Karen, i think her name is.

did you cut yourself or something ?

Karen was my sister who passed away from the CV-19 in May. Yes, I was putting a piece of slate on dirt behind the shed and went to chip a little piece off with a hammer. When I did it sliced my palm because it was like a cold cut slicer blade. I did not realize I cut myself until I saw blood.

No, no nerve damage, but it is like 3/4 inch or so slice but deep. Closed up nice just need to make sure I don't rip it open.

you didn't feel it, because it didn't hit a nerve.

if it is closed up and clean, put some super glue on it, a 1/4" all around it. i guarantee it will not open back up. and yes, its totally safe.

Right now I am just being careful and taking it easy. When I did it I cleaned it used the butterflies and put a latex glove over it to finish cleaning up that day. Sunday it was bit tender but today it is OK as long as I don't try picking up a gallon of wine~! That gave a little ouchy at the liquor store before~!

That is why they call them Marathons~! Only 3 13 Episode Seasons.

I know! But now Will is a murderer now, so I’m losing sympathy. lol

I ordered the book Red Dragon which this series is based on, yesterday on eBay. For $6, why not? The one after that is the Silence of the Lambs, which was a really good movie.

Since I can only drop Dad off and have to wait because they will not allow me in I will probably have lunch for my first meal. Eating too much bread so today will be a Big Salad.

I hope your dad’s okay. Now that I didn’t order farm food fo the week, and have to wait until next Monday, I’m craving salad and berries. But I’ve got lentils I’m soaking that I’ll make something with, maybe soup. I may try sprouting some of them!

This is to see an Orthopedist for his shoulder that he dislocated before the Pandemic started. Physical Therapy didn't work really, and he started complaining that it was causing him pain. So the PT stopped treating him and recommended him to and Orthopedic Surgeon. That one never got back to us so he called his own. If he needs an operation I don't think they are doing any of this type at present.

But you probably wouldn't eat the things I cook. Sure I make veggies but they are only part of a balanced diet. :coffee:

Well, for a special thing, I’d eat meat. I’m just trying to be healthier after being sick for a few months.

Even when I was eating my healthiest a few years ago, I still had eggs and yogurt. And I still ate chicken and some beef. But mostly I stir fried veggies with tofu for dinner and ate veggies or fruit for lunch most days. Maybe some yogurt or granola for breakfast.

Maybe a chiropractor can help. Or someone doing accupressure. If it’s the bone being out of place or something.

No, it was reset at the Hospital and he went to Rehab then was getting PT at home. Could be nerve damage or another soft tissue issue. Could also be my Father likes to complain and thinks he doesn't have to exercise it. He is looking for a magic pill I guess.

You know there should be a Stop and Shop near you to order a Pea Pod delivery. They sell organic Produce.

I’ve seen their trucks months ago before lockdown around here. I have to go to the bank, so I’ll prolly stop at a store afterwards and pick something up. And maybe splurge on some felafel and chicken and rice from a street cart guy near the bank. He cooks it right there and it’s really good. Usually when I see him, I splurge on meat since he makes it great, and he’s got good hot sauce and white sauce. <3

My dad is a complainer to the max. If he’s not complaining, then he’s unhappy!! He was not fun for me as a kid, though. :teehee:

This one is my first time working at masonry. Just learning how to make mud and such

This one was the first brick job. I was half way up the wall and had to take it down. The rows were off from the other wall. It was embarrassing, but never happened again ;) :)

This one I hated ! After laying some rocks, we had to wet a sponge and smear the mud on every rock and brick, it was a mess :blech:

This was one of my favorites. But, damn it was so very hot, every day was over 100° . We would start working when it was still almost dark out.

This one was the the most difficult. Behind the flue there was no wall to lay the rocks against. It was free standing and at a curve.

This one was the most PITA, it was in the basement ! All the supplies were in front of the house. Had to use a steel wagon to bring it around to the backyard and unload everything through a window, such a PITA ! It is for a wood burning stove. A year after finishing it, we ended up doing more work there in the bathroom in the basement :xD:
