Though with scenery like that I get going numb and just going into chill mode.

The picture is from "The Fish Market - San Diego" Looking at North Island or North San Diego Bay... Literally a 1 minute walk to the USS Midway
The circled in red area is where I will be for the 4th of July. Hotel Room with Bay view, get to watch Big Bay Boom up front and without the 1m+ people packed into the marinas etc...
Baby sis and her family are coming down... figured we'd get the room... so the fam can hang out post-pandemic shut down (We fully reopen June 15th) and then drive home after and let her and her family stay (our dogs)
We reserved the hotel exactly 1 day less than the max 6 months for future reservation limits lol

They're amazing birds those. I watched a doco on them once. Amazing! How fast they flap those wings and their heartbeats is incredible, up to and just over 1200 hb per minute. Hard to imagine really. They must be awesome to see.Was surprised I was able to get one but when I saw two... WOW

We lots of birds of prey where I am, wedge tail eagles, falcons, hawks.
And these guys Tawny Frogmouths. Also a bird of prey. Took this out detecting one day. They didn't budge for the whole time I was there. Couple of hours. Masters of disguise.

Perfect day here so went out.
Sheep on the way were doing their sheep stuff.
Drive in was great.
Found a couple of lime green cocoons. Not certain on what was in them as iv never found this type before.

South Africa, Kruger National Park. This guy was standing in the middle of the road and looking at us for maybe 25 minutes. We could't drive))) Stubborn one.

Though some bulldog ants nearby were worse and swarmed out of the nest at me when I scraped the ground with my boot after hearing a signal. I left it there whatever it was.

Drove up to the doctors office and a Purple Martin landed on the sign. I had to get out and go in to ask if we were at the correct side of the building. The bird stayed as I walked by him. Came back out to help my Guy get out of the vehicle and the bird was still there. He
