I couldn't get the 40g around the 36g without breaking the 36 a couple inches in. So I quit and made some quick aliens, 28/36 staged with 28(?). I wish I had some larger gauge nichrome.

Also, loving the Griffin. Having an issue with it jumping ohms but I believe it's a lead not clipped clean enough. Meh. I don't want to take it apart do deal with it.
Other than that, the flavor is dare I say better than my velocity - maybe that's due to the aliens - and the cloud production is similar. Fantastic purchase, thanks to ray

I ran it one slot open on both sides at an angle to the coil. It's not that great of a vape tbh, but it coloured nicely and I think it's pretty.
I already pulled it out after using for a few days and put in my alien fraples again.

More or less hit the nail on the head. On staggered cores it's a bit trickier, but I found gently wrapping around 10 wraps diagonal to the wires allows me to do the same without it getting caught in the gaps. Now will somebody please for the love of Cthulu tell me the magic trick to straighten ribbon wire. I've pulled which made it "straighter"...but it is still a royal pain in the ass getting them to stay flush with eachother.

Twist opposite directions and put in Parallel and you can make a 'zipper coil" which looks cool. Just a heads up, either way I'm sure it vaped nicely, can't express my love for simple twisted builds, so quick and easy yet such a jump in quality.Twisted 28 parallels. .23 ohmsloppy but this happened

I stretch it just like straightening high gauge wire. Cut it to length and use two pairs of pliers to pull the ribbon until it gives. Then trim ends to get rid of any deformities and shure them up. Then lightly wet them with some juice and bind away.

Hey, thanks to everyone here in this particular thread for allowing me to further improve my building skills and create an alien wire. I started vaping a little over a year ago, and always saw awesome builds online and thought "man I wanna build that!"
When I made my first clapton, and my first fused clapton I was stoked. This alien was a huge learning curve to me. Moving to swivels has been a night and day change, and I'm so stoked to have it in the books as something I can do when I sit down to build.

Quick update on the Griffin tank issue. Replacement base fixed the problem! Now it is fully rocking out!
I had some left over staple wire made and coiled it. This little guy (6x.4 nichrome wrapped in 40k) came out to .25 in the Subtank mini rba. I haven't wicked it yet. I was thinking about putting this into the wife's subtank instead of a stock coil to see what she says. Might hold off though. Don't need to spoil her with her getting into vaping more than a basic ecig... yet that is.

Just got my Black Griffin #2 and a Black Diablo RTA in today. I just through some Staples? in it and it pretty damn good. The Diablo has about 2/3's the usable build room the Griffin has and its airflow is WIDE OPEN and nonadjustable but its easy to wick and topfill. Its flavor profile is intense and vapor is dense and I think its all due to how short it is...

Griffin's #1 still but the Diablo so far is still worth buying, think of it as a perfect Goblin Mini, its slightly taller then the GM but its much easier to build on, more room, much more airflow, and top fill. The Clone is $13 and it looks like its the exact same but until I get one I can say it is or not yet...

Vapeing on some fresh coils in the alliance. Nothing special really. 28k x4 /28k wrap. 6 wraps 3mm id dual. Its a nice vape. It really likes power tho.

Try some Turtle Polish from the Car Aisle and make sure you use a toothbrush for cleaning it off afterwards...

2VapedX has them in still, you can ask for the black one as its not listed but they will provide you one if you ask (if still in stock).
The only other place I know of is for the clones and I havent received the clone in yet to compare them.
Im happy and sad. On one hand these coils look absolutly amazing, on the ither i dont have a mod thst can fire a .08 build.... i really dont want to run this as a single eaither.... idk.

If you'd like to fuss around with them a bit, I'd take out the staging wire.
If you take out the staging wire you'd have a single coil around .31 ohms, duals clocking in around .155

It's been a minute since I've had time to build anything. My wife had a grand mal seizure a week ago; before and since life has been pretty hectic, but she's pretty well better now. She's back to college today, it's my day off and regardless of my roster of chores and auto repair, I needed to remedy the gunk in my rda, so I used some cuttings from previous builds and put this together. Y'all can go back if you like to my previous posts to verify the accuracy of these wires composition but if my memory serves me...
Staggered center core alien: 26n80 framed in 24n80 staggered and alien in 36n80, 2 wraps...
Staggered Clapton variation: (4x32n80 claptoned in .5 ribbon kA1)x2 for the inner cores framed in 26n80 or 28kA1, I don't remember, staggered and claptoned w/ 36n80, 1 wrap...
2.5mm id...

Not the prettiest, again they're scraps but damnit if they don't perform.
Wicks like nobody's business, 0 ramp time...Not a fruity juice guy but this pina colada flavored tiki warrior juice from clouddropz on this coil tastes like I just took a bite off a fresh pinapple and washed it down with coconut milk. Cloud production is outstanding...2 3-second hits had a weather system going on in my front room. It's setups like this with such wide wire where the aeronaut shines.

In my opinion it vaped beautifully, i love the flavor i got out it for sure and nice cloud production out of a single build.
Its also a breeze to wick, soaks up the juice nicely
Also its reading at .12ohm, Here the spec 28g core, 32g as the clapton and paralleled with some 22g all Kanthal
