My misses is really struggling with her health, so mostly im the cook now. :(
Im happy to do it no probs, im just sad for her. Its not life threatening but is very debilitating for her.
So tonight I tried to cheer her up with an Aussie take on an Italian pasta dish.
I got some good beef mince, as well as the other ingredients to make my version of a comfort Italian dish. Onions, garlic, parsley, tomatos, oregano, thyme.
Slow cooked it all and dished up with zucchini noodles. She was happy so I was too.

I have always wanted to try those. Wish we had better seafood options in our town. Was looking yesterday, same ole same ole, prawns, few different kinds of fish and packaged mussels. Half of those too come from either Vietnam or China. Definitely not buying anything from China now given how much they hate us, I wouldn't trust it.

Having a Fish Market so close makes it easy to eat like a Shore Restaurant~!

Lovely. My Mum had some plates like that. :) Good memories.
I made chicken wings with roast veg tonight but no different to others.
Planning though something different for Saturday night. Got some nice beef cooking steak, swedes, turnips, and other things. Will see. Cold and very wet now so its all gonna be comfort food.

Porterhouse Steak with onion mushroom gravy and Turnip, Swede and Potato bake.
Never used those three together before and did the sauce a new way out of just water and wholemeal flour with herbs then added the cheese last on top. Turned out nice and much lighter than the usual creamy thick type full of cheese we are used to.

Tonight was a simple shop pizza which we put some anchovy stuffed olives cut in half on and some cheese. So cant really take any credit with a picture.
But can for this. Misses made a Cinnamon Pear slice cake from scratch and her on the spot idea made up recipe.
Winner! 👍

Rigatoni with Sauteed Eggplant and Ricotta Cheese. OMFG so delicious~! Whole meal cost around $10 but in a Restaurant you pay much more. Have to pay for prep and cooking.

Did a Turkey mince (ground Turkey for you others) with Parmesan cheese and vegies Pie tonight. And oven cooked herb chips.
Tried several times to post some pictures but its getting very tiring here lately posting anything, music vids, pictures, editing the lot. To take 10 to 20 mins per post is getting a bit beyond. If you dont see me here in the near future on the forum its because iv given up.
Cheers all and stay well.

Hi yeah I try everything. Since the site upgrade here everything is a pain and takes a ridiculous amount of time.
This was waiting to type the first letter in this reply...
(Insert the actual picture here)
Its not even supposed to be an attachment, it was uploaded as a properly inserted picture. This just here took over 5 minutes.
Upgrade? Was more like a major downgrade!

Yeah, brother. Just been really busy at home. Typical summer here: chasing the kids and what not.
Thank you for asking; and hope all is wel with you and yours.
Hi and great to hear. We hear so much bad about Covid in other countries like yours it makes one go "uh oh, where are they, are they ok!?"
Good you are good. Yep we are going ok too.
Bit of a pain in the proverbial here as of late as have not been able to post pics on this thread. But, there are much worse things in life than that.
Stay well and safe mate 👍

I’ll mention to the mod team about the pic issue. Have you tried using the button in the text body? The attach files button at the bottom doesn’t work well. The one above works fine for me.
thankfully I’ve gotten the vaccine and my area has had a fairly low rate of the vid as of late. Hopefully it stays that way. I’ve read a bit about australia having an outbreak lately. Stay safe, please! I had it back in the beginning of the outbreak. It’s no fun that’s for sure.
