It only cost $250 at an eBay auction....not to worry...it's big enough to make a couple mods.
"Not to worry, I'm sending you a block of wood essentially worth its weight in semi-precious metals" is all I see there.
I remember my dad when he taught me to drive a stick. A little blue volkswagen pickup, we had just gone to the store to get the oxy/acetyaline tanks filled and we were coming home. He pulls off to he shoulder, tells me it's time to start driving and "don't forget about the bombs in the back".

My palms are sweaty already....

Itty bitty update:
Loving the natural cherry :inlove:

8RUsB7N.jpg
I have a lot of seasoned wild cherry wood.
It is denser grain and more reddish than that though.

Ok @AlbyKortoona in the interest of saving you from the wrath of JuicyLucy. I have a proposal for you. I have not forgotten about our previous discussions on me making you a series squonker in a triangle shape. But I have tried 3 times so far and can not seem to get everything nice and flush and compact the way I envision it to be. Even tho I have not given up on it yet. (Trying to make some jigs for cutting and sanding to come out standardized). I am willing to make you one in my normal style if you would like. Just tell me whether you prefer light, dark or combo of the 2. And I will get it done asap. Just say the word.

Word. :) Light/dark or combo is fine, if you have something with a bit of figure that would be nice.

And thanks for the save from JL, I usually wear my metal Muay Thai cup when verbally jousting with that one...;)

I have a really nice apple log seasoning. I use apple for knife scales. Semi hard, figures well, nice light color that darkens a bit with age.

Not a problem at all glad to do it. I will pick out some wood and get started on it Today.
As for JL I have a feeling that whether in real life or verbally on the net. It is much better to have her in your corner than facing her across the ring! :kickbutt::bomb:

I have a couple of thick branches from a olive tree seasoning for the last couple of years. It is time to move them to the garage and let them dry out.

I've never worked with olive, but I've drooled over some work that makes me want to on more than one occasion.
I know lots of folks go nuts over the exotic woods from around the world, but I actually really enjoy the offerings domestically!

A neighbor said I could have a big apple tree that had died in his orchard. Felt like I had hit the lotto. It looked so awesome when I cut it up, but every single piece split all to hell right to the center. It's not going to waste though, the flavor it imparts to pork on the bbq is to die for...

Apple is finicky and I've never been able to dry a piece myself without splitting.
If it's a large enough piece and you get lucky the split won't spiral around the grain and you can still get some decent flat boards.

I have been told posthumously (the applewood, not me) that it needs to be "kiln dried" and harvesting a dead tree you are screwed from the get go. Idk, my ignorance of woodwork and the processes involved is second only to my lack of understanding on the mystery of women...

I'm sadly thinking of trading my Lukkos. The squonk hole is a bit too small for my large hands and I keep popping the door off. Sad day.

Sorry Jeff...couldn't take pictures today my friend, inspected a small shopping center today, wasn't done till dark.....

This is officially the most hyped-up chunk of wood on the forum right now :giggle:

But no worries, my current stash of stabwood is holding those papers down without fail!

Do you still have it? Maybe we can work out a trade. I just wanna try it before I fork the cash over for the real one.

They just don't vape the same - I have both.

But I'm glad I got the authentic before the clone. I'd have never bought an authentic if I judged it by the clone like I did the Goon and a few others out there

But, But, But the clones are just like the Authentic's and most times are better!

I just roll my eyes when I see that parroted everywhere.

What I do with Clones is to try before forking the money down for the Authentic is use to to judge the overall design to see if I like it. If I do I'll buy the Authentic and in most all cases have been much better than the Clones. I have had a couple Clones that have been on par with the Authentic, but that is rare. Quality of machining and materials used make a difference.

She has arrived!
0e90ef3607c74b63df8317bf8daf223e.jpg

This is literally the perfect atty for me. Flavor is as good as the Derringer, if not better....with an easier to build on deck (been leaning towards single coil on my mech lately). Air flow is perfect for me at fully open....a nice DL, with just a touch of restriction.

Well worth the money.
Can't wait till the ultem arrives so my matchy matchy ocd will be appeased.

Let me revise.....better then the Derringer, definitely better......they are both flavor attys, both produce a dense rich flavor, but the way the air flow works on the hadaly makes it as rich, but smoother some how (and the squonk action is smoother as well). Not to mention a far cry easier to build....got a honking 430SS 28 gauge, 3 strands twisted, 3mm ID in there, with room to spare. With the Derringer, 3mm was starting to push it because of the 3 post design.

Hadaly is a bit too rsstricted for me. I have it wide open, and prefer other rda. Even o16 seems easier to draw on on wide open setting. I vape unflavoured, so flavour is redundant, I'm all about the perfect draw.

I mix my juice in large batches of unflavored, to add in flavor later. Tried to vape some of it once......and said "nope, need some flavor" :p

Proper shout out to customer service at Psyclone mods,
Ordered a couple new hadaly drip tips, one in ultem, and they shipped 2 delrin. One email & less than 12 hours later they shipped the correct ultem tip via priority mail and let me know I could keep the extra!
Well done!

Wow - got my $22 Wraith today - better fire it up and make sure it is up to snuff

I hope yours works ok, from what I've read it's kind of a crapshoot with those things. But for that price, it's worth the gamble...

@inspects, firefly inbound tomorrow, I'm guessing you should have at least one of yours built and running by the time I get to mine....
I need more devices to put these things on. I'm running my poor little orca ragged.

Mine works so far used it 2 days but got my inbox today so wraith will sit. It's temp control not great but I'm spoiled by evolve. Battery door seems flimsy but works good once you learn to make sure it's pushed down all the way before pushing it it closed. Love the finish very soft see how it holds up. It reminds me of a vaporshark. Bottles are soft but they expand back very slowly.

Don't drip and drive.

Haven't had time to build anything, we have work up the ass this week....:treadmill:

Feel like someone laced me with a ball-bat to be honest.....:deadhorse:

Certainly have a huge pile of vape debris on my deck, hopefully Sunday I get unboxing.......:vapemail:

So I just picked up the dripbox 160 to see if I like squonking. The RDA it came with is garbage so I need to get a BF pin for my goon to really see if I like it. But other than that I'm digging the whole no dripping thing, all I gotta do is squeeze with my ring finger a bit.

Hey guys, dunno if this is ok or not, and if it's not cool please delete. I wanted to offer up to my squonk peeps. I have a dripbox 160, and a dripbox 2 that I'd like to trade for some atty's. goon, petri, NARda, hadaly, etc. The dripboxes are in great shape, in the packaging, but do not have atty's. again, if this ain't cool, please delete. I'm a convert to my Reos.
