Here in Victoria yesterday, I dont want to report this badly for the persons sake like a "see, see" but a nurse, double vaxxed, middle aged died from covid. The news tried to show it as "look, even a nurse died, get vaxxed!" They were silent on the fact she had been double vaxxed for a couple of months. Sad, very sad she died, but shame on them using her death as a call to get vaxxed

Working out in a gym provides an easy way to keep fit and for many, improves commitment to a fitness regime. However, have you ever considered with all that huffing and puffing going on, how good the air quality is at your gym?

A recent study by the University of Colorado Boulder reveals that all that sweat and breath emits not just CO2, but it actually produces other chemicals. In fact, those emissions are up to five times more potent than the human emissions of a single sedentary person.

*-- Foot Care Tips --*

At an absolute, bare minimum, feet should be clean. I mean, you walk on them, don't you? What if you were stuffed into a leather shoe all day, strolling through parking lots, jogging in parks, shopping, doing laundry, tapping impatiently in line at the bank. Feet suffer from lack of air, from shoes that don't breathe, from sweaty conditions on hot summer asphalt. Daily scrubbing with soap and a nail brush is a good start, but it's only a start.

When it comes to toenails, there is no in-between. Clean, healthy, well-groomed toenails are just simply more appealing. Grubby, long, unhealthy toenails are nasty. Toenails should be well-brushed with soapy water, clipped short and neat with clippers, and treated with anti-fungal medicine if nails are discolored, thick or peeling.

Even girls can get athlete's foot (always wear flip-flops at the gym, at the pool, at the park, in any shower that is not your very own), and there topical medicines that can cure it. (If you don't know what athlete's foot is, it's a fungus that causes feet to burn, itch and peel).

Assuming your feet are clean and healthy, the step to beauty is a short one. Keep your feet smooth by using a pumice stone a couple of times a week, rub them with lotion like Upper Canada Peppermint Foot Cream to keep them soft, and use a clear polish if you don't like brightly colored toes.

No one talks about it (except in women's studies class), but women grow hair on their toes. If your toes are fuzzy, you can wax them to add to overall foot smoothness. Get a pedicure for that professional polish, but don't let them cut your cuticles, whose sole purpose in life is to keep your feet safe from infections.

A new approach to healthcare: Lifestyle Medicine

The 7 Pillars of Lifestyle Medicine


While classified as a holistic approach, the theory of lifestyle medicine is a practice most medical professionals can get behind; the concept of balance in seven core areas of life. Lifestyle medicine focuses on the seven habits for a healthy life, and those habits contribute to reduced risks of chronic conditions.



1. Exercise


Movement or physical activity is vital to lifestyle medicine. A sedentary lifestyle can lead to many complications, including cardiovascular. By practicing at least 150 minutes of moderate exercise a week, you can find it easier to maintain or control your weight, strengthen muscles and bones, and promote mental wellbeing.



2. Nutrition


The dreaded nutrition pillar can seem problematic. Many people look at nutrition like rocket science, something complex and hard to grasp, but it is not as challenging as it looks. On a fundamental level, making a few minor adjustments to your diet can drastically improve your health. For example, eat out less than twice per week and swap a can of soda for water. Additionally, add more fruits and vegetables to your diet.



3. Outdoor Activity


The outdoors is nature’s gift to humanity. Spending even 30 minutes outside can increase your well-being. According to lifestyle medicine experts, you should spend a minimum of 120 minutes outside every week. Exposure to the outdoors is proven to reduce stress, limit inflammation, and improve sleep.



4. Sleep


Most adults know they need between seven and eight hours of sleep per night, but few get it. Many things affect your sleep, from noise to stress and diet. Lifestyle medicine highlights sleep as critical to overall health. To get a better night’s rest, consider sleeping in a quiet environment without tech or television. Additionally, avoid eating too late and do not consume caffeine after midday.



5. Emotional Wellbeing


Stress relief is vital to mental and physical health. Anxiety, worry, and fear all lead to problems with sleep, diet, and relationships. Finding a way to deal with stress is necessary and pivotal to lifestyle medicine. Practicing mindfulness is one way to combat the effects of stress.



6. Hydration


Dehydration leads to a variety of health issues: headaches, fatigue, dizziness, etc. While the rule is often stated as eight glasses of water per day, the Mayo Clinic would disagree. According to the clinic, men need a minimum of 15 cups of water per day and women need at least 11.



7. Substance Avoidance


Lifestyle medicine also encourages a substance-free life, meaning no smoking or drugs. Cigarettes, alcohol, and other substances can lead to significant consequences and impaired thinking. Lifestyle medicine is all about clarity and purity.



New Focus Equals New Hope


While people understand the benefits of adopting healthy habits, they often overcomplicate the process, getting bogged down in the details. By restricting your attention to the above seven areas, you can increase your health and mental wellbeing in stages. There is no need to embrace all the habits at once; instead, take on one practice at a time and master it. By working methodically, you limit the potential of becoming overwhelmed, allowing you to embrace the changes.

We all feel taken advantage of sometimes, Jimi.​

Maybe your last restaurant meal was mediocre. Or a friend is taking you for granted or a neighbor is constantly asking for favors. Feeling taken advantage of often brings about a feeling of injustice. For me, it also comes with a sense of resentment.
Chances are, at some point in your life, you’ve been taken advantage of by someone you trusted. In the end, we can’t control others’ behavior, but we can control our own. We do have power over our own choices. I have found these strategies helpful when I sense I am getting pulled into some unwanted drama. I hope you do too.
Distance yourself from people who have abused your kindness. If someone has taken advantage of your goodwill before, reduce contact or cut them out of your life.
Give what you are ready to give. Be there for others and give them what you can and are willing to give. That way, it doesn’t matter if they “take advantage of you.” Whatever you have given would be something you were ready to freely give.
Surround yourself with good people. As you uncover worthwhile friends in your life’s journey, keep them close to you. Treasure them and love them and tell them so. Even if you do get hurt by others along the way, your true friends will be there to catch you when you fall.
Forgive, don’t forget. Simply be mindful of the past. Make conscious choices based on past and present experiences. If someone has hurt you before and wants to be let back in your life, consider first if anything has changed. Make sure the original problem areas were worked on before reconnecting.
No one likes to feel taken advantage of. The good news is that there are steps you can take to avoid feeling like a doormat.

Gyms are filthy places. Id never go to one these days. Did when I was young though. Had tinea three times in my life and each time I got it from a gym.

That nurse I spoke with the other day at the pathology lab about vaccinations, she got the sack 2 days later.

How very right you are my friend, they say, but it doesn't matter if it works or not as long as everyone does it:tantrum:. Why can't everyone smell a rat here, they even went as far as to have vaccine lotteries to entice some of the sheeple, just insane.

What was the mantra we kept hearing "get your shot to keep you and everyone else safe!"
Mmm, that worked well didn't it!
How very true, the vax doesn't even keep you from gettin the regular corona. So now they are using the saying "If you get the vax if you do get the omicron strain it won't be as bad". Well the omicron strain, from what I have heard and read is no more than a mild form of flu, milder than the regular strains around. But it does work to scare some more of the sheeple into takin the jab. This whole thing is insanity.:tantrum::mad:
