So if ya burn that stuff, you need a chimney. So how else would it keep you warm? Do you just snuggle it?
I think they just let it catch on fire while cooking on the propane gas range, then let the blubber keep burning, just need some heat shields near or on the ceiling.

But from the looks of things, I'd have to trade my cows for walruses... what kind of milk do they give? o_O

Also, note that none of those buildings have chimneys and I see no 500-gallons propane tanks, so what do they heat with?

Obviously heated by Photoshop :teehee:

How was your day, Rich....besides COLD?
Uh... COLD. It is all the way UP to -3 at the moment and supposed to be the HIGH of the week tomorrow at +15. I am praying I can get the bobcat started tomorrow because I have a few hundred tons of snow to move (2 and 3-ft drifts blocking passage to where I need to get a truck into next week).

Well, if they photoshopped the chimneys off all those little houses, I also don't see any trees in the area to use as firewood.

The whole thing looks photoshopped to me - even without chimneys, you still have to have vents, even in arctic conditions

I'm going to Vegas in the morning. If I happen to win a Bobcat, I'll have it shipped to you......:teehee:

I was wondering if it was a mining town where all the buildings were heated by piping from a central facility. They obviously have a central electric generator because there are no power lines.

We went the summer before to Ceasars Buffet - possibly the biggest collection of fake fake food I ever saw in my life - it was terrible - even the salad stuff was raunched out with some kind of spray or something

Unbelievably terrible

The steakhouse at New York, New York was fantastic

The uniformity of color of the buildings, blue sky with aurora, lack of visible utilities, tells me it's seriously photoshopped, wherever it is

Very few places in Alaska have piped gas, even fewer have buried power - especially on a spit like that

It's also very difficult to actually capture the aurora with ambient light shown in the photo

Looks like elements of SE Alaska, but not very authentic, it's been worked over a lot

Can't say I've ever seen buildings on piers on the shoreline without an actual harbor and docks for canneries or other fish processing facilities to unload fish from tenders

That wasn't there yet when I was there, and I thought the cheapo stuff I had was great, but that video makes it look better than ever.

Yes

We didn't like it - and I went with people who could care less about their health and what they eat ever. There was certainly a lot of it, but it was a terrible disappointment

Ah, so the whole thing is likely faked. Oh well, it was cute while the fantasy lasted...

Never got to that one - you can give us a report :)

Hahahhaha..............:giggle::giggle:

You know if you take seriously big eaters like my family to a buffet and even they are stunned at the poor quality - shame because the spreads look amazing, like out of a magazine or something

Have you tried Excalibur? Again, haven't been there in about 30 years, so I am no good source for current fare, but once upon a time...
(and back then, I am afraid I was rather like Juice's relatives)

I was like them for most of my life, lol

When my brother doesn't like it, you can be assured it is genuinely garbage :giggle:

Well, have lots of fun. And if you happen to drop a quarter in the slots and win a Bobcat... ;)

Anyway, time to put my antique ass in bed. Gonna be a long day tomorrow...

Never had any desire to go to Vegas...
Must be anti American?

Went to Reno once long ago when I lived in Orygun.
Not impressed.

Most

That go say they have a lot of fun.

I heard that the Southern Baptist convention there was a blast

Plenty of hookers to go around - last trip had a drug dealer hand me a business card, lol

Don't enjoy gambling but tons of other amusing shit all around

Wagered $1 on my first trip, and dropped $20 at the airport going home the second trip, mainly because I got bored in the smoking lounge and had ended up way under budget on the trip

I have been to Vegas only three or four times (each time was "just passing through" and I spent a night there) and Reno and South Lake Tahoe dozens of times (because who I was with at the time wanted to go there). I found Vegas slightly more amusing than Reno (better showmanship), but basically, I do not enjoy gambling and the floor shows can either be slightly entertaining or completely boring, so, to me, they are not worth it. As the piggy I used to be, the 99-cent buffets were always something to enjoy, but by themselves are hardly worth going to those locations just for that. South Lake Tahoe allowed me to visit the Bonanza movie sets, take lots of photos of a neat lake, and climb some rocks. Other than that, I see no reason to ever go back there again either. I am an explorer, but not subject to mindless supposed entertainment.
