I was checking out another Favotank review and came across his photo. The Favotank is on the left with the wickless coil installed. I have not seen that type of discoloration in my Subtank unless I had residue from old juice mixing with new juice, and never to that degree. I'm not sure if the wickless coil is filtering the juice by absorbing particles, or if the ceramic tubing of the coil is breaking down and releasing sediment into the juice. Or maybe it's something else. Whatever, I don't think I like it.

Believe it or not, I actually have an answer to your question!
The discoloration is caused by heat. Plain and simple heat.
Some liquids will react to it quicker than others or not at all.
Not a scientist but I have noticed that the housing containing the ceramic wick will get a bit hotter than traditional heads will.
My Kayfun RBA builds will do the same thing.
Yesterday, I filled the Flavor Tank with a Brandy flavored E-Liquid and the liquid turned dark in a couple of hours (or less).
Today I filled it with a Tobacco flavored E-Liquid.
It is still the original color using the same tank and the same head at about the same wattage.
