Tgif..i need a drinks

I second that....damn VU is so sloooow I can barely load or edit anything.
Anyhoo, I decided to do in a couple birdies with one build... ;)

Molicel test + built the VapePorn/Asmodus VICE RDA + brought my old Classique Kamagong wood mod outa wraps.

A 0.58 Ω build, dual-coils of 6 wraps of 26ga Kanthal on 3mm. The Moli's are rocking.

Milly's also being pissy today....here's to ya!

*edit*
I'm pretty surprised how much flavor this big RDA has, it's really quite nice. :)

Not bad at all, I am liking it, not use to using 2.5mm coils. Using the biggest airflow but with a 510 and 510 adapter . With the 810 it has tons of airflow surprisingly

I can appreciate tons of airflow on a single coil. Is it worth it to grab one? I tend to run low builds (around .16) on a mech squonker. Think it has enough air for that and would hold up to it without heating up too much?

I would say yes, and for the low build the coils that come with it is a 0.25 and I cut down the large airflow cap so I would say yes reminds me of the b2k airflow. I run 0.15 builds in my citadel and that's enough airflow for me lol

I don't have three hands, but the power lineup for tonight:

Olde skool parallel authentic wood Mech \w RDA, a long forgotten reg power sqounker from the Vaping Biker, and a classic RTA on an underrated regulated mod. Dual 18650 batts on all of 'em.

Yessir....I'm good. :)

Hey guys I haven't been in here very long but had a question for you...I got a buddy who makes coils and he just created an online page and is doing a giveaway. Is there a place he can post in VUF or even in here? Thanks for any help!

~Wesyde1
If he creates a member account, he could get a Vendor Badge and post his site/deals/giveaways in one of his 2 dedicated threads.

Or a member that's not self promoting could post a link to a deal they know about.

I'm pretty sure he's a member in here already but I know he's not a vendor as he just created the site and wants to do the giveaway by the end of January. But I could post the link in another thread then?

Wasn't saying you couldn't post it here. Wouldn't be a good idea for a vendor member to ask other members to post their site around the forum.
If they're already a member, he too could start a thread for his giveaway and we will take it from there to get them a badge so they can post their own promotions.

Yeah it was my idea to see if he could post in VUF but he's not asking me to post for him(he's a good guy!)

Though I would post for him if he'd let me which he probably wouldn't haha

Ketchup works. I've used it before with good results.

The reason I like the vinegar/lemon (or lime) juice bath is because of the fluidity of that solution. Particularly for Vaporz Cloud type mech switches, but also any mech parts that have harder to reach areas, like between the spring thing contacts and the body of the housing. Of course this is good for engravings or patterns too. (As is ketchup)

I leave deeply tarnished pieces in a glass jar with a cover on it overnight. That does the heavy lifting which then turns a regular cleaning/polishing back into a regular cleaning/polishing.

I use quick dry non-residue electronic contact cleaner in the VC switches to flush out the vinegar and juice from the spring things. Yes, you do want the kind that doesn't leave residue. High quality isopropyl alcohol will work for this too.

Recently I put my XXX switches in the ultrasonic using the vinegar/juice as the solution. Right over the transducer in the middle. Of course by itself a USC does nothing for patina, but using the vinegar/juice for the USC solution this was the surprising result for the brass one after 4 180 seconds cycles. Like I say I had it positioned right over the transducer pointing the u s waves straight into the housing. It got the outside too :)

I use a Cape Cod Horsehair Detail Brush for the final cosmetics with nooks and crannies, but avoid polishing onto delicate engravings/etchings... they look better with a natural patina in cohort with just a superficial, subtle hint of gloss that touches just the high points enough to bring back life to art. If you keep rubbing it long enough, it is possile to demolish art, and I mean literally. I treat my hand engraved Hagermann tubes (none of which happen to be Purge Mods, BTW) and Cipher tubes like real pieces of art. Which they are. I wouldn't soak any of my CNC engraved Purge Mods in ketchup, vinegar or lime juice either. The sharp edges of the engravings matter, and they all matter a whole lot actually. So no heavy rubbing on those.

