You mostly see me in Peter's thread, but been busy and haven't been in there lately.

Been awhile since I've been in Peters thread, just moves too fast sometimes and it's hard to keep up there. My number is coming up again on Peters thread, I think he said is still a couple months out, so I'm excited to add another one of his creations to my stable. I'm undecided on getting another Sumpin to match my other one from him or get a Pinch.

Been on a CC kick myself this year too so I've been hanging around Corey's thread mostly. Got a 7068 one from him just a few weeks back and love it just as much as my 2 brass ones so I ordered another 7068 from him and should have that around the beginning of June.

Love the pic of your collection, nice bunch of squonkers you got there !

Nice! Could you elaborate a bit on the gold & silver ones in the foreground. Thanks

Those are made by Corey (Custom Classic) over on ECF :)

you can check him out here: https://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/threads/bf-mods-by-custom-classic.685392/

They are great metal versions of Peters Sumpin mod. The brass ones are solid and hefty, he also did a run in copper and his last run was out of 7068 alunimum. His waiting list isn't too far out either, only a couple months I think, now that he was able to ramp up production to 5 a week.

If you like mech squonkers he's worth checking out :)

Well, what mod are you getting? All I have is a dripbox, but I have seen the light. :bliss:Going to pair that with a Velocity mini for the time being as I contemplate the correct move up.
If you get a Crispy Cap Flav for the stock atty, it improves the flavor a good bit (even with the wide open air

It does move at incredible speed! I can't keep up so I don't try. My number for the next one won't be up for several more months. I'd go for a Pinch. Incredible little monsters. I love my ironwood one. And those CCs are so hard to beat. I wish I could afford a copper one, but my budget got shot to hell for a good long while, I'm afraid.

No, but I think he will do one only on request, but I'm not sure.

That's what I thought. But things certainly can change.

no, i asked him. Glad he said no though, the pinch is more efficient. Selling my dibi

You may be right, when Peter and I last spoke he really was pushing for me to try the Pinch, but I thought it seemed more like a option. I do like the lines of the Sumpins tho, and another one would maintain my balanced mod symmetry ;) if I got a Pinch, I would have to get 2.....they are that nice too :)

Next to a Pinch for size comparison:

CC mods. The tallest aluminum one was once owned by another member here. Pardon the patina on the brass one, I did not get it cleaned before the pic.

Peng, I don't believe I've ever seen your VR, it's just beautiful!!! Congrats on such a nice piece of Kiwi art :)

Your Pinch is gorgeous too.....such a fine collection you have there :)

I went there and saw his stuff. Really nice! I went ahead and registered so I could comment or pm him, but I was scouting through it and haven't seen anyone from this side of the world on there. I did see a post of his where he had 2 going to the states, so i guess someone from here must be on there. Looks like a sturdy squonker!

Thanks. Sent him a message. Poking around his fb page, found this link to a dna200 bottom feeder.

I have a regular TMod mech, single 18650. His DNA200's are nice, but as in all of them, quite a bit on the pricey side! I can't afford one of his. I'm holding out for the Effusion DNA200 squonker. The price should be more budget friendly.

You found pcan's fb page? If you have it, can you post a link?

I think most international customers contact him through Facebook

I have several of each. I will never sell my original dibi-oliveR-sumpin mods, but the pinches are more svelte, much more electrically efficient and easier to maintain, and as a result, they're getting considerably more use. Right now, if I could only keep one mod, it would probably be my original walnut pinch. Since it's oil-finished rather than CA'd, it's not all that pretty to look at, but it feels so good in the hand:

My impression is that Corey is pretty much caught up now, and any delay of more than a couple of weeks is due to the availability of "rough" mod bodies in the material of your choice from his vendor buddy.

Oh -- you should get a copper one -- primarily because you don't have one of those yet. :D

Hi Ross, good to see you here too :) Im like you, I will never sell my Sumpin, it holds a sentimental value to me that can never be replaced. I do like the concept of the Pinch, but not too fond of the internal positive or the negative on the outside of the mod. I do understand that it hits better and is more electrically efficient, but the Sumpin internals seem more secure. I'm sure Peter will eventually convince me on a Pinch, but there's just something about the Sumpins that are more appealing to me.

