How much power for a 4 and 5 wrap, that's a lot of wire in that bitch.....

I wouldnt use it on a regulated mod, for many boxes it would be at the mods limits just to power it. Most of the time the regulated mods are limited in wattage for what the resistances are for these types of coils, thats why many of us prefer mechs...the triple parallel mechs or bigger.

I'm interested in resistance on the builds you post..

Any chance that could be included in specs?

And you have to have a +20 Bay charger and 100s of batterys (or some reasonable number)

I've been waiting for someone to make a regulated mod that worked with a capacitor to increase max amps

That would just be a buck converter. Lots of wraps on one side of a choke (say 10) and few on the other (1) would decrease the voltage but increase the amperage. In this case by 10. A capacitor just stores power and lets it go in an instant, like a camera flash. Just a xeon bulb and a cap with a power source.

DNA and FSK chips can do good on low ohm builds. FSK has a 45a limit iirc.
Still, a good mech would be better for some builds. The problem is that real mechs are stupid expensive. Not clones, real ones with 200a rated switches. Fire 0.05ohm on a triple parallel clone...lol.

I just barely bought a Crimper a few days ago.. jumped right into a build and had a really hard time time stacking them as well. Finally got them stacked and then my ribbon flipped when wrapping FML..

Quick question. What are those crimping tools called that crimp the ribbon wire? I can't find one for the life of me.

I was looking for one on the internet and my wife saw it.. said they might have it at a Craft Store she goes to (Jo-Ans) and Wa-La,, she came home with this. It was in the Scrap Booking aisle.

Edit: it's called a paper crimper/corrugator

I found something similar on eBay. It's plastic and pink but it was dirt cheap. Think it works out to about a dollar. I'll try that first if it breaks I'll get down the craft shop

You've gotta use .3 and .4 Ribbon for most of these builds, .5 Ribbon and bigger is for framed staples and cat tracks!

Thanks. I think was using .4 or .5 when corrugating. I'll make sure to use .4 or lower next time, but I just really need more practice :/ Those frames above are .6 with 26 gauge and they were a breeze compared to messing with a corrugated Staple helix LOL!

I've been running a single coil in the old mutation mt for at work, so the gta is pretty appealing. I guess I don't use good retailers but I can't for the life of me find the merlin mini for sale besides ft. And the augvape site isn't very good

Cool. I'm loving my limitless even though I think they could have been much better.
I hope they make something awesome.

My first complete DIY build
Twisted 3 strands 26 guage: 2 Kanthal, 1 Ni80
6 wraps, 3.0mm inside diameter
2 coils = .15ohm

Hits real nice between 85 - 115 watts. with 96% VG juice @ 115 on a Buddha RDA I get a nice warm, tasty cloud.

Does any one know if you can cut stacks of ribbon without messing it up?
I'm thinking tin snips might work.
Right now I'm just using small scissors to cut one piece at a time but I'd like to be able to trim an entire stack at once.

Dont cheap out with cutters...you will end up replacing them almost every few days if you build often. I have some Lindstrom Cutters that are almost 4 months old and bhave cut countless staggertons, ssfc's, aliens and so forth and still cut ribbon like they are new.
Most flush cutters will cut great for about a week and then they wont cut ribbon easily anymore and then need to be replaced.
With a good pair of cutters you can cut ribbon holding its edges and it wont twist it, it wont distort or warp the ribbon....just straight through.

Lindstrom Cutters LINK

Remember these are 4 months old and you've seen all the builds on my instagram and here, not to mention the 1000's of aliens Ive cut for advancedvapesupply....
