Emma plays her ball game with my foot stool...she pushes the ball through the hole/openings, goes to another opening/hole and pushes the ball back underneath the footstool :teehee: she's been playing her ball game since she was a little over a year old.
This time Tangee decided he wanted in on the fun :teehee:
(Don't let her fool you .... she still barks at the kitties and mamma)

I was working on a project and the tv tray was in her way, well, besides Tangee being in her way :teehee:

Interview seemed to go well today.

The director of housekeeping could not make the interview. Got told by a team leader, Bren--- told me usually a "worker" sits in. I wound up interviewed by two team leaders. One sat "acting director" and Bren--- as the "worker".

The "director" asked those thought probing questions. "Tell me about a time you used creativity to solve a problem at work", "What are your motives for coming to work here" and so on. The "director" took notes. Once the interview ended I was allowed some questions.

Bren--- who has been doing it 20 years. "I like him." The lady acting director after one of my answers, "Me too." That still doesn't imply I've a job. The real director needs to review the interview, then HR will call one way or the other.

Been struggling past three days with sinus. It is due to our weather here, I'm nearly sure. The barametric pressure has my head clogged up. "Crying" with pressure to point of my left eye swelling shut.

Turned down a custodial assignment w/ schools tonight. There's a home football game. The guy who usually works the spots is known to call off at a hat drop. Figure he didn't want to bother doing game clean up. Me feeling gruff didn't either.

Sinus and aching muscles all over, from cold, warm, cold fits can tend to make one well, gruff. Put in simple terms ... "yeah, okay I wussed out". However, been known to work one armed due to the other being in a sling and doing live hang of chickens. As my wife says, I really need to slow down and know I'm getting older.

At times, better to step aside and "organize a stamp collection" or some such to give yourself a "break". There's also another matter with a "friend" of hes' having borrowed her Jeep. He ran from cops in it, hit someone, got hit then himself. Likely he was DUI, his third strike. Not sure Jeep will be "totaled" out by insurance. Still, it's something we need to handle.

If not one thing, ...

Possibly good news on this front. The police officer "in charge" of the incident told her she could get her Jeep back any time. Yes there is some "cosmetic" damage from my quick look over it. Guess it is still operable. She'll need some damages repaired for risk of being cited, that can be done once we get the Jeep back.

Wife told me and showed me a news article regarding. He actually hit someone's house, hit a Camry and rammed its rear end up like an accordion, got rear ended. Jeep remained solid, airbags did not deploy. I'm strongly suggesting she get that checked though. From the sounds of it they ought to have deployed. He was fine, pardon EMT experience, "drunks usually are".

Depending on the Year of the Vehicle a front end collision needs to be pretty damn hard on the Chassis where the SRS Sensors are located. I had a nasty accident that pushed the motor into the firewall but the bumper mounted to the chassis never touched anything. Air Bags didn't deploy~! Thank your lucky stars they didn't or the vehicle would be totaled because of the cost to fix them~!

Well I can see that point, totaling due to cost to repair. Consider my point though. Air bags don't deploy a life could be the cost and a person can forget even thinking of paying for that.

Our Jeep is a MK74 (this not that) what has model years from 2007–2017. I'm thinking it was likely end of run model, meaning 2017. If the labeling on it is correct it was built as a "high altitude" climber.

Asked Chris last night. "Now, you trust your hubby to suggest a truck/car for you? This one is built like a damn tank, hit a house, a car, got hit, stayed solid." She chuckled and said she had picked it out. Reminded her I kept harping she get a Jeep. She said I did good.

Dreading the thoughts of the motor. We go Monday to see about picking it up from the tow off company. I didn't pop the hood Thursday for my quick look over, lots I forgot I ought to have done. Despite myself let being pissed off at her jag off boy toy interfere. *smh & sighs* Hoping it'll run and not need much if any motor repair.

NB: Article/s may state it was his Jeep. It is in fact my wife's. He borrowed it while she was working. She knew he borrowed it, had no idea of anything else. He had borrowed it before without incident. Told her no uncertainty, he absolutely never borrows her transport again. She agreed and said she had already figured that herself. - Wife did not aid or abet for for him. She allowed a friend in good faith to borrow her truck. What he did is on him and himself alone.

PS: We had some rather serious discussion too. It was not really an argument so much as me simply wanting to understand from her. That was wrong of me, again, moving too fast. She needs more time to process. Ultimately though she agrees that she's got a naive little (wheedle) girl of five in her that readily trusts. Got a scrapping five year old little (wheedle) boy in me that does as well, yet he got a streak of being quick on him.

*chuckles* Yes, can assure We are grown adults & responsible, most of the time. We prefer though to enjoy childhoods we didn't get to have as adults. Both of us need to mind ourselves though, and we will.

Had to borrow FIL's car for laundry Sunday. Up to P'burg today to see about getting her Jeep back. Hoping the tow and impounding don't cost an arm.

Sometimes if you explain to the Impound Yard what happened they might give you a break on Storage Charges. The Tow they won't usually work with you on because the driver needs to get paid.

GOOD LUCK~!

Had explained, got no break.

Got the Jeep going. After a short distance though it pegged hot. She's having trouble with her insurance company. They wouldn't get back to give her any response if the Jeep was still fit, or totaled out.

Having trouble getting a rental. Enterprise are being butts over "not having anything like" what she drives. She just wants a damn car to go back and forth to work in until her Jeep is hopefully repaired. No, no, Enterprise has to be butts.

