Y'all know wot?

Two days into not fighting myself, and it feels great! :) How I wish I had been told, taught this a lot sooner in life. It has really put everything into perspective for me. Able to now tell people, "sorry, I'm doing other stuff", or "nope, taking a breather." The world doesn't end when Atlas lets down his shoulders. :)

Thought I would be spending the weekend helping wife get us moved. She informed me, we can only get the key/s on the 4th or after, though. We might still do some packing up, and preparing this weekend. Usually she'll wait until last minute, and then be methodical (read extremely slow) in getting us ready, packed up.

Such methodology often causes me stress. Not sure if it will now, seem fairly used to her ways of doing. May have to read about a WV lady beating her husband to death, however. "He wouldn't quit chuckling at me."

I know the first time you decide to go in the Kitchen and make a Cup of Tea or Coffee with No Dumbass to deal with any longer you will feel like.................... Life Is Good~!

Congratulations on the move up~!

I recently treated myself to some flavored coffee pods. I just randomly grab one each morning so it's a surprise (if it's one I have already tried, I'll grab another... that hasn't happened yet) Today was french toast. This is so fun! I add sugar and creamer. My second cup is just regular black coffee (don't need any more sugar after that first one) I was so happy when I noticed this was "SNAP eligible" on Amazon:

Aye, that'll be one of the better aspects of it. :)

Boy, I humped tonight. Got to do the position of Joha--, she's the Old World German lady on our crew. I took a little longer doing. Wanted to ensure she knew I did well. Going quicker at it will come in repeating it.

Told that I am indeed the team's new "floor technician". Will be that makes the floors a glass like reflective sheen. Got the O.R. outer floor and Central Core so clean, a Marine will eat off of them. Moonbeams glow upon hitting floors c;leaned by me.

I'll still be called up as a pinch hitter for other positions. One thing is I'll be the "Trash Man", so long as, I have a truck driver. They move the trash across the street to a secure facility & compactors. I'll be the one running the bin carts to the truck and loading it. After tonight, I'll also be Joh--'s double.

My boss was shocked. "Ben, she's a workhorse, and you nearly got all her stuff done. The only extra is she goes and helps pull beds." That's why I have to get quicker, & will. :) Think I kind of give my boss chills too. He saw how well I use a braided cotton head mop. *chuckles* Still, a Marine would eat off my decks. Ha.

Not trying to bash you in any way however, most of the Marine's I have known would eat just about anything anywhere. I'm sure glad it seems to be working out well for you.

Hmm. *grin*

Probably a better frame of reference, ever seen Patton leather tips on shoes glimmer in sunlight? Imagine a whole deck shining that high gloss with the moon coming into the room via a window.

Got told long ago that a place is first judged by a floor. If the floor looked so good, nobody wanted to step on it to ruin it, you would have and continue staying in business thick. If your floor is all grungy, you'll maybe get a trickle from time to time, not enough to sustain.

I'm at a hospital, people expect hospitals to be clean. Mine will let you know at first glance. "Ah, their floors are damn sharp. This must be a good hospital, maybe the best." My boss types keep pushing on our crew, "set the standard". I say in my mind, "uh huh, yeah sure boss types, but you'll not keep up."

Belated Happy New Year and a good morning for 1/2/2023. New Year's Eve was spent watching football. Two amazing bowl games! New Year's Day was all about family time. Today I'm just drinking my coffee and counting the many blessings I've received. I've got an appointment at 2:00 for the truck to get the tires balance checked and rotated as well as checking the alignment. Other than that I'm going to play the day by ear.

Getting moved & working here. Saw apartment tonight. Wife says cozy, I say sardine tin. We'll make it work though.

Tired, gonna rack, up again in morning to unload truck I helped load this morning, yesterday. Then work and home to apartment.

ETA appx 7:30: A bit sad this morning. We're leaving behind Maow & Liam, our two boy cats. We're taking Shrek & Mammy. Mammy doesn't get on well with other cats, she's a diva. Maow & Liam seem to get on as "brothers".

Hopefully, her sister & brother-in-law won't let them suffer or be neglected. She's leaving instructions to take them to a nice place if they decide to not want cats. The ladies there will get them adopted or taken to a no kill shelter

Going to miss my boys. Damn it. Mammy is nice, but she's also not my boys.

Guess here in a bit we'll finish loading up, get up there. She's not bringing some of the larger furniture we have, just no room, no way to get it in.

Well, got to do what you got to do.