With my finely etched tubes like Ronin Mods (I have an NYC and a Turbo in brass) or Deathwish Modz (I have the Evil Twin and the Baphomet in brass, the G.O.A.T. V2 in copper) the etchings are not getting polished or soaked either. The same goes for my Rig (Legacy LE copper - Face On Mod). I only rub them with my bare hands, and before I do, I always make sure that the skin of my hands is completely free from concrete dust, fine sand, cement, metal dust,... anything that could permeate skin and make it abrasive.

Are you saying even a microfiber cloth with no chemical will mar lightly engraved mods? I ask because the DWM Wicked Witch is very lightly engraved, and I don't want to rub any of it away.

A good quality microfiber towel by itself causes the kind of marring that hardly anyone can visibly detect with the naked eye, at least if you keep the mod away from the hard stitches around the edges of the towel. So that's one of the reasons why I only use the bigger sized ones that, in my small country, I typically can't find that easily without walking the extra mile of searching specifically on places like Amazon Germany.

The water that was used to do the final rinse of the microfiber towels after they've been washed─but before you let them dry─also matters a lot, as microfiber cloth doesn't react too well to fabric softener, so I've been told. You don't need to use a whole gallon of decalcified water to do the final rinse, but... depending on how tap water is like in the area that you live in, you might not want to let normal non decalcified tap water dry out inside the cloth. You want to verify the softness of the cloth after it's been dried, by comparing it to that of the ones that have never been washed before. Calcium crystalizes into tiny microscopic particles while the water dries out.

Some people swear by soft nitrile gloves because they believe that the microfiber cloth by itself is what's responsible for lightly marring soft metal objects. Personally, I, refuse to believe that. It's all about the─mostly calcium and, to a minor extent, some other minerals also in addition to that─residue resulting from letting the microfiber cloth dry in a too careless manner.

Frequent removal of oxidation does, however, accelerate slight removal of metal from the object's soft metal surface especially if it's made from copper. That's just because the polished copper re-oxidizes so incredibly fast that you can make an entire closet full of microfiber towels turn all black in no time.

As an aside, take a look on Instagram... nobody else except noobs are polishing their copper or brass Deathwish tubes. In major ways the brand is defined by looking antique. It's raw and it's rattling. Just how it should be. But my Barebones Kit and my LE Ghost Ship Kit are the gunmetal finish that looks just as stunning IMO.

He would be considered an Unlisted Vendor and all the rules of such would apply to him. He can do a give away here in the forum, in the contest forum... contest guidelines are pinned in the contest forum.

Saints toppling the G.O.A.T check (to be played out later )
20210117_150934.jpg
Or not  Biter sweet for me. Brees has always said he would play until he is a hindrance to the team. He announced his retirement earlier, and we got to see why. He was a hindrance to his team tonight. Another classy action from one on the classiest greats.

Not a Saints fan but once my team was out I was hoping Brees would get one last shot. Don't worry, Rogers and Co will eliminate the G.O.A.T
Think everyone pulls for Brees, such a great guy. He turned around a franchise, that will always be remembered. Idk, I think TB will be able to run all over GB, and I think they will utilize it. Another tribute to Brady, could care less about #'s, just winning. Should be a great game.

That's exactly it with Brees, it was tough watching him on the sidelines near the end of the game, can only imagine the thoughts going through his head. HOF career for sure. I think with the way Rogers is playing he'll match whatever TB does on offense and then some. Either way you're right, it's going to be a hell of a game.

He already signed with CBS :) I look forward to that. No way he will be anything less than fantastic at announcing.

Should mention as well, super classy out of Brady when asked, "likely Drews last game, what do you make of that"? Simply said, I will leave that up to Drew to talk to you about ??
I like how the Saints stole a play from the Bears book and pulled off a big pickup!

That was classy of Brady
