Those new coils for the pro fit the star. Get the crown...Best of both then.
I hear the flavor on the crown is unbelievable
You'd think I would own at least one by now...I think those pro coils have edged out the crown by a slim margin on flavor.
'Well that just contridicted what I was watching. Most say the crown edges the starre pro. big questions will be in terms of the NI200 coils....
Maybe that's what I've seen referenced in comparison. Ni... I need to stop watching youtube and reading reviews.

See, that's what I'm talking about. Had my damn mind set on a black crown when they became available, came to this thread. Y'all had me seeing ALIENS, decided that's right up my weird ally. And now I'm back to wanting that damn crown, in black of course. I'll never get a tank at this rate.
sorry dude. The Alien is really nice but I gave mine up to the GF so now I need another one I think. I will still get to use the black alien so instead of getting another, starting poking around and have been reading great things about the Starre and Crown. Starre was my first choice but the top fill shut off seems a bit wanky and seems like 7 out of 10 are leaning towards crown. hahah

the top fill looks much simpler design without the flooding possibilities. Thats the only thing that is making me cautious of the Starre Pro. I have the original starre in 5 ml vs 4 ml with the Pro. So prob just get the starre dual TC coils and then the crown for the best of both lololo. I see the crown is coming in black finish next week.
Amanda did yours arrive yet? My Alien is coming for me tomorrow or the next day. I'm sure I'll be happy as I don't consider myself a true sub ohmer. I have never gone lower than .5 ohms and tend to mainly build around 1ohm. So maybe the aliens will change that due to the freaky brain procedures they perform on me during my abduction.

What device are you using @Daintanee? The crown should run between 20 to 80 depending on coils

It did! Actually it was shipped from NY on Saturday and arrived here on Monday
So, with the stock coils if you do mtl it gurgles - so it's a lung hitter. I had built one Ti coil, and then decided to mess around and it took me 10 failed coils to get the next one right! Wicking caused me a headache also, but today it's working well with Ti. I have the white one, and it's really pretty! I actually prefer the flavor on my billows, but probably because I can alternate mtl with lung hits on that (which brings out different flavor notes).

the obs with your TI coil versus your kanger with a ti coil - which has better flavor?
Well, I only use the RBA bases in both - no question the OBS. Partly because I get dry hits so easily in the STM! But if I was judging overall flavor probably not an enormous difference if the STM actually behaved. I think flavor comes down to chamber size and build in the end, and if they're similar the flavor just isn't going to change that much. I've had exellent flavor from the STMs with my own Ti builds - but the liquid feed is a pain in the STM.

I'm pretty damn happy with the crown. Great flavor,good clouds. The top fill is awesome. The .5 & ,25 coils use stainless wire, I think. It's my daily driver atm. Knocked the silo beast down a notch.

Istick 50 watt & kbox 40 watt. And don't you say anything else about anything bc I'm going to be out of this world and am going to love my new tank. I debated on the billows, though. Oh well, maybe in future.
I don't regret getting the OBS at all - I've used nothing but that and the billows for the past 2 days!

I looked at the top fill on both the Crown and the Starre Pro. The crown looks great and easy. I hesitate with the Starre Pro only because there is the wanky shut off that needs to be turned off and on or the tank will "flood massively" as stated by the manufacturer and other reviews. I have had at times forgotten to turn my obs and Triton back on after filling and that is not a pleasant experience at all once you realize that the obtrusive hot hit was your own forgetfulness lololol... The coils on the crown look outstanding and there is an rba option as well. Still on the fence but I think the crown will win but I see the black version is not due out for another week.

I have five subtanks
All have the original RBAs, some of which I've dremelled out the channels. I do have one V2 base, but I don't think I've build that with Ti yet.
For anyone interested, Smoke Evolution will have the black Crown tanks in stock tomorrow. Just saying... lololol

@TheVapingDevil look just send me your billows v2 for a few days so i can test one out and decide if i want to buy one and Ill shut up and stop complicating things
You know that's Prob very doable once the crown gets here. I'm loving the flavor on the billows with ti coils. Once the crown arrives I'll Prob hit that hard for days before I do or don't recommend it.
