So when i got the email that the zephyrus was in stock i said ef it and ordered one even tho i just ordered the silo beast. It came in already  i have about 1 tank through it and i can say i hate it, i am so disappointed. You would think with how big the chimney and air holes on the base is it would be free flowing and to me it was quite restrictive and the tank would get really hot. So hot there was condensation from the juice inside the tank. I was on my dimitri because right now i do not have a regulated device. I will give it one more try when i get my geeco zero temp mod on monday but i dont have hope it will be better, i hope the silo beast doesnt let me down. Only one ive enjoyed are the isub and the atlantis v2 with the .5 ohm coil

Ps. I could not for the life of me take the top off to top fill. I had to get pliers and twist it

That sucks...there's nothing worse than a big let down like that....kinda like how my Fogger V2 ended up in the trash after I had to take the base apart and tinker with it...it only worked good for 2 tankfuls and then I had to keep messing with it...I am sorry it's such a crappy vape for you but thank you for the heads up....sometimes a bad review from an actual user and not a "pro" reviewer can save a lot of headaches for others. Thank you for letting us know and again, I am sorry it was such a bummer :)

I take all reviews with a grain of salt, I always say vaping is a very personal journey....and everyone's tastes may and do differ. I haven't had a chance to try the Atlantis V2 yet....I skipped on buying the V1, I got to try it but I was waiting for the cotton coils to come out over the whole wicking debauckle :)

I really the Arctic, but I can understand why someone wouldn't at the same time...I don't expect anyone to like something just because I do, all I can do if give my opinion on something and if you like it as well then great...and if you don't well than I am sorry and let's see what we can do about finding you something you do like :)

I have no problem with RTA's, I am a classic Kayfun fanboy and shameless about it...I have one Authentic Lite Plus V2, still have 2 lite V1's clones, and 2 Lite V2s clones....I sold my 3.1 clone because I had the Hcigar one and the edges we so sharp on the metal tank sections they kept cutting my fingers and when you're on blood thinners that's a big no beuno :) I also have an authentic Mini V2.1. I got that because I heard they were going to discontinue it and I wanted to try it...If I had known that all the clones were going to come out a month after the last ones sold out I would have waited...I love the little thing but it's so damn touchy I hate to love it and love to hate it....I am no stranger to buying something then hating it but wanted to try it. It's the same with the sub ohm tanks...same thing, different vape.... Each to their own :)

For people who ordered the Beast, watch your email. Beyond Vape sent me an email saying they have changed the top seal on the tank. They want you to email them your order # so they can send you out the new revised version. Just a heads up. Mine went to my spam folder for some reason.

This is copied and pasted:

Dear Valued Silo Beast Customers,

We apologize, but the wrong airflow seal was installed on the first run of the Silo Beast. The current seal still produces great vapor and flavor, but we would like to send all Beast owners an updated wide bore seal over the next few weeks. This will give you the option of choosing the seal that you prefer, however, please note that all future Silo Beasts will come standard with the updated seal.

To expedite the process, please contact [email protected] and provide us with one of the following:

Order NumberAddress Again we apologize for any inconvenience. Thank you and Vape On!

Yea i noticed in the reviews it looked like that seal would restrict airflow, i was thinking when i got it i would remove it or punch it out somehow.

Just got the Beast and short section. Both have the same airflow seal. Rugdogg, now you've got me thinking of modifying just one of them to see the difference. If I somehow screw it up, I have another from the other section. I don't think it would be difficult to modify it, though.

What you could do is just not fill the tank up all the way and take that seal off completely just to see the difference. Just dont lay it on its side or tilt too much

Where did you find the Freemax Starre? I can't find a US vendor that has any in stock.
The freemax star is supposedly the same as the Maganus DVC by Vapeston.

Warning do not believe the wattage recommendations on this though

The.5 coil needs to be fired at about 50-70w to get the flavor. The .02 coil needs even more. This is an excellent sub tank but needs high watts to work its best. If you only have a 30w or so device my advice is to stick with a a kanger mini or nano.

First impressions of the Silo Beast, Very well made, feels solid. I also received the email from Beyond Vape but I think that is a plus to see a company to care about a product they already sent out the door. Back to the Device, It is heavier than a lot of tanks. The threads seem well machined, very smooth. I am already in Love with the top fill makes it very easy. The first time I tried it, I flooded it out. I let it sit for a while and working perfectly. I am getting decent airflow out of it. I don't have it fully open but I get a very smooth hit from it. I think this one is going to be my tank as of right now but it is only Day 1. Please remember everyone is different and some might not like but it works for me so far.

Fuck me and my Subtank Mini. These coilheads are pretty frustrating. 0.5 ohms, one coilhead handles 70vg and 30w, another one is struggling at 21w with the same juice. There is absolutely no manner of consistency and i don't like that. I like when devices work the same every single time i go and pick one up and that is not the case with these OCC heads. Get your shit together Kanger, this is annoying.

