So far i could not enjoy my atlantis v2 with the .3 ohm coil. I ran 4 tanks through it and its either too hot or if i turn it down the flavor dissapears. Changing out the coil to the .5

I think with a lot of this sub ohm tanks, the .5 to .6 coils produce the FLAVOR, my herkales has the .6 my matrix has the .6.. The .2 FOR me is for a mech box/tube mod, the .2 heads just don't play right with regulated box, I'm about to exchange one of my MATRIX TO THE HIGH VOLTAGE TANK, that tanks comes with .25 so will see!

I gave up on mine after I kept getting dry hits at 21 watts. Wtf. may try it again with the nickel coils once I get my TC mod to see if any improvement
Maybe it's just me, but I've wasted so much money on subtanks I'm ashamed to total it up.

Every one I've tried is much too hot, and I really don't like the mini-explosion when you begin to take a puff. I've never had what I consider to be good flavor and when I cut the power trying to get a cooler vape things get even worse in that respect.

So far I've tried an Atlantis, a Kanger Nano, a Horizon, and a Melo. The Melo and Horizon are the best of the lot but still nothing that I can vape for more than a couple of puffs. I've tried various resistance coils, various airflows, lower nic levels, and obviously different power levels. If I"m set to 18 watts or so I can get decent vapes (not much vapor though) but the taste is almost nonexistent. The specs on the coils specify a minimum of 20 to 30, but I'll be damned if I can make that work.

Power has come from an IStick 50, an IStick 30, a Kanger 40, and a Sigelei 30. Didn't even attempt the MVP 20 watt even though I can't get to 20.

For now, the sub tanks are being cleaned and going back into their boxes. I have a few Nautilus and they haven't disappointed me yet.

Like I said, it just might be me. I see so many glowing reports but I've yet to see what the fuss is about. I'm thinking of the Emporer's New Clothes story right now.

Pretty much my exact thoughts. Im trying to like my atlantis v2 and its gotten a lot better with the .5 ohm coil in it. But its still not something i LOVE. I think i will give up on sub ohm clearomizers and stick with my goliath, Only thing that hasnt let me down.

It's good to know that there are at least two of us. I'd still like to figure out what I'm doing wrong so I can experience the massive flavors others are talking about.

I'm getting the best flavor from .25 ohm, temp limited at under 30 watts on a gimlet. But each person has their own style, so YRMV. Without temp limit (and since my kanger is a disaster, I don't know about anything but the GCT), I concur - better results with .5 to 1.0. I don't get anything pleasant at higher watts, e.g., over 30. But I can good flavor from a dual coil 1.5 with lots of wickage on an I clear.
Is the GCT that much better than sub-ohm without TC? Not really. But I'm hoping for more nickel options soon.
There are other variables. The coil, your Vaping style and your juice all affect your results.
I have taken apart coils from kanger ST, atlantis and GCT. They are very different. And they get icky quickly.
The coil construction, how the coils are configured, the type and amount of fiber, how it is installed, the way juice and air enter, all have to make a big difference. I'm surprised we don't have a thread talking about that. Or maybe I'm the only geek taking them apart? I found for example, that the GCT coil has 4 holes for juice, but 2 of them are actually blocked. I'm not complaining, it gets plenty of juice flowing (at least the way I vape). But people who report dry hits might not agree.

Ok ok,
Here's how I rank my sub ohm tanks...
1.HIGH VOLTAGE TANK
2.HERKALES
3.MATRIX
4.ARCTIC
Before you guys install ur coils, make sure u saturate them, be patient!!! Clean the tank, scrub it, soak the coil, start low watts, I don't suggest using a mech mod on this tanks.... To get the full benefit...
The HIGH VOLTAGE TANK, HAS the most airflow of them all!! The flavor is exceptional, the vapor is dense... The coil heads are .3 on my sig 150 vaping at 60 watts WOW

Are u dripper??
yes I drip too but I think that these tanks are coming along nicely. I started vaping in the days of the KR808's and cartomizers. I then went to the Riva 510 and went into the dripping and mech mod side of the house. Last year I retried the regulated side and have been loving it. I too have been experimenting with various tanks just to see how they compare. These tanks are giving RDA's a run for their money. A lot better than the original tanks systems, we have come a long way. Right now I rank the Freemax Starre and Vapston Maganus as my top picks.

