Hope you all had a fun Thanksgiving, but BB, sounds like yours wasn't, much. Someone in your household needs his or her backside kicked, it sounds like. You and the wife really need your own place. It's disgraceful to be treated like that, especially by family.
We had my sister over, she was two hours late getting here, but we expected that because that's just the way it goes. Had turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, rolls, brownies, and we'd bought a coconut cream pie to have, but it never made it out of the freezer. We sent some leftovers home with sis and still have a mountain of food in the fridge. In my mind, the green bean casserole was the star of our show. I make it a little differently from most people, and I really like my own recipe. The turkey turned out good, too. Was very moist and flavorful. Used a cooking bag, which is customary for me. Hard to screw up a turkey when you use a cooking bag.
Watched a couple episodes of the new Dexter series (sis hadn't seen them yet) and the first episode of "Get Back" on Disney+ after we ate, and I think all three of us ended up asleep at one point or another. She headed out about 9:00 and by 9:30 I was in bed.
I have to work today, but I hope they don't need me much, because the carb coma I'm still in is practically debilitating.
I am thankful that my kids are all in a better place this year, I have a new grandbaby on the way in the next couple of months, hubbs and I are both making it ok and both of us have taken off a bunch of weight in the last eight months, my RL BFF survived her move to MCAS New River outside Jacksonville, NC, and finally some of the financial pressure on us is beginning to ease. That's a lot to be thankful for.
