SUBTANK WARS

If you haven't already, read this entire thread. People talk about the Starre, iSub, Arctic, Atlantis V2, High Voltage, Maganus, Zephrys, Beast... You've got a selection to choose from.

I skimmed... Not well though. The subtank just seems to be a safe bet I guess is what I was getting at. I myself want to try the zephyrus with my SX mini.

You have to read the whole thread -there are a ton of subohm tanks out now!

The Atlantis 2 is terrific with the 0.3 ohm coil at 70 watts. But really only for lung hits. Amazing flavor and vapor.

I want to try the Beast, but I think I have too many tanks as it is :p

My buddy has an atlantis 2 on his sub ohm, but that thing needs some serious watts so even be good like you said. I'll have to try his on my SX when I get it in!

You can use it with the 1.0 ohm coils at much lower watts. I had to get the adaptor for the drip tip though, because it's way too airy for my lungs!

I should add, the subtank is a great tank, the biggest down side is random leaks, and a horrid popping if it sits too long.

Update: Tried the Herakles 0.2ohm coil in my Starre Freemax, and WOW what a difference. The Freemax coils were burning often, and the very first Herakles I tried has been a true champ. I am quite surprised and happy. Keep in mind though this is the first Herakles I've tried, and I've tried at least 15 of the proprietary coils for the Freemax (which were all terrible). In other words, I may have gotten lucky. The Herakles coil does gurgle a little, but I actually like that as long as it's not spitting. Just says to me that the coil is properly wicking. Now vaping: Sigelei 150w, Starre Freemax tank, Herakles 0.2ohm coils, works well so far with 70vg/30pg, 90vg/10pg. Vaping regularly at 70w on 100%vg juice. The only drawback I notice so far is that the Herakles is a snugger fit, and slightly more difficult to thread my tank back together after filling it. It's a very nominal difference though, so if you try it just watch out for cross-threading.

I'd love my Subtank Mini if the flavor was consistent throughout all the coils, or even in the same coil, and if the damn leaks would go away. You are also really limited to 27 watts or lower on it, and that only occasionally (22-25 watts is the norm) before it starts to get burnt hits. So, I like it, but I'm just not in love with it.

New coils should take care of that

Totally agree with you @RGBVape. It's too bad cause the tank looks great just doesn't perform well

With my sub ohm battery and P3, they make a great pair with the subtank. The SX mini is the highest watt mod I've bought, so I bought an arctic, and am looking at a zephyrus so run at higher watts. They say the sub tank with nickel coils is pretty good too, but I have yet to actually try a mod with temp control, so we'll see how that goes, should be here next week hopefully!

This morning went to vape on my sub ohm with the subtank and it takes forever to warm up, the gurgling and popping gets old

That new Aspire Triton looks to be perfect... As long as it doesn't whistle like the Delta ][.

The airflow slots look very similar... So I'm hoping someone actually tested it this time before manufacturing.

Just got my eleaf ijust 2 in and im pretty impressed. The whole thing was $32 shipped and im digging it. Time will tell, i just did an unboxing and will upload it later. Looks like it might use atlantis heads also. Its a .3 so the tank gets kinda warm after 5 pulls back to back. 2a05a1f9e281eddd6a7ff38b7cf50f3d.jpg

Man whomever recommended the uWell Crown bravo. This thing is a beast. I'm using up all my pre sub ohm juice 24 and 36 mg by cutting it down with vg. Flavor gets muted pretty bad but thats ok. So I make it to about 12mg give or take and crank this thing up to 70 watts and damn near went in to a coma. Pretty damn hot as well. This is with the .25 ohm coil that comes preloaded in the crown. The only way I'll hit this at 100 watts is with zero nic juice. So I crank it down to 35 watts perfect. A nice slightly warm vape and massive clouds.

i told myself my atlantis v2 was going to be my last tank, then the zephyrus, then the beast haha but my beast and flask are on the expensive side for me, so i wanted something cheap and compact so when im running errands or working on my car i dont have to worry about breaking it or losing it. this is cheap enough for me not to care about it.

And having my ijust2 for less than 6 hours i dropped it on concrete from my pant pocket. Still works and the tank didn't crack surprisingly. The atlantis coils fit but the tank doesnt sit all the way down, it does not leak.

One thing I hate about Aspire when they release their tanks is the fact they barely hold any liquid. Here we are using more e-liquid and anything under and you are constantly having to fill. That is why you want to top fill to keep these beasts fed. So Aspire is releasing 3.5 mil capacity. Now are they going to use Atlantic coils or have new coils.

Hi Heather,
I may have read about the Project Sub Ohm in a different thread but I was sure it was here. In any event I dont remember it getting much activity. I have the Silo Beast too and you wont be disappointed at all. I love mine with the Nickle coils. Now I have to go find some myself. Have a great day

Hey there @judgewiz , I was thinking them same thing in regards to juice capacity. In todays market with these high output sub ohm tanks, they drink juice very fast. I went with the 7 ml extension on the first Atlantis and it is still my everyday tank. Hopefully if this new tank gets favorable reviews, someone will make a similar extension for it as well. 3.5 is just very small in todays world. The top fill helps but the fact remains you will still have to fill it up frequently if you use it a lot....

Update: got a package yesterday that was supposed to contain my new SMOK TCT. Instead it had a Kanger Genitank Mega in the package. Nothing against those that do, but I don't like Kanger tanks, and would never buy another. Plus this tank they sent is 1.8ohm or something, ugh. After paying for priority shipping last Thursday I got it yesterday and I got the wrong damn tank!? I sent it back today. Just to inform everyone this came from "Vaporider" I do not suggest using this site. There is no indication on the site as to whether a particular product is in stock. So I really think that when I ordered the TCT they didn't have it in stock, so they sent me something they knew I wouldn't want to stall for time while they waited for the TCT to come in. Don't order from "Vaporider". Will post again when I (hopefully) finally get to try my TCT.

i am loving this ijust 2. Its funny that i didnt like the herakles or the arctic for getting too hot because this tank gets hot as well since it has the .3 ohm coil which actually clocks in at .25 ohms. I find myself taking mouth to lung hits and only taking like 2 second pulls, but thats all i need since the flavor is pretty intense and the vapor production is nice. i usually do 4 or 5 second lung hits with my silo beast to be satisfied. The reason i went for this is because in GrimmGreens last vlog it was one of his first impressions and he went ape shit over it, i hadnt seen him that excited about something in a while and i see why. This may be my new all day carry.

Looks much smaller than I imagine the Beast to be.

Of course, if that wasn't true, they couldn't really call it the Beast, I guess...

So, I tried out an arctic and starre tonight. And Id have to say, the arctic took the cake on vape and flavor. The starre was good, and had a good flavor, but it didn't seem to stack up to the arctic. I also only took a few hits off both, I've got an arctic on the way, and might pick up a starre to mess around with more.
