With the newest update in in the "Settings" option, its supposed to be for Locking or Adjusting the resistance for a TC coil but it also works for Kanthal/Ni80. Unless your making minuscule adjustments I advise against it...dont do as I do...its unsafe
The sigelei 150tc mod? Where did you get the update?

I think it may be time for a new ohm reader then. I know the limitations of the sig but I've fired a .09 and .08 coil before. Looks like I'm going straight to the store tomorrow for a new reader.

Yeah as far as I know it goes down to .10

What does it read on the sigeli screen?
Made a small build with the some of the wire I made yesterday...not as pretty as I thought it would of turned out but made it makes for a nice smooth vape with great amount of flavor and crazy amount of vapor!

Can you vape ss in wattage mode?

Sent from my Z995 using Tapatalk
I do it all the time 316 and 304. Based on what studies I've seen its temp resistance is much higher than we use before it becomes bad.

It's called an Alien coil. Look up "Alien Coil" on YouTube. There are a number of good videos that can explain it MUCH better than I can.

Aliens are one of those builds that make you want to pull your hair out until you "get it". Then they are super fun, and perform wonderfully. Prepare to waste wire if you are going to start learning them.

These have a ribbon core, so a Framed staple alien. 26g frames, 4x0.5mm ribbon cores, 36g alien wrap.

Here's an example of 3x26g cores with 36g alien wrap.

Here you can see what's going on inside both.

@iLiptiKal Those look awesome!

Here's my latest attempt. 30K cores with 38N outer. They wrapped kinda wonky when I coiled them for some reason, but they should perform okay. I hope...

How slow do you go to keep your core wires straight and not rolling over each other? ! That is always my biggest problem.

Ahh cool. The tri-point alien, or I've seen it called a Mohawk alien. This happens if you don't stretch the alien wrap enough for them to lay flat. I pretty sure the first time I saw this was by @theparallelgravedance on Instagram.

Yeah, sometimes I get paranoid I'll overstretch and have to start over.

I go a bit over half of my drill speed for the majority of the length of wire. I start going pretty slow at the start tho to make sure my alien wire is perfectly stretched. Too tight and it will collapse the cores or form that tri-point. The real key for me getting these down was switching to really good fishing swivels that allow you to keep the right amount of tension on the cores while wrapping.

Next time you build a coil, can you snap a pic of how you setup your swivel and drill?! I have just been binding everything with the chuck and going to town...

I use 6 of those same fishing swivels, they have ball bearing and all but if you pull too hard on the drill I notice they start to bind and then stick like that...So dont pull too hard on your drill when using the swivels!

Oh yeah, you don't want too much tension, just enough to keep the cores aligned

You want ball bearing swivels for sure. The other ones bind up much easier which will cause twisting in your wire.

That was my original mistake, not getting ball bearing swivels, but ya I still just buy them from Walmart or whatever store I happen to be near when I need them lol