Just ordered the isub tank from innokin. I had given up on sub ohm clearomizers but for the price of $15 and the fact that its a single horizontal coil that only hits at 30 watts i figure its going to be like the subtank which i would enjoy if not for the spitback. But the coils on the isub tank has a mesh to help with spitback. I will update when i recieve it. If anybody wants a ln atlantis v2 with the two coils lightly used paypal me $20 i paid $40 at my b&m

I agree the HIGH VOLTAGE TANK is the bad boy of the bunch !
The coils are .2, I've had mine up to 100w and it is insane you need all that air.

...which i would enjoy if not for the spitback.

Cutting a little round screen to fit under your drip tip solves this problem. I had my Subtank in my shirt pocket when I was mowing the lawn and a piece of grass or something found its way onto my coil (Yuck and much confusion), so I went to Wal-Mart and bought a stainless steel coffee filter and with a pair of scissors cut out a little circle just big enough to fit between my drip tip and Subtank. Two birds, one stone. It solved the spit-back issue as well and it can be changed out or cleaned as often as necessary.

I appreciate the advice. But for as many tanks as there are, i would like to think i shouldnt have to modify mine. Im not much of a do it yourselfer haha

Yes, one would like to think that, but wait until a gnat or something finds its way onto your coil (can happen with any atty). You might change your mind. Seriously, the 7 bucks I paid for the filter media which I got while I happened to be at the store anyway was insignificant and I wouldn't exactly call cutting a circle with a pair of scissors a Do-it-Yourself Project. Suit yourself though. That's what its all about.

Well, the first vape off my Subtank and 50watt iStick scared me! I thought everyone had gone crazy! I had to turn the watts way down. People don't tell you that you can get great clouds and flavor at 15watts, but you can. Now it depends on the eliquid I vape, and I still don't like vaping above 25w, because the sweetness of my dessert juice is gone.
But I love my Subtanks, and ordered the Nano, too. I can't go back to a Nautilus or Aerotank, not happily.

Lately i've been liking my Sub Nano on the go. Decent vapor, flavor is still kinda meh, but acceptable when all things are considered. Plus it sits flush on my NES mod! :D

Awww yeeaa, just picked up this bad boy. Atlantis v2 got the .3 coil on it and its nice. Gotta max out my ivp mini 2 haha only have one tank threw it and i like it way more than my herakles and arctic. Still doesnt touch my goliath tho. Ill update as i use it.

New here just now. Very interested in know more options on clearomizers.
I ordered mine, and am waiting for it to arrive any day now. Atlantis V2. How are the .03 coils vs the current .05 ones?? Hoping for a much better taste & increase in wattage. Also, where we can get those new coils from. Let me know. Thanks.

.3 ohm is hot, too hot for me. I couldnt enjoy it. And if i opened up the top airflow to cool it down the flavor would suffer. I enjoyed the .5 coil head better, not too hot and flavor was still good.

My wife runs her subtank around 16-18W at all times with the .5 coil in there. I personally like a warmer vape but the flavor on hers is always great! I do notice she goes through coils quicker than I do even though she vapes less than I do, I'm thinking that may be because she likes sweet, fruity flavors for her ADVs.

@WARCHOP37 im at work so i only got 3 hits on it in the restroom so far, i HAD to try it haha. flavor is really good, im starting off at 25 watts for now. the airflow looks ridiculously big if you notice it next to my atlantis v2 but its more restrictive than the atlantis, those huge slots are just for show i guess. it has a poly carbonate tank but i will not baby it, i will throw all my citris and cinnamon juice at it. for $18 shipped im not complaining so far, ill update you guys tomorrow more. gotta go to the dr in mex tonight after work.

