Yeah, the Starre and the Maganus are pretty much the same tanks. They both go through juice like crazy. I've got 35 coils left to use with my Starre tanks. After that, I don't think I will be buying any more. The Atlantis coils seem to have better flavor to me. Right now I'm just running my Starres, Lemo 2s, and the Beast. The Starres can use the Atlantis coils, so it isn't a total loss. I've found with the Starres and the .5 ohm Atlantis coils that there is to much air flow and not enough vapor. Going to try the 1.0 Atlantis coils next and see how that goes.
What wattage are you using on the .5 in the starre. I found that the recommended 20-30 is no where close to enough. because of the dual vertical coils you need much more power on these then on other coils. I borrowed a friends mod and cranked it up to 70 and the flavor was amazing

To everyone complaining about the kanger subtank coils. I hate you. I had no issue with 2 .5 coils, I had been using them for almost a month with no issues. Now suddenly when I am down to my last 1ml in the tank where the juice barely covers the top of the coil I get dry hits. It might be time to replace them or it could be the fact I switched to DIY juice and my mix is 95 vg

I tried cranking the Atlantis .5 coil up to 35 and if I took any longer of a pull on it I could tell it was going to give me a dry hit. I've now switched to the 1.0 coils.

Really? I took it up to 55 watts and it handled it like a champ, that was my preferred wattage before i went nickel coils

Edit: my bad i disnt realize you were talking about the starre tank with atlantis coils, ignore me haha

Hey now,,,I've had really good luck with the Stock OCC coils for the subtank as well...the only time I get dry hits is if I crank the .5 ohm coils above 25 watts...the first time I rebuilt one I got dry hits because the wicking be tricky on them things, I found I had to use a little less cotton than normal...that being said Kanger's QC is famous for being hit and miss....

I didn't get a single Aerotank coil that worked right, I mean out of several packs, and of different resistances...I had to rebuild every one to keep from throwing that thing against the wall....so I wouldn't suprise me that there's bound to be a few bad apples floating around in the OCC variety....not need to be hatin'....we all here to be happy and sub ohm vapin' :)

Good place to pick up the Goliath? Not to worried about a few extra bucks, but reliable and fairly quick shipping?

Well after a week of the use on the Silo Beast, I am extremely happy with it. After all the tanks I have tried it is the first one that I think I am willing to pick up another. I am using Atlantis V2 coils and I am loving everything about it

I got the ud Zephyrus and man I'm I love. It's got it all! But my dumb ass fired the stock coil while it was dry By accident :( but the rebuildable section is nice 4 3mm air holes. Can't wait till I get some stock coils. Hopefully they make some ni200 ones.

I just ordered some Vapor Shark Atlantis TC coils to try out with the Beast. Question, have any of you had a build up of juice under the coil in the bottom section? Mine got so bad I tipped the tank to take a puff and it dripped out of the air flow slots. I'm thinking maybe juice builds up on the bottom of the top rubber seal (the one they are replacing with a newer version) and leaks down into the bottom of the tank.

Yea that happens with mine, i figured it was cause i cut out the seal to make the bore bigger.

Darn. If that is normal, I think I will stop using this tank. The top fill is nice, but the leaking isn't worth it. I just cleaned it and put in a new coil to see if it happens again. If it does, it's back to the Starres and Lemo 2's.

OK, so I put an actual Beast coil in (not that it should matter) and ran the tank dry. Removed the coil to check for leaking and it's bone dry. So far, so good.

Is there an thing to this leaking issue on the beast ? It looks like a real winner but not if it floods the base.

With any top fill tanks (like the lemo 2 and Silo Beast) you have to make sure you close the airflow when filling to create a vacuum. This will help with the leaking. It also helps to close it when not in use-especially if you tend to put it in your pocket or lay it on its side.

I'm excited. It will be my 1st rta. Did a decent amount of research, seamed like the way to go. I'm definitely finding I like to build vs. Using stock coils. Seamd like it will be perfect for me

Goliath deck is kinda small :/ the Zephyrus has a much bigger deck and the post sxrews don't cut the wire at all.
The Zephyrus didn't come alive till I used nickel and 50j @480 so much vapor I can choke

Just thought Id offer my opinion on the Zephyrus. I've only had it for 2 days but already I can say that it blows the Starre out of the water. Flavor is amazing and the vapor production is wonderful. The stock .3 ohm coil is wonderful, but I just built a dual coil setup on the RBA deck that comes in at .21 and just WOW! Flavor is amazing and vapor production is plentiful at just 40 watts. For those that want to try, I did 6 wraps of 24 gauge around a 2.5mm rod.

Edit: wicking is a bit difficult, was working fine one minute, then boom dry hit. Going to order some NI200 and try again.

Are you using a DNA device or a Yihi chipped device? I want to try a ni200 build in my Zephyrus but wondering if I have to space the coils on an IPV4.

Both but I use the ipv4 more

Do you have to space the ni200 coils on the IPV4? I know you have to with DNA devices, but unsure about the IPV4. My coil building tool builds perfect contact coils and was hoping I wouldn't have to build spaced coils. Although, if I have to build spaced I can always coil it like a parallel coil and carefully separate the two strands.

Its less of a hassle with hot spots with spaced. Just build a 2.5mm ten wrap dual coil with 30g and you'll be golden. Just pull the coil apart and press together and it will be perfectly spaced.

Thank you I was a little worried about the .3ohm coil

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Oh i should have specified, i hated the .3 ohm coil. It was way too hot for me, if you dropped the wattage then it didnt perform well. I used the .5 ohm coil at 50 watts and i was very happy.

Just got my Zephyrus yesterday and it's already tried to kill me. In the process of taking it apart, was trying to screw the base off. well, the AFC ring came with it and the sharp edge around the bottom cut me like a steak knife! bled all over my desk at work, it was magical...-_-... screwing the top cap off to do the top fill has also been kicking my ass as I managed to just screw it on and off, without getting to the topfill portion. Finally got to it now, just letting it soak and see how she vapes when I get off work. Will be posting pics on the new IPV4 and my review when I get off work.

so there's the zephyrus on my IPV Mini v2. Despite its rampant blood lust and stubborn behavior I have to say the vape is incredibly satisfying. It's not overwhelming, the flavor is great and the vapor production satisfies me. So long as this holds up and it doesn't try to murder me again, it may take my top spot For favorite tanks. I like the idea of the RBA section, but have yet to build/use it.

Sitting atop the new IPV4 is my Atlantis v1 with the ICV 5ml topcap and VaporShark ni200 coil. I haven't figured out how temp control works so once I do, I'll be sure to let yall know how it works out. Anyone have a tutorial on this?

That's all for now folks, I think I'll relax on buying any new tanks.

Let me know how the nickel build goes.

Just wanted to update you, the Zephyrus RBA deck with a dual 30ga 2.5mm nickel build at 50J and 480 degrees is amazing. Vapor production is on par with my original Turbo RDA, but is much cooler. I prefer cooler vapes as I cant get as much vapor with hotter builds. Gotta figure out the wicking technique on the Zephyrus though, no matter how little cotton I use it seems like it doesn't want to wick.

I'm watching that video you suggested on the other thread right now. I seriously need to invest in a syringe or 2 for when I need to empty a tank lol.
