I dig it. Some more distress probably make that thing pop.

I’m not a huge purge mod fan, but they do make some good looking mods.

I didn't think I'd be a Purge mods fan either. But I got my hands on some... And they're weighty. Like... Hefty. Definitely not something you're going to throw in your pockets and run with.

The material itself it thick as hell. Be it brass or copper. I know they have a few SS and aluminum pieces as well, but definitely worth the weight imo. They also come almost spotless. I say almost because it's to be expected that sitting for awhile certain materials will tarnish and patina... But rarely have I needed to go ham on cleaning them. Usually it's a little wipe down and that's all she wrote.

Mostly not a fan cause of their branding and engraving or splatter patterns... reminds me of 2nd grade arts and crafts

I do like the Enforcer, OD Green/Brass right up my alley... not a lot of bling, just a tasteful amount of contrast.

Yeah, I can understand that. I didn't think I'd like the stingray color scheme, but I was wrong. It has a unique color and unique is right up my alley.

We like what we like

I think the most ornate mod I’d like to grab is a MRN reaper, or grab a RAD since those are rather plain Jane looking

Now an MRN Reaper without all the engraving, I’d pay out the nose for that.

EDIT:

MRN Reaper

Hell yeah! I got some vapemail today. Against my better judgement I was convinced to buy a Wismec Noisy Cricket that came today. My first impression of this TINY dual 18650 series mech mod is very good. It's extremely simple and it works. I th through in a fresh set of 20S batteries and put a pair of Serial Killer colis (.34 ohm for the pair) with rayon wicking in an Apocalypse RDA and put it on the Noisy Cricket. I'm impressed. This thing hits like a truck. I'll see how it holds up as time goes on.

That's what I was wondering. I have one sitting right in front of me. Hang on

Edit:looks to be a mm gap between the 24mm and the fire button
Interesting. I have a noisy cricket. Never tried anything other than a 22mm on it tho.

Not bad right? :D
For a rinky dink lil antique that costs as much as a box of subohm coils. I polished up my Fat Daddy upgraded bottom contact jumpers today. I also wrapped a piece of electrical tape around that clear insulator in the middle just because. That's not in the pic.

With the og. A pair for 4 bucks.

Not at all. The button is not interfered with at all.
I tried a couple 24s and other than the overhang had no problems either. What was great is that I happened to have an old Jay Bo Indestructible RDA that was intended for use with this mod. Right now I have a Rementry RDA on the gunmetal. This is the silver with the beat up Indestructible.

Had in indestructible I bought for my cricket. Used it once and then sold it. I like my pulse 22 on the cricket.

Yeah not the very best RDA ever and the top airflow was dumb which is why I closed it. Coil placement really makes a difference on it though. I like it once I got it setup how I wanted.

THIS RDA has ho hum build quality, terrible outta the box o-ring tolerances and is a dime a dozen deck design, but is also a truly awesome vape if set up right :D I kid you not. IF ONLY it had a squonk pin.

Thanks for the recommendation. It's a little banger. I paid $10 for it and $8 shipping. My wife likes how small it is but she doesn't like mech mods or drippers. That's good for me LOL!

You bet.

Like I said before. It's not going to replace the newer devices somebody might have, but for as cheap as they are, it's worth throwing in the collection for sure.

IMG_20200502_184721564~2.jpg I recently purchased a Viking Grip on "420" sale. Deal was buy either a Viking/Atom and get a black Exile and conversion cap for free. I went with the Viking and recieved the Exile but the cap was MIA. Contacted Florida Vapor Supply via email and they mailed me the missing cap no questions asked the next business day. I just wanted to put this out here cause I admire a company who takes customer service seriously and makes things right when things slip between the cracks. FVS has done me right the multiple times I've ordered from them.

Great to hear. I don't know why more companies don't get this longer term vision of customer service. So many don't want to give up a few bucks and in the process don't realize that a customer kept is also the best free advertising they could ever ask for.

Does it have a standard 2.5 or 3mm pin?

It's a regular 510, but non adjustable and not replaceable as far as I can tell. It's just flat on the bottom of the positive pin.
Gotcha, yeah idk that there is an option with those. I ordered a ton of bf pins from some place in the UK forever ago, and they work really good. Wish I could remember the place. Idk what they are made of, but the seem to have great conductivity. So much so I put some in drippers just for that and plugged em, lol

I already have a Drop and DR, both of which I love. A couple of the challenge caps for the DR too. I could never make up my mind whether I really wanted a DD or not. I'll get to it in the next few days. I'm sure it'll be good.
I like the drop and DR as well, so you should like DD I think. How are those challenge caps, never picked one up myself?

I know right? :wait:

For that price I grabbed a copper anodized though.

I grabbed a silver one

Now the hunt for my SS Goon 22... when we moved to our second condo I packed it... haven’t seen it since September of last year

Probably in that box of vape stuff in storage

Either case they’re only $25

I have like 8 Goons now and there always seems to be another one I need. How perfect would a 22mm Goon be on this mod? I have a 22, but it's brass

I used to have a NC back in the day, and the Goon 22 was on it... heck I probably have the NC still in the box of gear I just havent located since the move.

Just stuff I didn't use much of and put away...

Have 2 NC2-25s here, gave one to Shady a month or so ago... got those cheap too... $12

They just hit like potatoes even in unregulated series... good for RTAs

Remember liking the original NC minus the crunchy button, even the upgrade kit had a shitty button and put me off.

But $6 I can deal with the expectations of poop LOL

Series mods...

My daily use series mod. The pictures really don't do it justice.

Was yours crunchy from the start or did it go crunchy after a while? I haven't had either one that long, but neither seems to be that bad and the Fat Daddy magnetic switch is definitely smoother. I'm not kidding myself, they are both cheap switches, but it's a cheap mod :D

I also don't see the NC as being any more dangerous than any other not horrendously designed mech. Seems like this one took alotta heat (pun?) early on as being dangerous.

I think it took a lot of heat because pure series BOX STYLE mods weren't really a thing. Not to mention there was no protection should someone install the batteries improperly.

Most series box style mods used a mosfet or a fuse at that time. The NC was one of those that kind of came out of nowhere. Granted, you could get a stacked tube easily. Boxes? Of that form factor? With a direct contact 510? Not heard of.

Now I'm sure they were marketed, just not like the NC was. And maybe that scared people. Dangerous? Sure. Anymore dangerous than the next thing though? Doubtful. Take care of your batteries and check the orientation before threading anything back together and you were usually going to be fine.

Yeah it was crunchy all the time... more annoying than anything. I think that is what lead me to buy my Brass AV Able... another mod I don't use anymore...

Eh if I find my Goon 22... I'll probably slap it on my Pico Squeeze instead.

Be plenty busy tomorrow with the Viking Grip arriving... hopefully it performs nearly as well as the OG grip.

I really can't wait for tomorrow... and not because of the Viking Grip etc arriving... But 100% vapemail related topic ;) Can't ruin it, but its GOING TO BE RAD!
