soooooooo kicking myself in the ass right now haha.

Rebuilt and re-wicked it (one of the leads snapped when I pulled the old cotton out) using what is basically the pancake method and its amazing. I'm able to take 6 second hits on it without the vapor being so hot I cough. It's like I just got re-introduced to vaping lol.

I guess that's it's way of letting me know who the real boss is. BTW, just tried my Atlantis with the ni200 coil in temp mode on the ipv4, and HOLY CRAP. it is the most satisfying vape I've ever had. It's never too hot, the flavor is right there. The only part I still don't understand is the joules. Very happy with the ipv4 and the performance I've managed to resurrect out of my Atlantis v1.

Jouls is watts. You set your temp to say 400 degrees and the jouls/watts determines how fast you get to the 400 degrees. And yes i love my atlantis nickel coils. First 10 puffs taste like ass but after that its smooth sailing lol

Hey @Puff , Yes this is an awesome thread and full of great information and results from many members on many products. The main problem here is that products are much like juice. They are very subjective to the individual user. What I find is great others may think it sucks or is just ok. I can say from my own personal experience regarding subtanks only, I still love my Atlantis V1. It sucked with its original coils but the new temperature nickle coils make th is a beast. There are many that out perform it but for me and I have tried many but I kept coming back to the Atlantis and the sole reason was the quality of the tank itself. Many of the others I tried, purchased and was excited about although performed well, felt cheap, broke easy or just didnt do it for me. See what I mean now. I am expected the Silo beast to be at my doorstep tonight when I get home. This has received many outstanding reviews so I thought I would give it a try. I will update the thread once I take her for a ride. My best advice is to read read read and think about what you want in a tank and look for those qualities in the reviews and post that you see. I have had great flavor and vapor with some tanks but apparently I did not realize I need to top quality as well. Something we all dont realize until we get to hold it, feel it, vape it and love it. Good luck my friend.

I have to echo Devil's thoughts. Taste is subjective. I have experimented with the Atlantis, original Kanger subtank and Kanger subtank Mini, Vapston Maganus, council of vapor Typhoon, Freemax Starre and the High Voltage.and Delta II Some of these tanks I passed them on and I have a friend that loves the Freemax starre and Vapston Maganus. I am currently vaping with a Silo Beast with Atlantis coils and that suits my vaping style and needs. It takes time just like finding a juice that will be your all day vape.

So can anyone try and see if the herakles and starre coils fit in the silo beast. I like the tank but not a fan of the Atlantis v2 coils in terms of flavour.

I was wondering about the V1 with temp control how it would work. I plan on getting a TC mod and glad to hear that the V1 works good with it. Guess i will keep my Atlantis V1 then.

That's good. Took off the seal just to try it a while back and it definitely made a huge improvement. Waiting on the seals and I will try the tank again. Right now it's washed and ready to go. Using the Billow V2 and Lemo 2s for now.

I have a Delta 2 and prefer it over the Subtank mini. I'm looking at the Artic tank as an upgrade to the Delta 2. What do you all think?

Just thought I'd add a new opinion. Just tried a dual parallel build on my Goblin, 6 wraps of 26ga at 2.5mm. Came out to .15. The flavor and vapor production is amazing, so I can only imagine what it'll be like when I do a similar build on the Zephyrus.

Oh, and the pancake wicking technique is amazing. Wicking Max VG Voltage by Steam Punk Vapors with no problems.

If you take the seal off it looses a bit of density to the vapour, you will notice a big difference with the new seals, I just used a drip tip cover and cut a bigger hole and used that as my gromit, just so I didnt wreck the one it came with.

Are you looking for something you can rebuild or something that has top fill? If not and if you are just looking for a straight up bottom fill with pre-built coils then I would recommend the freemax starre.

Ok. Do you have a Delta 2 and a Artic?

Yes. It is versatile because it has the .5 and .25 coils, plus it can use the V1 and V2 Atlantis coils, and the Anyvape RBA head. The flavor of the proprietary coils are top notch.

Starre is a great suggestion along with the matrix and obs t-vct both of which don't get much love on here. If you have a temp control mod then the Smok VCT with TCT coils is a great choice.

My next upgrade to the Istick is most likely going to be temp control.
Honestly the starre is probably your best option then. The starre coils are great but you can also use atlantis coils and herakles coils in it which means you can buy coils for it anywhere and there are nickel options.

Great thread! I'm looking at the new Crown tank with top fill, and SIlo Beast, and possibly Arctic, as my new one.
would be nice if anyone can share their experience and can compare these tanks;)

Haven't seen the crown in stores yet but the beast is pretty awesome. Not a fan of the arctic, muted flavor, airflow is meh, and it is loud. I would get the crown for clouds and beast for flavor but the crown coils are kinda hard to find at the moment while coils for the beast are everywhere and there are even ni200 tc coils for it. I would also suggest the starre since it is basically a cheaper beast with better airflow and more coil options.

I can no longer recommend the Starre tank to anyone. The base has now come off of my second tank. The same thing happened on both tanks. :/

I have heard of a few very similar complaints. Although mine has never given me problems I know of two people personally who have had the base come apart exactly like the pic

I'm pretty annoyed Devil a 5 pack of coils just arrived Friday :(
Press it back together in a vice. I did that to one of my Atlantis bases. Once it snaps back in, they are only press fitted, it will be good to go

Good luck with the Starre. Hopefully the vice trick works. I love the Starre and hope I don't run into that problem.

So, to be clear, does the needle trick decrease the flavor but allow you to vape at higher wattage?
My experience was I had increased flavor and was able to crank the power up. However I went through coils faster too so it was a trade off lol

Ok, well I haven't gone through this entire thread, but I seem to be the only person that has a problem with the Starre Freemax. I use the .25 coils on a sigelei 150. The coils are rated for 100w, but I've had problems with burning constantly on these coils at anything above 50w. I even used it on my Vertex mechmod and had burning/dry hit problems. I have used about 15 coils since I got the tank. I soak them overnight now. I have tried various juices from various sources from 70vg/30pg to 85/15, 90/10, and now vaping 100vg. Still the same problem. I just ordered the new TCT tank and after that I will just use the Starre with .5ohm coils on my KBox at 40w, IF I don't just chuck it in my drawer and forget about it. I am very disappointed with it, and I have no idea why no one else seems to have these problems, but it has been my experience. The tank is very well designed and I love the airflow, but it seems to me that the coils are sub-par. I have a feeling that if the holes on the coil sleeve were bigger it may not be such a problem.

The only thing I can add to this discussion is the 1.0 Ohm coils in the Atlantis V2 make it a much more satisfying tank from a flavor perspective than the .03 or .05. .03 was vaping too hot for my taste and the .05's had a tendency to dry hit. I think I found my sweet spot with the 1.0's. Able to crank them to 50 watts and get a great and cool tasty vape.
