Drying off a lot where we are now. Bushfire seasons upon us. Is one right now well north of us at the Vic NSW border. Hopefully they are not getting the winds we are, right now gusting to 100kph.
This is just 500 meters from our place. 4 foot deep dry grass.
Some bullrushes at the dam behind our place.
A Paper bark tree in bloom next to the dam. The bark off them has a powdery stuff on them that the Aboriginals use as antiseptic. They wrap the bark around a wound. Its proven very effective too.
Whats our bush without Ants. These guys dont sting though, just nip and its over with real quick. They always have that sandy gravel on their mounds so you cant miss them. They're harmless really.

Last night sunset here from our back balcony. Was a true what you saw is what you got. Red was from some farmland burns offs of harvested crop stubble. We have had some bumper crops in our region this season from great spring rains. Grains and stockfeeds.
Bit of smoke around here and there, thankfully have an air purifier, but the trade off is awesome sunsets overlooking the town and bush.

We are in a heat wave here right now. Today was supposed to be 39c where we are. Thankfully we had some cloud cover and it didn't make that and only got to 35c.
Oppressive though as we had no wind and high humidity. But as the sun set I expected a show. Didn't happen as I sat on the balcony as it went dark. Misses crashed out early.
But had a great chat with our elderly lady neighbor who also was out hoping to see another awesome Central Vic sunset. We chatted for over an hour, lovely person who just retired from working with disabled people. We sat and waited into the dark but even though no pinks tonight it was such a great time. Last 2 nights were Pink clouds and just amazing.
Here's tonights, but was no disappointment, was a great time.
Here is the last two and why we sat out..

Parrots are all happy after the rain. They're everywhere today.

Watched a few games here when the Steelers would play the Chargers... site is now going to be home of San Diego State University and gentrification project to included possible future for an expansion team (doubtful) and MLS team (double Doubtful) either way it was not really being used ever since the Chargers moved to Los Angeles

I'm seeing almost the same problem. My pic will load up. When it finishes loading I see a blank gray screen with a trash can.
Maybe image file too large ? 1.25mb.

When I click onto attach file- I see my pics on my computer and right mouse click to copy and then paste here is the only way I can get the picture to show- I am on a PC and using Foxfire. If I do it the old way I get an empty garbage can with numbers

You usually dont see crowds there but after lockdown was over the shorline was packed.
We went to the spillway area for a fish where it was near deserted. They dont go there much now as they close the area down early these days 4.30 pm due to drunken parties and hoons. Suits me as you can get to have a quiet fish. Didnt do any good but was nice to go there.
Beautiful grassed and shaded area and nobody there bar the couple from that white car who were walking along the sand. Cant party hard here so its deserted.
I like it.

I honestly thought it was a little kid or baby with a stuffed fish toy and a pet (not animal) name we give loved ones with what you called her.
I cracked up when I saw it was a Cat!

She won't be 3 until Sept. 2021....just don't tell her that....she already thinks she ownz the place.
