nine hours a night is recommended.

Limit sodium, saturated fats, and added sugars. You can enjoy foods now that are in season, while lowering your blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

Limit alcohol intake. Regular or high alcohol use can hurt your heart and lead to diseases of the heart muscle. It can also raise your blood pressure and affect liver health. Consider switching to water to stay hydrated. It’ll help you overall, as well as benefit your skin, which can become dry in cooler months.

Hi Jimi,
Caring for a loved one with Alzheimer’s can be overwhelming, not just emotionally but financially as well. This is something I’ve seen firsthand with many of my patients and their families.

One of the early signs of cognitive decline can be poor financial judgment. Sadly, older adults are often targeted by scams because they tend to have a nest egg and can easily become confused. It's heartbreaking to see someone who worked hard their whole life fall victim to fraud. That's why I always recommend staying informed about common scams and creating a system of checks and balances with trusted family members or financial advisors.

But even beyond these risks, Alzheimer’s care can be incredibly costly. As the disease progresses, many people require around-the-clock care, often needing the help of more than one person at a time. It’s not a one-person job, and the financial strain can quickly build.

What brings me hope, though, is the possibility of reducing these costs by addressing the root causes of Alzheimer’s. By focusing on prevention, delaying the onset, or in some cases reversing cognitive decline, we can help ease the financial burden on families. The earlier we intervene, the more we can minimize the need for intensive, costly care in the future.
