I'm looking for the pure essential oil to give as a gift to someone experiencing a cancer scare.

The other thing I'm giving is organic hyssop tea. I remember reading, years ago, a woman who told of being given that cancer death sentence by her doctor in NYC. Instead of taking the slow death by radiation, chemo and surgery, she opted to go home to Jamaica, to just die in peace. There, her old nana started to treat her with hyssop tea, along with a clean diet of homegrown garden food and backyard chicken eggs. She regained her health and was many years into recovery when she recounted her story.

Those biblical cures are interesting to say the least.

Walton, I feel sad for the battles you and Jimi face every day.

The particular article linked is about eating a diet to keep your body from being a complacent host to cancer. It cites scientific research, but does not link any individual studies.

It also seems to indicate a dislike of guacamole, but that's the author's problem. Guacamole is the best dip I know of, just avocado mashed with fresh pressed garlic and salt. But you're not here for recipes. GreenMedInfo has lots and lots of articles on the health science of the avocado, including avocado oil: https://greenmedinfo.com/gmi-search?text=avocado

The word avocado comes from a word in pre-Mexican language (Nahuatl), "āhuacatl" which meant "testicle", probably because of the way avocadoes look when hanging on the tree.

I don't think false hope is in play here. If I got that dreaded diagnosis I would start trying things, anything, everything, but especially things that have a widespread reputation for promoting health.

I would get a "good" essential oil then, Organix has a good one. I like hyssop tea, I have grown my own hyssop and anise hyssop which is my favorite for tea. Wish I had more for you on this.

In a groundbreaking discovery, scientists from Tennessee State University have revealed that sweet potato leaves and stems—parts we rarely see in grocery stores—might be powerful weapons against cancer.

Extracts from two varieties—All-Purple and Carolina Ruby—tested on human breast and lung cancer cells uncovered incredible results. The All-Purple leaf extracts demolished breast cancer cell growth by 76% at minimal concentrations. Meanwhile, Carolina Ruby extracts showed even more impressive results against lung cancer cells, stopping their growth by a whopping 96%. Perhaps most exciting? These natural extracts sometimes outperformed tamoxifen, a common breast cancer drug.

6 reasons your acid reflux worsens at night​

Ever notice how that burning feeling in your chest often shows up right when you're trying to sleep? Acid reflux has a sneaky way of crashing the party when you’re in bed. Let's look at why this happens:

1. Gravity's Role
When you lie down, gravity can't help keep stomach acid down like it does when you're upright. This makes it easier for acid to flow back into your esophagus, causing discomfort.

2. Decreased Swallowing
While you're asleep, you swallow less often. Swallowing helps clear acid from your esophagus, so when you do it less, acid can stick around longer and cause more irritation.

3. Slower Digestion at Night
Your body naturally slows down digestion at night. This can lead to more pressure in your stomach, which might push stomach contents, including acid, up into your esophagus.

4. Evening Eating Habits
What and when you eat in the evening can make a big difference. Late-night snacks, alcohol, or caffeine close to bedtime can all trigger reflux symptoms.

5. Sleep Position
How you sleep matters too. Some positions can worsen reflux (like sleeping on your back or right side), while others (like sleeping on your left side or elevating your upper body) might help reduce symptoms.

Sleepless and inflamed​

You may think it’s just a “harmless” all-nighter, but your immune system keeps score.

New research reveals that even one night of poor sleep can significantly alter immune function, mimicking inflammation patterns seen in obesity.

The study monitored 237 adults across weight categories, tracking sleep with wearable devices for 7 days. Researchers also analyzed blood samples for monocyte subpopulations and 41 inflammatory markers.

Results showed that lower sleep efficiency (percentage of time in bed actually spent sleeping) correlated with increased levels of nonclassical monocytes—immune cells associated with inflammation. This shift aligned with elevated inflammatory markers like TNF-α and MCP-1 across all weight categories. Notably, people with obesity showed even greater increases in these inflammatory markers compared to their lean counterparts.

To confirm these findings, 5 lean individuals underwent 24 hours of sleep deprivation. Blood samples showed a rapid increase in inflammatory nonclassical monocytes, which reversed after normal sleep resumed.

This research highlights sleep's crucial role in immune regulation and suggests improving sleep quality could reduce inflammation-related health risks.​

Mexican–stuffed Sweet Potatoes​

These Mexican-Inspired Stuffed Sweet Potatoes are a nutrient powerhouse, packed with fiber for gut health, plant-based protein for sustained energy, and antioxidants to fight inflammation. The combination of sweet potatoes, black beans, and avocado supports digestion, heart health, and immune function while delivering bold, satisfying flavors!​

Ingredients:
  • 2 large sweet potatoes, scrubbed
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 ½ cups (15 oz) black beans, precooked
  • 1 cup corn (fresh or frozen)
  • ½ red bell pepper, diced
  • ½ red onion, diced
  • 1 small tomato, diced
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp cumin
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp chili powder
  • ¼ tsp garlic powder
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp lime juice
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro

Toppings:
  • 1 avocado, mashed or diced
  • 2 tbsp dairy-free sour cream or plain coconut yogurt
  • Sliced jalapeños (optional, for heat)
  • Extra cilantro & lime wedges
Instructions:
  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Rub sweet potatoes with olive oil and salt, then place on a baking sheet. Roast for 40-50 minutes, or until fork-tender.
  2. To make the filling, heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Sauté the onion & bell pepper for 3-4 minutes until softened. Add black beans, corn, tomato, cumin, smoked paprika, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir and cook for another 5 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in lime juice and cilantro.
  3. To assemble, slice each sweet potato open and gently fluff the inside with a fork. Fill with the black bean & corn mixture. Top with avocado, dairy-free sour cream, salsa, jalapeños, and extra cilantro.
  4. Serve warm with extra lime wedges for a fresh, zesty kick!

