If you are considering a mech, the CopperVape beats the snot out of the a Dripbox or Pico

Heck, CVs compete well with the REO and other squonkers that cost really big bucks
I am scared to death of mech's, don't want one.

I'd buy them if the electrical circuit wasn't so privative, I'm thinking about selling mine too...because I don't use um. Numbnuts (Vaughan) should have spent more time reading up on electrical theory before making mods.
One is my pinch from pdib. Cleaned it yesterday, got it firing. Dropped it two feet onto carpet this morning and needs maintenance again. Switches are internal on 99% of mods for a reason.

Less than half price reflects no service available for VR. And seeped juice in 510 of pinch.

Unreal, Dan....paid DAMN good money too.

Jasen (DJ) told me to ship my VR mods to him, said he could make the mods work respectively.

With all the silver. Performance is good for a 26650. Just wrong grade of silver, so contacts slip, and battery changes resemble brain surgery getting everything aligned

You people are a bunch of enabling trouble makers!!! I'm loving it!
JL, That DT loos nice too! I'll get my glass/lampwork gear setup eventually, then I'll be able to make some nice top caps and DTs but till then, I'm stuck with what's available on the market.

Good idea - brass/brass is nice...
This is there cuz it's my brassiest atty...

Derringer is a great plan. Or something with an Ultem cap...but I think bear said he wasn't loving the Hadaly...

brassybrass2.jpg

If I was a bear, I'd go to FT and get one of those Derringers in a brass finish to top the brass CV
I wish they made the Origen little in brass to match the brass CV I'm ordering

It's a clone Hadaly. For once I resisted temptation and waited for the clone to get here first. I need to play a little bit more with it before I give up on it.

It seemed to me that the Derringer v3 is a natural for squonking, it just needs a minor "intervention" to the 510 pin.
From memory, the positive contact has a slightly raised base. That's the only downside not being flush. And the broad posts.

Feeds a parallel Z coil without dramas though. Unsure on duals

That sound good, thank you. Please give until the end of the week. I feel the top of my Hadaly is not seating all the way down on the base, I will swap the o-rings and see. The other problem might be the inside or the cap, it has a very sharp lip and might benefit from some very light polishing.
Has anyone here tried the NONAME type attyes? I'm tempted, but I'd like a couple of impressions from the folks around here.

I think I wet sanded the inside edge you refer to with some 220 wet sand paper.
I do that on several attys, make the cap go down so much smoother.
Aslo lube up your orings with a bit of PG on a qtip.

I did lube the o-rings but the cap is still giving me a headache:headbang: I have some very nice extra fine jeweler's polishing disks but they're at the old house and I'm still moving....

I just use a scrap of black 220 wet sand paper. Dampen it and use my finger about 5 min is all you need. Does a much more even job than a dremel or such. You just have to round off the inner edge a tiny bit.

Take as long as you need, it's not going anywhere. I've thought about having a lot sale or start my on reality show spinoff of atty hoarders but both sound like to much trouble.

My Hadaly was very tight and took some effort to get it completely seated at first, I never noticed any sharp edges though. It seems to have loosened up a little over time, I just make sure I have the O-rings lubed well with juice. If changing the O-rings doesn't work a lite spin with some med-fine grit sandpaper should do it.

I've got 2 NONAME clones. The NoPity which is a great atty but its a dual coil, I'm more into single so haven't used it much. I got a NoToy in yesterday and so far I'm really liking it, lots of airflow choices and very easy to build on for a small diameter atty.

I bought a NoPity clone from FT awhile back and did not like it.Crap quality and not easy to build.I do have an authentic NoFear though, and the build quality is stellar. If you like MTL,the NoFear is great. It's a 14mm atty for single coil and a tight draw, and has great flavor. But I don't think they were ever cloned and they are pricey little bastards.

Out of curiosity, have you actually been able to vape it?

NIce - I have an old V1. I bought a brass clone to top it, but have never used it. The V1 has more than a few problems and being as there are non-problematic atties that put out great flavor without the problems, it just sits there.

Don't have a V3 clone, but they are supposed to be pretty good.
Ya gotta have brass topping brass - SS cheapens the look of a brass mod in my humble opinion :giggle:

I just got home, I'm still moving, I had a chance to clean up the inner bottom lip so that at least now the cap sits flush on the base. I'll give it a shot this evening and let you all know how it went.
