I think that you should be provided free gear to review, and have your own You tube channel, but that is something that you have to make happen.

I pulled apart my Griffin and Aromamizer before posting above stuck them up against each other, and what I stated is true. "Tiny" is subjective and in the eye of the beholder.

You are right that the Posts arent too far apart (2mm less then Griffin) but the Chamber is much larger, this is why it holds larger coils.

That center pin can be replaced with one from a velocity, phenotype and many other 2 post rda's with adjustable pins

Update... I broke the base apart to take the pin out, the top adjusting pin is one piece with that 6mm hex nut, so the only way to take it out was to brake it apart.

now... any sources of spare parts? I searched but I didn't find any
That top right thingy needs to be replaced...

cheers

Replacement 510 Pin should be your title and then explain with a picture of it in the description, also imply that the Griffin is no longer usable until you have a replacement.

So I happened upon a pretty good Griffin wicking video on YouTube. The wicking part starts at 10:41

Took my broken Griffin apart today without breaking anything. My juice control ring was rotating freely and a seal between the juice ring and air control ring had fallen out in 3 or more pieces.
I took a small flat screwdriver and put it in the gap I had between the juice ring and air control ring and carefully prised the pieces apart.

IMG_0846.JPG

The seal you see on top of the air control ring/base is not there by default, this is where the original seal that broke on me was (it was a clear seal). I am hoping I can use this black one to replace it.

IMG_0844.jpg

This is it fully disassembled. The press fit isn't as tight as it should, which is probably the issue with this copy to begin with. I may dimple the mating parts a little to create tension between the mating faces. If this all works out or not is of no consequence to me because I have already bought a replacement, but if this helps anybody out then great. If there's anything you guys want me to do/try/show or take pics of before I put it all back together again, then just ask.

Neil.

I have the same issue on one of my Griffins and was going to try this today and see if I could get it tighter like the others I have, hope it works out for you!

By replacement do you mean the whole griffin or replacement parts?

I got myself a new griffin today, the chimney is a bit narrower than my old one... I checked the serial and it is authentic.
anybody had this?

Thats the first time time ive seen that...the authenticity codes only prove its authentic if the same code wasnt entered before...if clone makers change the numbers then it could very well still pass, or pass untill that same code is entered a second time...
Did it come with Red orings? How much of a difference is between the old one and new one? What color is your old one and new one?

both are black, none of them had red orings, the orings that touch the glass are transparent and there are some green spare ones, all other ones including the spares are black, I just used the new base with my old tank... also the juice control and air control are quite tighter than the old one, maybe that's why my old one had that weeping issue above the air control ring...
The only difference is that the grub screws in the new one are black, the old one had SS ones

the difference is not visible by naked eye, but a set of 6 wrap 3.5 ID fused claptons could fit in the old chamber (even with 7 wraps I had no problem), with the new one, with 6 wraps, the coils touch the chimney...

I will post some pics when I can

Could be a revision...some tanks kept untwisting the juice ring off with taking the tank off and the first one you had was a newer version and the one you just got was the older version, I really cant say though..

Update, got myself a vernier caliper... the chimneys have exactly the same size...
So... wtf?

After all the problem was the glass, it had an iffy shape at the finish, and that caused the chimney not to be 100% parallel with the glass... and it was touching the coils... changed that and problem fixed.

I took mine apart and installed a oversize Oring as my AFC ring and the Juice Control Ring could both spin easily and the JC Ring shouldnt spin like that...I used a wrench to keep the base completely stood up straight and hit the wrench jaw with a hammer. One blow and it was popped in tight and now its perfect....The thing is I broke the glass this morning and my glass from Fasttech is almost here...I also removed the AFC Ring to see if it increases airflow (just a test)...We will see when the glass comes whether it helps or not...Stay Tuned.

20160229_122801.jpg 20160229_122936.jpg 20160229_122854.jpg
You can see the Oversized Oring being sandwich (right where the AFC Ring would Meet the JC Ring). That Oring makes it so the Juice Control is LOCKED wide open and can only be closed off when unscrewing the tank now, when I screw the Tank down all the way the holes are perfectly set!

Nice info there!
What kind of glass and where could it help?
I am waiting for a smoked glass as well, it should match my black Griffin just fine...

I was saving my Griffin until my wire arrived .....but it hasn't ....the Griffin kept calling to me. So I gave in, made some fused claptons, threw them in (0.2Ω) and made a discovery. Juice don't last long in a Griffin because you can easily vape a full tank in ten minutes. Worked flawlessly, great vape zero problems. :D

I think I made a mistake buying this tank.

I've done one build regular nothing fancy .32. The cotton seems to last longer than on my dripper. So whats the problem? The flavor is so good I keep hitting this thing, I'm going through juice like crazy.

I think I might start playing with claptons in a while.

So my temp wick job was dying. Coil was all gunked up. Burned it clean. Wicked it like has been said. Cut it to the deck. Less than I was comfortable with. Hits great. Lots of dense vapor, no leaking. I think I can get a touch more. My wick might be a hair too tight in the coil. Loosening that up has given better results before. But right now, it's hitting better than my VCMT.

I did a review/comparison on the 5ml and the 2.5ml HERE...and the Clone is just as nice as the Authentics and can be had for $8-$13....Just amazing in quality, performance and even better on price ;)

The 3.5 ml is the only real draw back. Make it 25mm and it would be brilliant.

5ml? Tell me more :)

Have one on order :)
Im also in Collaboration with Augvape and they are in the CAD stage for the Raymo RTA (Leon gave it that name ;)). Hopefully the prototype will be ready by next Friday...
How do these features sound?
My RTA specs are:
25mm wide RTA (roughly the size of the VCMT in height)
Will hold 5-7ml's of Juice (depending on how Chamber is done)
20mm 2 post build deck
Juice ports that drain downwards towards wicking (every drop gets used)
Griffin style top fill openings, Top unscrews in 3-4 turns
Real Juice control
6mm chimney ID with domed chamber top
Some knurling On every band/level
Tank can be removed filled with Juice
Swapable posts style options
Delrin Concave drip tip and a SS 510 DT adapter
Airflow Rings may be swapable for different varieties of intake
Airflow will be Cyclonic openings 2mm x 10mm
Air travels in and hits the coils at a 45 degree angle then straight to you mouth.
Adjustable 510 Pin
Colors will be Black, SS, RED/SS
Positive and Negative Posts will have swappable options and Airflow will also have options you can choose yourself.

Make sure its the 5ml in the picture when ordering it ;)
Where do you find the 5ml version? I can't see one anywhere (checked the usual places including vapecrawler and ebay)

Oh, the Raymo RTA sounds pretty good!

Every vendor selling the clone only seem to use the 2.5ml spec sheet, the picture is how you pick which you get. If it has a chimney at all and the drip tip is flat and pointy on top its the 5ml, the 2.5ml has no chimney and the drip tip is rounded at the top.

Ok did a build with clapton I'm shooting for .2 ohms. This build if you follow the wires out and count including the ones coming in and out you get 5 wraps. It at
.27 ohms what would the best way to get that closer to .2?
