I see yall building all of these big, elaborate coils. Staged claptons, twisted claptons, staggered claptons, fused claptons, staple coils and whatnot are great and all, but where's the love for the tiny coils of the vaping world? There's some legit vapage to be had with less wire, you know? Smaller coils wick better. Not knocking big-ass coils - I use them too, but when set-up right, a smaller coil can move just as much juice as a big coil. I swear, some of my smaller builds kick-up a bit more flavor than the bigger ones. They tend to be much smoother vapes, too.

How about a cute little dual twisted 26g? 2.5mm id - .22 ohms.

Performing really nicely on my SMPL v1. Lots of cool, smooth, and tasty vapor for the sapor. Little coils, big clouds. Really get's crackin at 80w on my Sigelei.

That ss build I just did is 28 gauge wrapped 8 times at 2mm. Love these skinny long coils.

It's kind of just personal preference and whether or not you wanna try smaller guages or not. 40g is actually pretty easy to work with but kicks out great flavor. Is recommend using a regulated box with that build tho, it's been hit or miss for me with my mech whether or not it'll give it the power needed to perform well

Why are the outer claptons so big compared to the core? Did you decore and use smaller wire?

Sure did. Built the coil and was meticulous to get the diamond right, wicked it on my velocity mini and it was just tall enough to barely touch the delrin drip tip ... needless to say I used some language my 4 year old daughter shouldn't had. Haha

See when I do them the wire is tight around the core wires, if you look at the 3rd pic in your post you can see it looks like you could almost fit another half core wire in the claptons:

....could be the pic but Idk but that was why I asked if you decored and replaced with thinner core wire.

Made a new build for my Goblin Mini! The only part is not having alot of workroom for decent sized coils...I almost got a 30g/46g Fused Claptons to fit but it would have touched the barrel of the chimney...So heres what I got for now, 26g/36g Streched Claptons. Decent vape @ 30w-50w for sure!

Well following up those builds. Here is the beast mode sleeper coil I just build. It is fine to be envious! Haha

SS build trying for TC but still no love. Have it set at 300 then 350 then 400 and 450 but gets to 79 degrees and changes to watt mode... what TC mod should I get to replace this cube 2?

It is super thin and pliable and with the right amount of tension it would almost wrap itself, as long as your using swivels...
If you think thats crazy this one will blow your mind...I cant figure it out...

It looks like 20 or so rows of ribbon going vertical then stapled that's just my opinion

It's 24 ply .3mm ribbon wire spaced fused w/ 42g

Framed Stapled Spaced Aliens:

8-ply .3mm ribbon framed w 28g KA1, wrapped w/ 36g N80.
Dual 5 wraps around a 3mm driver clocks in at .11 ohms. These fellas are beastly. I was firing it at 3.4v (110W) and the vapor was just billowing outta the coils. Flavor is super intense. A lot more fun to vape than the non-spaced version of these (framed stapled aliens) simply due to the openness of the coils. They seem to be a lot more rowdy than their counterpart. Fairly warm build, not quite scorching, but definitely up there. One of those builds that vape so crazy you gotta DROP the voltage to really enjoy it. It does perform outstandingly on a parallel box as well. Definitely worth the trouble to make, about 30 mins start to finish. I don't plan on removing these anytime soon. Two thumbs up.

I find ebay is the best place to get wire cheap, all the sites Ive seen are $30+ for 500-1000ft of 40g+ wire....Ebay you can get the same wire for $15-$25. Look for the 40g+ wire on ebay thats light blue with a bee on the spool, thats usually the one I buy when I do, great stuff. If you get a 100ft spool of any of it expect to be out of it within a few builds if your using it to clapton. I didnt even get 10ft worth of Fused clapton (22g/40g) with a 100ft spool lol

This thread alone had made my wife so happy, with the constant arrival of spools of wire and me running a drill to clapton, and my cussing when I don't keep a tight wrap.

Looks like she is going to be happy again when more wire shows up! Haha
