Your life will get so much better once you stop trying to prove yourself to others.
A specific label implies no change. When you keep chasing a label in order to win approval from others, you hold yourself back. You prevent yourself from evolving and pushing yourself to the next level.
You have to be able to appreciate yourself and be confident about who you are. If you can't give yourself love and appreciation, approval of anyone else won't make a difference.

Countering Big Blood Sugar Drops

The Big Dipper is a constellation that has long been used to point sailors toward the North Star, and keep their ships on course.

Well, a new study reveals that knowing if you're a big dipper can help you stay on course too — and avoid overeating and weight gain.

An international study published in the journal Nature Metabolism found that some people repeatedly experience a significant blood sugar drop a few hours after eating, prompting them to consume hundreds of more calories a day than folks who aren't big dippers.

After eating, it's normal for blood sugar to rise and then, within two hours, fall. These researchers took a deep look at what happens two to three hours after eating and found that some folks' blood sugar level fell rapidly below baseline before coming back up — increasing their hunger by 9%, and prompting them to eat 312 more calories during the day than the “little dippers.”

That can add up to a 20-pound weight gain in a year.

You can counter this extreme blood sugar bounce if it affects you. Try these tips:

• Avoid all processed carbs; they fuel the big dip.

• Eat lean protein at every meal. Dr. Mike recommends a salmon burger for breakfast.

• Keep healthy snack food on hand: raw veggies, roasted chickpeas, nuts, and berries are best.

• Have a bit of your daily 1 ounce of dark 70% cacao chocolate whenever you feel the big dip coming on.

Ever wonder why processed food is so cheap?
I mean it has lots of ingredients, utilizes lots of processing, usually has significant transportation costs...
Why is it so cheap?
Partly it is because it can last forever sitting on a shelf, but that is only a small part of the equation. There is more.
This cheap price for hyper-processed foods has lead it to being about 75% of the average Americans diet.
You see in America there is a "Farm Bill" that uses 10's of billions of dollars every year to manipulate farmers into growing vast amounts of corn, wheat, & soy.
This subsidized overproduction means these ingredients are really, really cheap. So, now food manufacturers have gotten creative and use corn, wheat, and/or soy in pretty much EVERYTHING.
Now, here is rough part:
The fact that people choose the artificially cheap food for their family is no different than accepting payment to feed their family processed food-like substances :-/
ouch...
Now, I am not hear to judge (Lord knows I am not perfect) but I also won't protect you from the truth. We are what we eat, we choose what we eat.

It's crazy stuff Jimi. When you think about it many were thinking "nah, im not sure about this, im hearing of proven associated blood clot deaths, long term chronic fatigue long covid issues, people with the same issues as having had covid like loss of taste and smell so there pleasure senses of food taste and smell are gone forever. (They say that's what tipped the singer of INXS over the edge after he got hit and lost those. He went on a downward spiral those who knew him well said)
Yet....."oh, yeah really!? A free beer if I get it or a ride on a roller coaster? Well yeeeehah sign me up and jab me!"

Each year, millions of Americans face the reality of living with a mental health condition, like depression and anxiety. Sadly, less than half of the 51.5 million adults with mental illness received medical care in 2020. However, mental illness affects everyone directly or indirectly through family, friends or coworkers. Considering many people don't seek medical help, at times food can be their only "medicine."

"A very large body of evidence now exists that suggests diet is as important to mental health as it is to physical health," says Felice Jacka, president of the International Society for Nutritional Psychiatry Research.

Our food matters. If you eat lots of processed meat, fried food, refined cereals, candy, pastries, and high-fat dairy products, you're more likely to be anxious and depressed. A healthy diet is protective and can help keep your body and mind healthy.

1. It's crucial for brain development

2. It puts the brain into grow mode

Certain nutrients and dietary patterns are linked to changes in a brain protein that helps increase connections between brain cells.

3. It fills the gut with healthy bacteria

Trillions of good bacteria live in the gut. They fend off bad germs and keep your immune system in check.

To boost your mental health, focus on eating plenty of fruits and vegetables, whole fiber-rich grains, along with foods rich in omega-3 fatty acids, such as salmon. Yeah, Iv been nodding my head that much at all the stupid I keep hearing about that I better be careful it doesn't fall off.
If anyone had told me 1 1/2 yrs ago what it would be like right now id have asked them what they'd just taken. Its becoming a train wreck. Thankfully my faith keeps me sane.

Make sure you set goals based on your expectations in your life and not someone else's.
Achieving goals requires a lot of effort and time. You will be able to stay on track if you're driven by real desire.
You have to be true to yourself and what you really want out of life. Before taking on a big goal, ask yourself, "Is this something I actually want to do?" Stay focused on what you know is best for you.

I wrote to you yesterday about my concerns around protecting my family during these unusual and unprecedented times. And I’ve found a helpful resource to share with you because you need to protect your loved ones as well.