Hi @rudogg760 , I hope your Dr visit goes well. I have not heard of this tank before but I will try to explain the airflow as I understand it. A tank can have Massive Massive air slots, adjusting screws and all the bells and whistles available but airflow is more dependent on how much air flow the coil will allow. If your coil has small holes in the bottom of it, the flow will be restrictive no matter how big the air slots are. Although your new tank physically has a larger air flow slot than your Atlantis, I bet if you looked at the bottom of the coils, you will find the Atlantis has much larger holes for the air to flow up into the coil assembly. Hope this helps and keep on vaping my friend.

@TheVapingDevil you are correct, the atlantis coil is a vertical coil that is wide bore, the isub coil is a horizontal coil like the sub tank, its much more restrictive. i do enjoy the pull on the isub i will admit. and thank you, just getting a refill on some meds, the mexican healthcare system for americans is amazing haha i live 20 min from the border and my work insurance covers everything in mexico.

I have a kanger sub tank plus and nano and love them both. Great taste and lots of vape, you can rewick the occ coils and the rta coil works well when wicked correctly. I started with the eGo one and it worked well but i quickly started to over vape it and the small pre built coils could not keep up and burnt taste resulted. I also had the Artic tank and was not happy with the flavor so i traded it back in for my subtank plus.

New sub-ohm tank coming out tomorrow. The Silo Beast by Beyond Vape. 4.5-5ml tank with optional 2.5 ml top, 1.2 and 0.5 ohm coils, it takes Atlantis/Atlantis 2 coils, wide bore drip tip, massive Cylon-style airflow (so say we all) and..its top filling! The price is $40. Supposedly you can vape it at 150 watts. Supposedly.

$12.55 for the isub tank from innokin :-o passin the deal to you guys. Put coupon code YEAHBABY to get it to $12.55. I like it. The flavor is excellent, the vapor isnt too crazy. It sits nice at 26 watts. I took it to 35 watts n it couldnt keep up. Do not chaib vape at 35 watts with max vg. I have put citrus and cinnamon juices and have not had a problem. http://www.vaporbeast.com/innokin-isub-tank.html?acc=c4ca4238a0b923820dcc509a6f75849b

Was about to just buy it and a pack of coils but figured I better check at least one review first. I'm fine with having to modify a tank's 510 for use on a hybrid mech mod but I'm not sure I want it always relegated to a regulated. I was starting to get ok with that when I saw the machine oil on the coil head. :(

Mine didnt have machine oil but i did see that review where it had it. Like the gentleman said, they should have not put the coil head in. But theyre cheap enough to where i threw out the one installed lol i know i shouldnt have to but it was so cheap i didnt care

to update, i love love love love love. my atlantis v2. but only with the new .5 ohm coil. like ive said ive had a lot of sub ohm tanks and didnt like any of them. well aside from the ISUB from innokin, thats a good back up tank. my .5 ohm atlantis coil took a shit and no shops here had the v2 so i bought a v1 coil and orderd the v2 online. putting the v1 coil made me meh about the atlantis. i still enjoy it but am looking forward to my v2 coils getting here today. i just orderd the ipv4 and am wondering if it is worth it to get the nickel coils for the atlantis now that i will have temp control. anybody deal with the nickel atlantis coils?

When you say "the new coil" do you mean the OCC coils or something even newer? I got the OCC coils and they are definitely better thank the original, but I still don't get great flavor out of it.

Also, just because the herakles can use Atlantis coils, doesn't mean the Atlantis can use herakles coils. Doesn't work. Sadness.

There are the new .5 occ coil heads for the v1 and there are new new .5 occ coil heads for the v2 most shops ive apoken with dont understand that

These are both .5 ohm occ coil heads. But the one in the package is the v2 it has 4 holes in the base for airflow, the juice holes are way bigger, and the diameter of the coil is wider

Oooo cool. Thanks for clarifying. Do the v2 coils work in a v1 tank? Maybe that's what mine needs. The flavor is better or just more cloudage?

To be honest it has more coudage, you can go higher in watts(im hitting it at 55w) and to me the flavor is better. Yes it will fit the v1 tanks but ive heard that the v1 does not have sufficient airflow to keep thw coil cool. But that might just be with the .3 ohm coil. Pm me with $3 to cover shipping and ill send you a coil ifn youd like. These coils just came in but im thinking of going temp control on my atlantis so i might not use these as much.
