Slow. I had to get a drill just for SSFCs. My AC drill has no gear selection and very little trigger sensitivity. When fusing do you slow or relatively fast? Also do you keep the fusing wire on the spool or do you cut a long length so you can keep less tension on the core? Thanks!

I'm working off the spool but I'm not holding it very tight. Just tight enough to prevent an overlap.
Try those sexy beasts in a G24 Seminole/Goon and only use 3/4 wide open or 2 Holes for the Goon and use it on a triple parallel...its one of my favorite vapes to date....on the G2 there is some ramp up time since you cant fire them at peak wattage which is why Im waiting for the 3S/4S hohm boxes...The triple parallel Boxes how ever will fire it without any ramp up and to be honest its one of the best experiences for flavor/vapor IMO...though for some it may be just a bit too warmSo I tried the Mind_Forge technique and it works quite well - even with the drill wide open. I've only been able to free hand spaced Claptons before, because I just couldn't get any other way to work for some reason. At any rate, I made a set of staggered framed staples. They came out not so great, but I kept on rushing it to see how fast I could go with the drill. I guess I'm gonna need some more practice. I also have to say, I'm not a huge fan of the vape quality of these heavy metal, dense builds. It actually seems like I'm trading the flavor quality for clouds. Although I do like the cloud aspect of vaping, I guess I'm really more of a flavor chaser.

Come tax time I gotta get a triple and 6 more batteries.
Idk never had one.
This is the one I'll probably get though:

That's not a mech.
It's a junk "unregulated" mod.
If it has a cut off of 0.15ohm it's totally worthless.
You need a fully mechanical switch to be a mech.
Third!I can't find that video you posted that showed me the clip method. It does take some practice though.
Can you show me how to use a spool tamer? They won't be here till Monday probably.
Idk never had one.

holy shit bud! Next time use 36g/38g!! Did you heat it up yet???View attachment 69217 my very first staggered fused Clapton
Used weighted loop I made with a paperclip and fishing weights .
24g kanthal core staggered with 26 ss316l and fused with 36g nichrome 80 lol
Same hereIdk never had one.

Nope didn't even throw it in .. it's just practice for when my 34g comes in gonna do 26g n80core 34g n80 staggered fused with 36g n80holy shit bud! Next time use 36g/38g!! Did you heat it up yet???
If you want help with spool tamers I have a little picture tutorial I can send you that I made for someone else, are you using a spool tamer to stagger or to clapton.Third!
Yes please! Would email or Instagram work better? If you want help with spool tamers I have a little picture tutorial I can send you that I made for someone else, are you using a spool tamer to stagger or to clapton.

Do 26/36/36Nope didn't even throw it in .. it's just practice for when my 34g comes in gonna do 26g n80core 34g n80 staggered fused with 36g n80
I practiced with mine yesterday I could get it to repeat but I thought I was wrong because I needed to guide it. It takes some fiddling with. Thanks. This was the tutorial I posted a while ago for the Spool Tamer Staggering Method: LINK

Try a 26g decore over 2x 24g using 34g or 36g. 32g is very stiff.Gotta post my first (barely) serviceable alien coil. So proud of myself. Finally out of the kiddie pool, but still in the shallow end.
Admittedly, this is the only useable segment of a highly unuseable length of wire. But, it was after something clicked with the manufacture of aliens. Let the drill do the work and try not to micro-manage the wrapper. Let the wrapper do it's thing. This was made with the last half of wire after an ah-ha moment.
Tried briefly a couple times, without putting in much effort, so needless to say, it did not work out. Can't wait to have a bit of time to practice and get good at it. But now I feel confident that aliens can be made! It IS possible!
3x24k/32k
Cannot wait til I get good enough to build with more appropriate wire gauges for a dual coil build. But, I finally feel like I am on the verge.
Thanks to you intricate builders for making me jealous enough to want to step up my game from just rocking fused claptons.

Not the best vaping alien but it won't triangle and you can focus on the technique.
Not quite pristine but closer. Phase 3 in troubleshooting. 3x26/36.
Seems to me keeping good pressure between the drill and swivels is key and works best for me to kinda let the drill rip fairly fast and steady.
Any advice on decore/alien wrap tension based on the picture?
6 or 7 more months of practice and I think I will get it.
It looks to me like your decore was stretched just a little too much - it doesn't have much of the distinctive "S" wavy pattern to it. Regardless, it has enough that it should provide more than adequate capillary action. Looks aside, I bet it gives a fantastic vape!Any advice on decore/alien wrap tension based on the picture?

What's the ohms?
YupIf you think over-stretched, i will back off the stretch on the next run.
Generally, when there's too much tension when wrapping, the excess coiling has to go somewhere - to the balance of the decore. When this happens, it builds up and creates extra tension in the balance and will begin to tangle in on itself as you feed it.B) i put too much tension on the alien wrap
Its a good little tank. Air bubles move slow with vg max. But I love itI have one of those Mage GTAs sitting in my P.O. box right now. How do you like it so far?
I just leave it tilted when its not in my pocketThanks. All my DIY juices are max VG - usually around 85-87% VG.
What deck is that???Well I didnt get the Spaced Fusing to work like I wanted to so I just 6 a 6 Core Ribbon SFC...so far its the biggest Ribbon SFC there is.
(6) 4PLY .3R Stacks Staggered in 42TMN80 and Fused with 44TMN80 (5 wraps/3.5mm ID @ .14 Ohms Single Coil)
That be the Norris N30 (30mm)What deck is that???
Goons come in today