I did the flip flop with Corey already on the Copper vs 7068 too LOL. I thought, yes, Trifecta and quad club all with the next mod, but after having the 7068 for a bit I really fell in love with its lightweight feel compared to the Brass pair I already have. So I went with weight being the determining factor this round. If there are still Coppers available next time I'm ready I will get one to complete the collection.

Do you still travel up and down the east coast? Maybe we could do a lunch or something next time your thru VA?

Got on the list for PCWoodmods, so thanks again for the link. He responded quickly, has the shortest wait time (3-4 months) and by far the most reasonable prices. Ordered a Reo Grand clone from slowtech that I will cut the top off of, that should get me thru the wait time better than the dripbox.

Oh. I was thinking mech. Maybe I only saw progress pics of that. Lovely block though. I think the remainder made my shortlist

Hi Ross, good to see you here too :) Im like you, I will never sell my Sumpin, it holds a sentimental value to me that can never be replaced.
Oh yeah. I came into sqounking via a Sumpin. At the time, I was taken in by the mods' beauty and obviously elegant ergonomics. Early on, I had the opportunity to rescue the second one ever made. She and I have been quite inseparable ever since.

I do like the concept of the Pinch, but not too fond of the internal positive or the negative on the outside of the mod. I do understand that it hits better and is more electrically efficient, but the Sumpin internals seem more secure. I felt that way when the Peter introduced the Pinch. But I've since changed my mind. The Pinch really is a better mod. Perhaps not quite as elegant looking with the the external switch, but damn, she performs. :D

I did the flip flop with Corey already on the Copper vs 7068 too LOL. I understand completely. Brass and copper are stay-at-home mods -- too heavy to carry around.

Do you still travel up and down the east coast? Maybe we could do a lunch or something next time your thru VA?
Yep, just did the northbound trip this weekend. I should be in SW VA for a bit in mid-June (we've got a cabin in Floyd County), probably less than an hour from you.

I refused to use the "s" word just on principle 'cause it sounded stupid, now I see there was good reason lol.

I'm considering http://www.shapeways.com/product/6ESX2FFXK/squonklab950-dna200-chassis?optionId=58603649 as a DNA200 option. Maybe, I get a 3D printer, and make my own design.

definitly would like to see what ya could do with your own printer, cool stuff!i just havent found many bf 3d prints out there.the other place besides shapeways doesnt have many that i could find anyways...crap cant remember thier name but ive ordered from them when George had his peko's and such up.

the drag with this print is you have to buy every part separatly from them, you dont get everything you need for 43$.thiers a 13$ door, then a 29$ insert.so about 90$ and im thinkin ya have to get the dna 200 chip holder/buttons for another?12 or 15$.im starting my 2nd squonk box and am getting the (aluminium)squonk box from FDV,the v4 bf 510 and bf squonk kit..with shipping it was less then half the price and has a ton of room for a bigger mah battery(lipo).

granted the 3d print is a sexy lookin box, maybe for a dna 75 i might try one...maybe.heres a few pics of my steam crave converted to dna200!im diggin it for sure and escribe is freakin awesome to use.a lil scarey at first but with the tutorial at evolv sight it makes it super easy to navigate.i dont have any magnets so thats why the rubberband..lol.big shout out to @subohmies and @fishwater for helping me to press forward and just do this build...er conversion.

only thing i really messed up was on the right side of the face of the mod my dremmels arbor ground into the front of the mod.the dna200 faceplate from shapeways covered it almost all the way up.you can see it if ya look about 3/4 of the way down on the right side in the 2nd pic.im hooked on this building regulated dna200 squonkers for sure.anyone needing or wanting a t-mod 18650 or a reo gimme a holler i have a few at bargains id let go to fund another dna 200/75,i really want the dna 75 when it becomes available!hey Doffy you andIMG_20160424_183154.jpg your crew from the aussie sight helped a bunch also man...thanks!
