They take a long time to make but I find the process therapeutic. Try it out yup, it does haha! I didn't have enough time for a glow shot on this because by the time I finished making the braids, I had to be up in 3 hours and I haven't even photographed the damn thing yet

My fatty. Didn't fit the post holes. If I had done a 10ply it would have been perfect.

Yeah. I actually have to cram wick to plug the holes so it doesn't wick too fast and spit. I use rayon though. I'm not sure how cotton would act.

I'm too scared to use rayon
What is there to be scared of? It burns at 800f and if there was anything toxic they couldn't use it for tampons (I use kotex U) It would go right to the blood stream...and much more efficiently than inhaling a vapor off of it. After the coils have gunked up it still looks brand new so it doesn't break down like cotton does. It holds so much liquid you can't really dry hit it. Even after my tank is empty I still have 10 good hits before the flavor goes light and 10 more before it looks dry.

I do. Most use Cellucotton. It's easier to learn with...and it's cheaper but they don't sell it at walmart so I use tampoons. Lol.
It's wierd at first because it goes against everything you learned with cotton.

all my builds gunk up fast, so I just clean and cotton daily
I make my own juice and overpower my builds by 25% so theres a faster ramp and cool down. Your coils gunk up due to sucralose and other additives and the coils remaining hot after you vape.
I used to rewick daily, now it's weekly or longer.

Yeah, don't you intentionally dry burn it?

And I was thinking silica, it's fucking guys up in the oilfield, just airborne silica sand particuls. I doubt vaping it is okay...
Rayon is just science cotton right?

Okay so just messed with a 3 core (26g) alien with some leftover 36decor (wrapped on 28g) it collapsed (didn't use ribbon sliders or magnets, tried some paperclips) besides collapsing, it did not seem like the decor was the correct size for 3x26 core?

I usually make my juice, but was given alot of free juice and need vg so I have been taking advantage of it. Come to think of it before I went on hiatus, I do not think they gunked up as fast

Yeah, they mix some acid with the pulp and it makes little fibers I think. There's more to it but that's the jist...gist...?

Too small. 3x wider is roughly what you need. 24g or 26g for 3x 26g.
If you use the right sizes and stretch it won't triangle. Ribbon sliders are for holding ribbon between frames. You were right to use paperclips...I use them on everything.

Alright, that's what seemed to be the issue. I wasn't sure if the formula was different from the 2 core to the 3 core. I'm not tinkering again until Saturday. Got some sinus infection from a coworker so I'm not quite up to it. But I had about a foot of decor sitting there and had to try.
Might just have to have my wife get some kotex u this weekend lol

Im giddy... my SS petri rta comes tomorrow... Im about to try building some little alien framed staples for it :)
I'm glad for you. I love dotmod stuff.
Using 28g frames:
6 ply = 26g decore
8 ply = 25g decore (24g might work)
10 ply = 24g decore

Tom Forde gave me this list a while ago and I've used it since.

Damn! Some of you guys have really been advancing like crazy lately! And the usuals are still killing it and pushing the envelope on the daily. I've been saving all your guys tips and tricks for when I get my new vape station setup in the basement. I haven't built anything besides naked wire builds in a while now. Been hard to find time to spin wire with the baby in the house, and its far too cold for me to be back outside building for any length of time like I was this summer. Im itching to get the drill out and start pushing myself to get Aliens down well, and then start getting advanced from there.

Been cleaning up the basement after the previous tenant moved out of the downstairs apartment in our building, and we took over. They left an absolute mess down there, but they also left a metal work bench with a ton of shelving and storage attached to the back of it that would be perfect for storing all of my vape stuff, as well to setup a nice coil building station. Trying to clean the whole area up before I bring anything down there that is vape related, and painting the work bench so that I have a fresh surface to work off of.

Im not sure if Im supposed to be sharing this yet but I was sent it to expose it as its the first look for anyone on this RDTA yet. Augvape Merlin RDTA prototype, its looks like the limitless but the look and airflow style is all it shares with it.

Posts are large but not overly bulky, wide squarish post holes...like the tsunami. You wick it like the Boreas or Aromizer Supreme. It has a wide open tank at the bottom that dispenses juice through 1.3mm holes in the deck where the wicks would be located. I was worried at first but after wicking it and using it it has shown that its a good design, no leaking..

This thing is sexy as hell IMO..
Its got some 3x28TM316L/42TM316L Aliens with Staged Heating

Thats exactly what I mean when I say the Limitless could have been done much better. I love that thing.
Especially the "S" bling. Looks like they used m3.5 screws too...ones that match.

How's the top cap? I'm fine with derlin so long as it's not cheap and shitty...

I like the wicking too. I bet guys that use cotton with the Limitless have a hard time keeping it from leaking.

Even the post thickness is nice. I'm not sure if having 1mm of extra contact equates to less drop but I'll take what I can get.

Edit:
They should ditch the seperate post holes all together and do it like a Kennedy or Petri with one top screw so I can keep my legs flat. Just my $0.02.

It's a 3mm internal diameter. .8 ohms. Was shooting for somewhere in there. I imagine the longer it is, the more surface area in contact with the cotton...and more vapor right
