We are fortunate if we can just get a portion of what we want out of life.

do the best that you can and make the most of what you have.

Me: Gets struck by a car, also tests positive for COVID-19...

Doctor: Cause of death... COVID-19. Don't mind the fact half of his skull is in his rectum.

Correct!

Our hand sanitizers are now coming South Korea, mask from Mexico.... thankful for it!
Yep sad to see how our country did NOT gear up for this.. And I am not talking about before March but after.
Just picked up a bottle of hand sanitizer from my desk. Yep made in China. And all my masks and gloves are from China.

Not from what i have seen so far.
We are not even trying to gear up for the remainder of this pandemic outbreak.
Aside from vaccine. Have not noticed any made in USA PPE for sale yet.

And yes there will be a next time... sometime.
Of course it is quite possible that we will have the corona lurking for many years here.
Even with a Vaccine it will be pretty much like annual or less flu shots kind of thing.
And we still have flu outbreaks every year.

And as I see it we are still going to be in a not good situation a year from now with the corona.

That “vaccine” is gonna be mandatory for us healthcare workers, I pray not to grow another leg LOL! Here in SoCal, they already cancelled physical schools, everything ONLINE! This is life altering for kids here in SOCAL, but I think it’s an opportunity for people to get to know them kids you know....... I agree with the lurking pArt!

Fuck my Douchebag Neighbors

Over the past years I have neighbors who walk their dogs on my manicured lawn with pooping, and urinating on it which I pay for weekly landscaping service to keep it looking nice. Plus people walking across it as a short cut.

Various complaints I have made with my Township, with nothing ever being really done except some letters sent to the dog owners home to curb their dogs.

So I had this sign made, and within a weeks time neighbors called the police, lol. My First Amendment Right!

Township police ring my bell asking me to take down the sign. I ask is there a Township Ordinance code against it, cop says NO! I say have a good day, and the sign stays.

Also he rang my home bell without wearing a mask, and told I was not talking to him without one, He ran to his police car to get it, lol NJ law requires you need a mask if 6 ft social distancing is not possible.

I hear the "next time" will be the wholesale failure of all antibiotics. We have over relied upon antibiotics and now there's diseases, infections which eat them for lunch.
The human species time on this planet will someday end just like the other species dominance has.

It depends.
Actually nothing is infinite is an incorrect statement how can nothing be infinite?

And time is time, it is the measurement of it that is relative.

Is the speed of light different at different altitudes?
Perhaps extremely different due to atmospheric refraction and such.
But that is just to get from point a to point be because the light is refracted somewhat and not travelling in a straight line. The speed is the same.
Gravity will have some very slight impact as well but again light is travelling the same speed just a different path so take longer to get from point a to point b.

Yeah, super...since it's gonna be 100 degrees for the next few days, lets shut off everyone's A/C.
Power went out literally as I was heading out the door, with the PGE bill to drop in the mailbox - my electric bill's as much as some people pay in rent, and they can't keep the lights on.

You're right, I think. Even though they get the billions they have to pay for fires by jacking up the rates, it does still leave them too "broke" to fix the infrastructure so the supply can handle a heat wave - I guess... But other places...hell, other areas IN CALIFORNIA, seem to do a better job.

Scientifically, nobody knows.
And time is time, it is the measurement of it that is relative.
No. Time and space are relative, as the only factor that is constant is the speed of light.
Is the speed of light different at different altitudes?
No.
Perhaps extremely different due to atmospheric refraction and such.
The medium through which the light travels can alter the light's trajectory of course, and gravitational pull can bend the light, but nevertheless it still follows its trajectory at a constant speed.
But that is just to get from point a to point be because the light is refracted somewhat and not travelling in a straight line. The speed is the same.
Atoms can also absorb a photon and emit another photon in such a way that there appears to be a brief moment of delay elapsing between the two separate events.
Gravity will have some very slight impact as well but again light is travelling the same speed just a different path so take longer to get from point a to point b.
Gravity in the form of a black hole can have a profound impact, as the light can no longer escape from it after it passes the so-called event horizon. But yeah, this is due entirely to the relativity of space and time, as the speed of light is still nevertheless constant.

That is the constant that humans are aware of.

And also there are galaxies moving faster than the speed of light...

Constants are mostly relative to your locale.

It was only an eye blink ago in relation to humans existence on this planet that they were certain that evil spirits and such caused illness and disease.

Every generation seems to think that they have it all figured out...

Here in San Diego it’s uncharacteristically warm... I actually turned the AC on yesterday... which was the first time this year.

Read and hear about the rolling black/brown outs for the past 20 years living both in Los Angeles and San Diego... never experienced it.

Experienced loss of power once, but that was due to a car accident taking out one of those large green grid boxes that supply a neighborhood.

Today's name tag is, ... "Frankie". Well, guess I'm a Frankie today then. I liked being a "Joseph" yesterday but really dug being a "Doug" the day before that. Maybe I'll get lucky and be be an "Eric" tomorrow.

No matter who I am though, gotta have more Silly Putty (tm). One can never have enough of that, even if a "little goes a long way".