How a pesticide found even in organic food blocks your detox​

Although the use of glyphosate is not allowed in organic agriculture, traces of it are sometimes found in some organic foods.
However, eating organic dramatically reduces the body's burden of glyphosate within a week.
This is important for detoxification processes that rely on bile production and excretion because glyphosate interferes with bile production.
A substantial portion of the toxic substances in the body are eliminated in the bile manufactured and excreted by the liver.
By interfering with bile production, glyphosate impairs one of the main pathways for eliminating toxic substances from the body.
If you're not eating 100% organic, I strongly recommend doing so!
Just one non-organic product that contains crops upon which glyphosate was used can introduce a lot glyphosate into your body.
By the way, yesterday I mentioned that I would tell you about a way to learn much more about unblocking your detox, but I'm not quite ready to release that today. I will probably do so tomorrow :)

How yeast overgrowth blocks your detox​

Yeast organisms like Candida albicans block your detox in several ways.
First, they produce toxins like acetaldehyde that can burden your liver's detoxification capacity.
Acetaldehyde can be broken down by acetaldehyde dehydrogenase, which uses NAD+ (derived from B3) as a cofactor, or by aldehyde oxidase, which requires FAD (derived from B2) and molybdenum as cofactors.
Yeast overgrowth can lead to a deficiency of these cofactors (molybdenum and vitamins B2 and B3), while also reducing the availability of aldehyde dehydrogenase and oxidase enzymes for breaking down other aldehydes, potentially leading to the accumulation of neurotoxic aldehyde metabolites of dopamine, norepinephrine and serotonin that cause neuroinflammation, neurodegeneration, and sleep dysregulation.
Since B2 and B3 are two of the most important vitamins in energy production, deficiencies in these B vitamins can reduce energy production, which further reduces detoxification processes because most of them are energy-dependent in one way or another.
Since molybdenum is the cofactor for the enzyme that convers sulfite into sulfate, which is essential for the phase 2 detox process called sulfation, yeast-induced deficiency of molybdenum deficiency can make you deficient in sulfate and less able to use sulfation, which by the way is one of the important pathways for detoxification of certain mold toxins.
Sulfation is also used for clearing salicylates and other phenols, so sulfate / sulfation deficiency can give you to intolerance to salicylates and other phenols (e.g. polyphenols from brightly-colored fruits and vegetables as well as herbs).
Since most herbs contain phenols, an intolerance to phenols can make it difficult to impossible to use herbs in the healing process.
Yeast organisms also sometimes produce oxalate, and oxalate competes with sulfate for the sulfate transporter, which can reduce the ability of sulfate to get into cells.
Addressing yeast overgrowth early in the detox or "pre-tox" process can be important to ensure smoother sailing.

2 top ways to clear interference fields​

Back in 2009 when I first started working with the practitioner who helped me the most with my health, I learned from her what interference fields are.
Interference fields are places in the body where the flow of voltage and/or biophotons and perhaps other forms of subtle energy is restricted or blocked by things like scars, injection sites (e.g. vaccinations), chronic infection (e.g. jawbone cavitations), or other factors.
When I started doing detox work with this practitioner, I often had the experience of feeling fine when I started a new detox protocol and then feeling very fatigued.
I would contact the practitioner about it, and she would tell me to come to her office to do some testing.
Very often it turned out that an interference field was blocking my detox.
We would find the interference field and clear it, and then I would feel fine again while proceeding with the detox protocol.
The two main, reliable ways to clear interference fields are neural therapy and a specific mud packing protocol.
Neural therapy involves the injection of procaine into the area of the interference field, and it sometimes needs to be repeated.
The mud packing protocol that I learned back in 2009 involves several stages of applying a certain blend of muds, soaking the feet in water with certain minerals, and then spending 10 minutes outside.
The procedure has to be done according to the protocol, rather than substituting random other types of muds and minerals, and all of the steps must be completed.
I have never needed to repeat the mud packing procedure on an interference field.
But I have seen people do the procedure incorrectly and then have to repeat it.
Interference fields are one of the main detox-blocking factors that people overlook, yet for many people it is the most important issue to address in order to restore the ability to detox and regain full health.
By the way, interference fields do not only block detox. They can impair the function of any system in the body.
Other factors that can block your detox include liver-gallbladder congestion, nutrient deficiencies, genetic polymorphisms in detox-related genes, and more.

[ARTICLE] Trump Admin Says Americans Should Farm Chickens to Combat Egg Prices
If you've been on the fence about getting chickens, now is as good of a time as any!
"According to the Department of Agriculture's Economic Research Service, the price of retail eggs rose by 8.4 percent in December 2024 and 13.8 percent in January 2025. The service predicts egg prices will rise by 41.1 percent throughout 2025.
This increase was attributed to an ongoing outbreak of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI), which according to USA Today has forced farmers to slaughter an estimated 166 million birds, including laying hens.
