Today I had to return a pair of shorts I bought and go to the Fish Market. Was pouring while I was driving I actually engaged the Auto 4WD because the roads were flooding. Lucked out that when I arrived at both places the rain let up to a drizzle but on the way home it was pouring again. Amazes me how Major Roadways can't handle rain. Never was like this years ago until they UPGRADED the drainage systems.

Morning, Don. You never have coffee?
I've never really been a coffee drinker. Every now and then in the winter I'll drink coffee. My wife makes me her special combination with coffee, hot chocolate and some spices. I drink my energy drinks like most people drink coffee. I'm diabetic but once in awhile I'll get a Monster Loca Moca. I also really like ice coffee once in awhile. Please don't kick me out because I don't drink coffee that much. LOL!

I love coffee, cocoa and cinnamon! I’ve been drinking tea during lockdown, too. I don’t really like soda or energy drinks, but I haven’t had them for years.

I drink kombucha when I want a cold fizzy drink. It’s fermented, sugar free, and tastes good. No caffeine, just carbonation!

I do drink a bunch of sun tea. We have some amazing jasmine tea. I do have to be careful with caffeine intake or just not sleep at night.

It’d be nicer to visit the past! :teehee: Missed you!
If you think about it though if you visit the past it would change the future but in theory if you visit the future it wouldn't change anything because it hasn't happened yet.

That’s true, but the past seems more interesting. Although there’s so much change happening now with this plague, I just pray that things turn out okay.

Green tea has less caffeine, I think. I do drink herbal tea if I don’t want caffeine. Also, there might be some that help with blood sugar too.

For sleep or relaxing, try chamomile and/or red clover. If you get loose tea and a tea ball, it tastes great mixed.

Also, Lemon Balm extract works great for me for sleep. Also for anxiety. I’m off the anti anxiety meds for years now, and it’s really helpful.

I've drastically changed my diet recently to get more healthy for upcoming surgery and to lose some weight. One of the things I thought was strange is the doctor said I should increase my caffeine intake in the morning to help boost my metabolism. Works for me. Another benefit has been I no longer have to take any insulin for my diabetes. That is AWESOME! Another positive is I'm sleeping much more soundly. Another thing that is really nice is the diet is very easy for me to stay on. Since I've started I've lost 25 pounds in 3 months.

The doctor gave me an app that you log in everything you eat for each meal. I can only eat between 10am and 6pm. Drinks don't count. Nothing sugary which has helped with my diabetes. Nothing white meaning no bread, rice, pasta, potatoes and such. Mainly fruits and vegetables. I'm suppose to eat 5 or six times in that 8 hour period but I can't do that so I just do breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The doc said that's ok. I've never been a big breakfast person so it works great, I eat lunch at work so that's easy too. The one problem is my wife is a great cook so dinners have changed a bit. No more enchiladas, spaghetti or tuna noodle casserole. Breakfast is a grapefruit, an apple and another piece of fruit. Lunch is a salad with tuna and a piece of fruit. Dinner is a lean piece of meat and vegetables. 1 gallon of water a day. Doctor said to keep it at 1800 calories a day. I've been able to easily stay between 1200-1500 calories a day. My biggest problem is not being able to exercise. I'm looking forward to getting the surgery and being able to really walk again.

That’s a great way to eat. If you have a chance check out Forks Over Knives dot com. It’s a plant based diet. There’s a film about it on Netflix.

Juicy Lucy did the no white food diet you’re doing and she loves it. I’m so glad it’s working out for you. One good side effect of this plague is that some people are getting into shape!!

I’m really happy for you. Hope your back is not acting up too much.:hug:

Hey I'm in shape. Round is a shape. LMAO! I once had a doctor I really liked. He was my doctor for over 20 years when he retired. We were talking about diets once and he told me "That's easy. If you put it in your mouth and it tastes really good spit it out because it's not good for you." Of course he was semi joking and he did help me out but dietary wasn't his specialty. He did send me to a couple different specialist but they don't want to listen to what I needed so it ended up not working. Plant based diets won't work for me. I'm definitely a carnivore. Thank for the advice though.
