In what universe is a series deck for 25 bucks for the Asgard Mini not a no brainer? Now I'm gonna have to finally grab that 30mm top piece for the XXX too.
The shipping stays the same with that heavy copper 30mm top piece.

Reporting in! @pizzadave80 included a set of 3mm Clapton coils ohming in at .15. The 21700 30 amp batteries he included are up to the challenge.. I'm using some mango/peach 70/30 at 3mg nic. If my calculations are right its vaping at 115 watts, but it sure doesn't feel like it. It's a comfortable, flavorful vape. I do believe I found my end game mech mod!

I got plenty now with what's coming. I know they keep pushing with regs and so forth.
But when suppliers here actually change the structure of their businesses so as to actually move the business from one state to another because the one they are in has actually stopped sales full stop. Which has/did happen, that aint no chicken licken little, thats reality here! One supplier changed the entire structure and business name to fall within the regs to keep up supplies here of flavours, vg and pg etc, again was no chicken little!

Well when the skies close on bases I've got gallons of PG and 100 nic on the cheap. I'll never use it all. Got a little teeny tiny Caliburn Koko today, to replace my dead pod. If this little sucker holds up, I'm a happy camper. I really, really like the Podstick I got the other day, but this one is more stealth, Podstick will still get used.

Not to mention they actually had some Dagger doors in stock. It comes with black carbon fiber, which I like, but they made about a dozen other sets, of which I love 4 or 5, but cannot find them anywhere. The one set they had in, were some of my favorites, so I was ecstatic.

Innovapes in NJ had them. I'm not getting any more until I can get the one I've been using situated. I'm trying to get the right coil type and position dialed in. If I leave the coils low (with the airflowdirected at the coil), the flavor isn't all that. If I raise it up, (the bottom part of the airflow is aimed at nothing, with only the top holes hitting the coil), the flavor gets better. That don't make no sense to me but I'm new to these. I'll figure it out but so far it's a bit finicky. I was expecting, 'Oh my god, this is the best ever!" Instead its, "Meh, not too bad I guess..."

This kit is a V2 dual deck with a bunch of colored caps. Ya gotta REALLY love airflow, I'll tell ya that LOL!
Yeah the AM isn't necessarily plug n play, but it IS a great RDA. One of the best imho.
I set mine up with the coils close to the airflow with the internal holes pointing dead on at the coils. You check this with the insert outside of the cap and on the deck.
With some attys, a little high or a little low (though usually not a little low) is best for flavor. With this one, for me, It's dead straight at the middle of the diameter of the coil.
Deathtrap v2 for the overpowered stack I got the other day. And a Sequoia rda for a different kind of vaping. Has a glass attachment that goes along with it. Pretty nice but for another forum and not here.

I have the coils sit about 3-4mm above the deck, and about 3mm away from the ultem insert.
Since the AF from wide open to closed is only 1/4 turn... I may turn it down what seems like 3 sets of holes... can't see exactly, to blind... but its where I find it to my liking...ymmv
I find it flavorful... but I also find plain vg sweet... one of those that are put off from juices that run greater than 12% and prefer my ADV which is is less than 10%
Now, my Le Concorde with a simple round wire build is leaps and bounds more flavorful, but that is comparing Apples to Oranges since one is primarily focused towards higher wattage with a larger drip tip/chamber/coils and air... and the later smaller and wattage under 30.

It sounds like people find success with different coil positions. My first try was like how you explained but maybe I wasn't using the right kind of coils.
I know I said I wasn't going to order any more but, Myvpro has Asgard Minis right now for $38 with code: AUGUST20. I ordered a Naval Brass. They have a few other colors left. I have confidence. Everybody seems to love them and I'm sure I'll learn to.
As counter intuitive as it may seem for that big RDA, I agree with Don. 2.5mm work best imho too.

Speaking of the Asgard Mini. You all will never guess what happened.
A box I had perched on top of a stack of books on the table started to slide the other day, and as it did, it knocked my Asgard Mini/Topside setup off the table, and now I cannot find the top or the drip tip to the AM ANYWHERE. It's like it fell into the Black Hole of Calcutta.
For two days we've been looking for it but no luck. This weekend I guess I'm going to have to pull all the furniture away from the walls and try to find it that way.
Of all the dumbass things to happen.
I can tell you right now... its at the other end of the room.
I'll be at my desk and doing something with building and or cleaning a RDA and I'll accidentally knock a drip tip off the desk... it lands on the chair mat and poof, its gone.
Last time that happened, I found the drip tip under my reading couch 10 feet away... luckily I have extra 810 drip tips I like more than the factory tips... but still... its like a damn gremlin grabs it after the first bounce and moves it.
I'm still missing an earring from 2 years ago. Yep, gremlins.

Years ago, I was setting stones into a ring for my sister - stones that she'd gotten from her late father over the years, and I had finally found a setting they'd all fit into. It was, if I remember correctly, a 4mm emerald, two 2.25mm diamonds, and a 1.5mm diamond. Which one went poof? Of course, the 1.5mm diamond.
I was bending a prong down onto it and it went "tink" and disappeared. I said (yelled) "NOBODY MOVE! DO NOT MOVE A MUSCLE!!!"
Wonder of all wonders, we found it, right in the middle of the living room floor, about five feet away from where I was working on the ring. I'll never be that lucky again if I live to be a hundred years old.
This cap, though is not five feet away from where it was when the mod fell. I am, as I said, not that lucky a second time.