I took the suggestion of removing the seal at the top of the Beast once the juice level was low. It makes a world of difference. Transformed it into feeling like one of my Starres for airflow and my drip tip wasn't getting hot. I can see why they changed it. FWIW, I'm running an Aspire Atlantis 1.0 ohm coil in this. Tried the .5 and didn't like it.
Overall, I am liking the tank. The only thing that bothers me is that I almost feel like it was released too quickly. Already changes the airflow seal, and now I see the review on The Vapor Channel and he said Beyond told him that are going to smooth out the edges of the AFC ring so the cut outs have smoother edges with the more recent production runs.

@rudogg760 yours came with the RBA section too? Thats comforting.
Yes. The standard .3 ohm coil was restrictive and the tank got really hot. The build that is in the rba comes out to .32 and it does not get hot whatsoever. Not sure why.

Glad to see it made a difference. Can you elaborate on why you didnt like the .5 ohm coil? Im going to try it out with the .5 ohm coil n then the nickel coils.

The .5 ohm just didn't seem to have as much flavor. I bumped it to 35 watts and could tell if I had a second or two longer pull, it wold have turned into a dry hit. Maybe I got a bad one, but the 1.0 ohm at 42-44 is just right for me.

I am using the .5 coil with no problem at 35 watts, 85vg/15pg at 6 nic without a problem. I have Atlantis 2 coils with the 4 large holes when the one came with it goes bad.

$40 is to much for a tank especially when you can get a Herakles or Starre for as low as $22 and I just don't believe that the Silo will outperform either in flavor or vapor.

I must have got a bad one. Tried it at 35 and could tell it was on the brink of dry hitting. Another thing I've noticed is that after about 3/4 of the tank used it gets gurgling. Looks like the condensation builds up between the seal and drip tip. A quick swabbing fixes it. On the fence between this and my Lemo 2 regarding which I like better at the moment. Leaning toward the Beast right now, though.

I have been getting good vapor so far, I tried the Starre and it didn't appeal to my style of vaping. The quality of workmanship seems better with this one. I have also tried the vapeston magnus which retails at 40 dollars. The top fill you have to experience the ease of it

Yeah, the Starre and the Maganus are pretty much the same tanks. They both go through juice like crazy. I've got 35 coils left to use with my Starre tanks. After that, I don't think I will be buying any more. The Atlantis coils seem to have better flavor to me. Right now I'm just running my Starres, Lemo 2s, and the Beast. The Starres can use the Atlantis coils, so it isn't a total loss. I've found with the Starres and the .5 ohm Atlantis coils that there is to much air flow and not enough vapor. Going to try the 1.0 Atlantis coils next and see how that goes.

The Starre most definitely has a cheaper quality thing going on... Which is unfortunate because it has a lot of potential. I like it...decent air and good flavor but man does this thing feel cheap. Especially the AFC ring.

Has anyone else had the press fit base come apart on them yet? Mine has done it at least 5 times already and I've only had it for two weeks. Sometimes it comes apart just from unscrewing to fill. It's a total pain in the ass.

Looking to buy another sub ohm tank to try. Currently have the Freemax Starre (unfortunately the air flow does not open all the way on mine but still works wonderfully). Looking at both the Kanger Subtank Plus and the UD Zephyrus. Liking them both because of the provided rba base. Anyone have any suggestions? Will be using whatever I get on my IPV4.

I don't have one yet but considering the Silo Beast. You can put Atlantis nickel coils in it so you can use the temp mode on your IPV4

If you were to recommend a tank to upgrade from the Starre, what would it be?
I cannot give you my recomendation because i have not used the starre or maganus. Im sorry. I have used the arctic, herakles, isub, subtank, zephyrus, and atlantis v2. From all those i like the v2 the most. I sub in second, and the rest were crap in their stock coil forms. My main love is the goliath but that is an rta.

Ha, Kanger's awesome QC strikes again...I am not "ha'ing" at you but your situation...I had that experience with the aerotank dual coils which thought were all complete crap and the OCC coils have been light years of difference better and constant performance from coil to coil, at least in the ,5 ohm head that came with the tank and the pack of them I bought...I run them at 25 watts and Since march I'm still using my second stock OCC coil and it's worked great for the last two weeks, before that I used the one that came with it and then rebuilt it and have rebuilt it again but am waiting for this one to give out before I use the first one again...at this rate my 5 pack will last the rest of the year....I am sorry you've got a crap set, I always say that I believe that with mass production comes mass QC lack of action...it's possible for a bad batch of coils to "slip" threw with so many being made. It sucks and I am sorry it happened...but for what it's worth, at least I know I am not crazy in regards to the aerotank coils, same problem, different setup, still Kanger...Thank you :)

ive only had it for half a tank so i dont want to comment about the flavor yet even tho its really good haha and the clouds...oh man im loving the clouds. i think ive found my new favorite sub ohm tank. still not as good as my goliath but its beat every sub ohm tank ive had. i did 6 consecutive pulls and it performed great, not a dry hit although it did get a lil warm, it was nothing like the herakles, arctic, and zephyrus. this is all witht he seal opened up of course. i still need to tinker with it and i cant wait to throw a nickel coil in it, but i will wait till this coil is done.
