wow, unexpected vapemail. Screw set and stickers for Billets from Vapology, 4 days from order. And SXK Vapesnail and Bridg'd MTL inserts and some CBP from 3F, 14 days from order. Outstanding from both, imho.

I really like the Vapesnail clone.I've been using mine for probably a month or a little more, and like it so much i just got 2 more in a few days ago.

I'm hooked on the Vapeshell, so figure I will like the Snail. Better? We shall see. Changing the AF pin on the Bridg'd is a mother :cuss2:

I don’t think the Snail is a big enough improvement to warrant buying over your perfected vape with the shell.

Do I think it’s a better set up? I can only say yes; but it’s having the snail vs only knowing about the shell.

To me it was a complete package; looks, customizable to all vape styles without the need of extras...

If one buys a Shell, Boro, AF pins, condensation plug, you basically bought the Snail, just separately pieced.

For me personally,i would say yes it is a lot better, but then again my Vapeshell is a clone as well, and i hated it from the day i got it.I built that damn thing probably 10 different times and rewicked probably 15 more times, and got nothing but constant dry hits. The only reason i can figure is i use high vg in my juices, but yeah,i hated that thing,i haven't had any issues with the snail at all though.

All very true, but that's how I justified buying it. Because I love the Shell so much, I'm 99% sure I will like it at least as much, so there fore use. If I don't like it any better than the Shell, I'm ok with that.

That is my biggest enjoyment of the Snail... toss any juice, pretty much any type coil and vape.

No fancy wicking needed and it wicks 90/10- VG/PG just fine.

All my juice is max VG at 83-90

Shell is finiky to wick, I'll give that for sure. I had dry hits in the beginning, kept thinning and thinning. Turns out it was the lenght for me. Had to shorten them up a bit, then got better. I still miss though every now and then.

I'll have you know sir that I have that very Vapeshell in my possession as we speak and for whatever reason, it works great for me ?

However, I have it set up very tight using one of the Kindbright mtl deck inserts. I did have some trouble with it when I first got it from you and was setting it up for rdtl though. I also have a ton more experience with BB gear in general now too.

Hell,i forgot about that one, apparently it didn't teach me anything, because when i bought another BB,right off i went and bought another Vapeshell, just to have those same issues over again haha.

The length may have been my issue then,i would thin them, try it,thin, try, thin again, and then leak haha.
I did get leaking my first time with the snail, but after a rewick haven't had an issue since,so i'll happily stick with it,plus i like that if i do happen to screw up on a rewick,i don't have to empty the tank and take it all apart to rewick. My only con on the snail,is wondering how long that silicone plug will hold up.They include a spare, but i haven't seen those for sale separately.

What I want to find is an alternative item I can buy and a small punch to make those absorbent pads

Not an issue for those who use the Snail in MTL... but us wide open DL folk, whooshing air through are soaking those pads...

I have a spare pack, and alcohol dried the ones I’ve used thus far...

I’ll measure them with my calipers and find something like a leather punch to make a ton.

I was just thinking about that a few minutes ago. That price for the o-rings kit isn't bad at all since it includes that plug,i looked before and i could of sworn that plug alone was like $20,so for the whole kit not bad.I thought the same though, there has to be a way to make those pads.

vapinart might have them...haven’t looked there for them yet.

EVA foam paper pads can be had for $12 in 1.5mm thick sheets (10- 12x10) then its finding a hole punch the right diameter and that would be a lifetime worth

Just finding the correct name for the dense type pad they use to narrow down a google-fu

Somebody makes that leather punch for sure and they don't even have to be exactly the same size. A little bigger would actually be better. You can pressure fit them in there.

What is that? Like 8mm or something?

EDIT: Muji pads would work. Or Puffs.

I think they would also...

I was looking for something along the lines of felt, it has more of the same feel as those pads, come in large sheets, and yeah those leather punches you linked would do the trick.

You could use 2 thicknesses of pads and compress them in there. Heck, you could wad up a piece of ANY wicking material :)

Speaking of Vapeology.eu, they have some killer prices on some nice mech tubes there. Have you noticed the Broadsides and El Thunders (weird colors on those, though)? Somebody go buy those things so I don't have to. Pleeze!

Nope, I didn't even notice. I was just cruising BB stuff. Probably a damn good thing too :teehee: I kinda want one of each of those.

Wow, what is this? congrats on the win!! Outstanding
Aspire Mixx. You can also take it to 18350. Holds up to 24mm, but if you remove the black piece on the battery sleeve, it'll take a 25. Haven't spent a ton of time with it, yet. Terrible work week, but I'm off today, so gotta go through my RTAs. Need to get some 18350s, too. I have another one that will take those.

Great mail day :vapemail:
STNG and ETNA from trade with @inganeer , thank you my man. And couple of Asvape Zeta's from somewhere in China i can't remember, and when I can't remmeber, lol. At $7 and change, and absolute steal, but I had written them off. This to replace the one I traded to @gsmit1 :)

Those Zeta's are sharp looking. MTL? Oh, just looked it up and yep, guess they are. Okay, real tight MTL? I am being lazy. I am sure they are on you tube somewhere

My favorite looking MTL RTA hands down, and they vape well too :teehee: bit of a pain to build, not hard but just funky. Fairly tight mtl up to pretty loose mtl, imo. No dl, but they are tiny anyway, so you can't get much in there. 2 or 2.5ml I believe.
