Thanks bro! I was really just messing around enigmas are not coils I really vape. I tried to get some good color but I ended up pulsing the color out, I didn’t realize I had a short on one of the leads, one of the wasn’t quite in there enough. I might try a hedgehog for my next build or a zipper variation. I’ve got ideas brewing LoL.

A gatortail is pretty is a coil you could make if you wanted to. You take a straight round wire and you glue it together with two wires that are twisted together at the ends. You can stick ribbon in between if you wanna go nuts but you don’t have to. Then you just clapton those cores. It’s an awesome looking coil and it vapes pretty good too. Chef taught me about them a long time ago, I dunno if he created the build, but he was like one of the first guys to do it.

You were right about getting that lead right ...managed to snap the 38g twice on the stick where I had too much tension ... in the end about half way down got it sussed

Thanks matey ...gave that hand drill I picked up from an old hardware store a go today ...kind of like tapping your head and rubbing your belly

it has no lock so if you let go when you’re pulling on the lead it will start unwinding haha...makes moving the slider..... interesting ....

Spacing is uneven and don't have that distinct alien wave. I mean they are usable, but not good.

if that’s all that’s missing then you have the lead too far forward lean just slightly forward from 90 degrees and try to maintain that angle the whole way

what gauge did you wrap the Decore wire round? Also I assume you made the initial clapton in the opppsite way to what you’re using to wrap the alien?

Yep. I wrapped the decore around 28g counterclockwise then wrapped the decore around 3 28g clockwise. Probably held the lead too far forward.

I usually wrap some wire around them and slide it up and down as needed.

So I was talking to @midknight420 and he brought up zipper coils so he kinda inspired me to do a zipper coil variation. This is a zipper coil staged with an alien coil. I like the way it came out.

Wind on the first half inch and pinch the cores flat again ...have the spacer fairly close to start with and move it up a bit as you go ...it’s tempting to slide it well ahead but I’ve always had bad runs doing that ....practice stop starting with it maintaining the tension and slight forward angle

With no stretch left you cant apply pressure really you have to let them wind themselves on ...with 38g I under stretch just slightly as I like feeling it pull slightly as I’m winding

I’m sorry for double posting, I don’t think I’ve ever done it before, I’m just so happy with the way this coil came out. I didn’t quite twist one side enough but what are you going to do? I just wanted to vape a staged parallel.

I didn’t put it on an ohm meter but It’s gonna be way to low for series. Parallel coils will decrease resistance. Plus it’s only 3.5 wraps. What happens in the goon RDA is the alien lights up first and the zipper follows right behind it so it’s got that staged heating effect. If you keep your cotton wet you can get long warm cloudy hits. I dunno why I’m just super happy that I did this coil.

If you can do a Fralien that’s great. Oh and Cat Tracks are great too, if you have three and a half hours to hammer a wire LoL. Great vape though.

As I look at my alien staged zipper I realized one side of the zipper is twisted more than the other. Kids when you make a zipper coil twist both sides equally. It’s not that hard to do. Don’t be like me.

Lol. With the shit luck I've had lately I don't think I'm going to vape it. I'm just gonna leave it it's little container and pull it out from time to time to admire it. Then, after I'm done praying to it, I'll put it back in its little container until next confession.

Same 3*16/36 aliens from last week but now spaced more and in the wormhole rda. Sitting @.16 ohms @80W with some homemade 3mg French vanilla. It's a tasty cloud in the wormhole.



I know the pic sucks but it's the best I could do.

Forgot to take pics but I was able to flatten out the framed staple build enough to deem it useable. It's a warmer vape than the aliens but also more tasty.

Bro I’m so sorry I didn’t realize you were gonna use it as a single I would have made the resistance a lot lower. I hope it still vapes well. If it’s regulated it shouldn’t really make too much of a difference but that’s my bad. If you want a lower resistance Fralien just let me know!