Look for us to need to sue & we really cannot afford that either. Hard to tell yet any estimate of what just motor work will run. Then, there's body work to consider. Yep, yesterday went from "Hm" to "Fuck" in a hurry. Damn Mondays.

Worked last night. It was an alleged 8 hour shift. I literally cut it in half. All the work got done. I took my time, it was quality work. Did not feel so jolly, finished and had her come get me in FIL's car. The shift was slated as 3-11 PM. I was there from 3-7:30 PM. Didn't start until 3:30 or so though, waiting on keys, students to leave.

I no longer ask at offices for keys. They either do not have, or what they hand out are keys 10 years dead which don't open anything. If I don't get a full timer to open stuff up, well, guess I go on home. Told Chris, "about ready to ask them point blank, 'want me to do the work, or not?'" That's how screwed up this place is, just all the more reason to look for something else.

That's just the "administrators" or "bosses" end of things. Then, I have to put up with pricks like Ti-- who tells me I'm not doing shit. I asked his principle right in front of him how I was doing, "no complaints". "Well Ben, you see you doing so good makes some full timers think you make them look bad, ..." My response is that is their problem not mine, they ought to keep up.

If you don't want to be there all night, don't go messing around all night. Go on, get the work done, go home. But they keep messing around. Then, it's my fault for doing what I'm told. "Work at your own pace. If you see things not needing done, don't, move to what needs done." Sorry if my pace is "I'm here to work, get done, go."

Not heard from hospital regarding work there. Not been too long though.

Good news: Got called from the recruiter. The hospital wants me on full time. For now it'll be 4 P to 12:30 A shift. Getting a minor issue sorted out. Then, we'll move to next phase. I think they'll likely bring in for some orientation and such. Will then go work with the "zombie" crew.

Got the Med-- Covid first dose & a flu vaccine today. Know I was hesitant earlier. Seems mercenary of me, maybe hypocritical. Person has to eat and provide for family. Yes, got vaccinated for the new job.

Feeling a little physically warmed, maybe a slight fever. Going to watch Forensic Files and pass out with Shrek for a bit. Hugs all 'round, get extra pass 'em on. Y'all run 'er slow.

Yes, I too didn't see a need to get vaccinated. I could have taken a
religious exemption from it. After sitting down to write out my
"religious" rationale to exempt, discovered my rationale was
secular.

Being Agnostic leaves one without the trappings of
religion, superstition. That noted it also removes the
benefits religions bring. For example one could argue that
being Christian, Jewish, Muslim that you were leaving it to
God's will.

And yes, with us wanting to get on with living our lives it
does come down to being Y.D.W.Y.G.D.. I need a more stable
and frequented source of income to help my wife. Extra income
will also mean more gets saved toward our dream of "our place".

The job with its work will be much the same as I do
currently. No great switch except to be a bit more professional,
be more on the ball about health risks.

I and wife have had Covid twice now. Know folks that lost folks
directly to Covid. Know folks that lost folks to vaccines. Know folks what lost jobs not getting vaccinated. Know folks which kept jobs without vaccinating. My point is it's all an absurd coin toss anyway.

“Loyalty was the most fundamental of samurai virtues. Without loyalty there was nothing. To Kawakami, who had looked at loyalty from every possible angle - examining loyalty was, after all, his occupation - it had become increasingly clear that the days of personal allegiance were coming to an end. Loyalty, in the future, must be to a cause, a principle, an idea, not a man or a clan.”
― Takashi Matsuoka

“All right," said Susan. "I'm not stupid. You're saying humans need... fantasies to make life bearable."

REALLY? AS IF IT WAS SOME KIND OF PINK PILL? NO. HUMANS NEED FANTASY TO BE HUMAN. TO BE THE PLACE WHERE THE FALLING ANGEL MEETS THE RISING APE.

"Tooth fairies? Hogfathers? Little—"

YES. AS PRACTICE. YOU HAVE TO START OUT LEARNING TO BELIEVE THE LITTLE LIES.

"So we can believe the big ones?"

YES. JUSTICE. MERCY. DUTY. THAT SORT OF THING.

"They're not the same at all!"

YOU THINK SO? THEN TAKE THE UNIVERSE AND GRIND IT DOWN TO THE FINEST POWDER AND SIEVE IT THROUGH THE FINEST SIEVE AND THEN SHOW ME ONE ATOM OF JUSTICE, ONE MOLECULE OF MERCY. AND YET—Death waved a hand. AND YET YOU ACT AS IF THERE IS SOME IDEAL ORDER IN THE WORLD, AS IF THERE IS SOME...SOME RIGHTNESS IN THE UNIVERSE BY WHICH IT MAY BE JUDGED.

"Yes, but people have got to believe that, or what's the point—"

MY POINT EXACTLY.”
― Terry Pratchett, Hogfather

“If you trust in yourself. . .and believe in your dreams. . .and follow your star. . . you'll still get beaten by people who spent their time working hard and learning things and weren't so lazy.”
― Terry Pratchett, The Wee Free Men

“But here's some advice, boy. Don't put your trust in revolutions. They always come around again. That's why they're called revolutions.”
― Terry Pratchett, Night Watch

“There's always a story. It's all stories, really. The sun coming up every day is a story. Everything's got a story in it. Change the story, change the world.”

Could quote Sir Terry Pratchett's wit & wisdom on and on. You could also go read some of his works, or look over at Good Reads for more quotes.
